A fantastic and suspenseful romance. Chris and Kate were so funny together and of course sexy. My Heart did hurt for Kate

This review is for an ARC of Shadow Of Doubt.

Things are heating up for the Sanctuary guys and the locals are still not very friendly. What they are up to in the mountains becomes a little clearer and the people involved come to light.

You will feel for the heroine and how her family treats her, the bad guy Luther I dont know if I have enough words to describe how much of a douche he is.

Kate and Mad Dog were great, she was down to earth and a real person and his loyalty and fierceness was

I always enjoy the stories written by Abbie Zanders.Kate and Chris(Mad dog) were a fantastic couple. There was romance, mystery, jealousy, hot scenes and even a little bit of evening the score. Once I started reading this is was so hard to put down. I love the way that each of the characters seem real, not perfect. I loved Kate, she was so sweet and the nicest person. Her family didnt deserve her. I wanted to scream at her parents , younger sister Kylie, as well as the women from the ladies ...more

This great series from Abbie Zanders just keeps getting better. The mystery surrounding Sumneyville, the mines & Sanctuary is deepening and the adage about being able to choose your friends but not your familiy is very true in this story. Shadow of Doubt is beautifully written with plenty of romance, mystery, action, hot scences, great characters (good & bad), heartache & small town life to keep everyone entralled - I certainly was!
Kate is a wonderful character - kind, self-reliant,

This book just catches your attention and does not let go. I stayed up way too late trying to finish as the action keeps going! Brian aka Mad Dog is helping his friends out with Sanctuary, a place being set up to help vets coming home adjust to civilian life. He meets Kate when he goes to the hardware store for ice melt and a shovel. He is intrigued by her. The next time he comes back to town she has put supplies back for him and he asks her out which does not go over well with her family. Her ...more

This my favourite chapter so far. Chris (Mad Dog) and Kate meet and they hit it off. Chris is the perfect alpha, he lets Kate decides her important decisions and he's there to support her no matter what. The chemistry is hot once Chris gives in. I love when he says "Words, Kate. I need to hear you say it." "I'm sure. I want this. I want you." "Then, grab something and hold on, baby because I'm not going to stop unless you tell me to. Got it?" Other panty melting scenes - "I am the man who will ...more

An action packed romance with plenty of sarcasm and humor

Kate is a sweet and selfless tomboy who works for her father in the family hardware store. When Mad Dog stopped at the store to buy supplies, sparks flew and he couldnt keep her out of his head.

As their relationship progresses, Kate begins to feel the effects from having ties to Sanctuary. Her family is very selfish and use her to their advantage. He ex-boyfriend is a jerk and her father doesnt want to rock the boat. Eventually, things

Shadow of Doubt is a wonderful love story set against a backdrop of the ever deepening divide between Sanctuary and the townsfolk of Sumneyville, family dissension and the increasingly secretive group of preppers. Chris "Mad Dog" Sheppard is a gorgeous, intelligent, loyal and a gentle giant until you cross him. Kate Handelman is a giver, compassionate, caring, family oriented and one lusty woman. The connection between Mad Dog & Kate is palpable and growing stronger each day. They just ...more

I could not put Shadow of a Doubt down. Abbie Zanders did an awesome job with this book, and I read it in one sitting! This is the third book in the Sanctuary series, and the mysterious plot in Sumneyville is getting more complex by the second. Sometimes there are things that you just dont want to know about people that you have known forever. There is a shadow of a doubt whether things could be true or not. The truth can be heartbreaking. Yet it can reveal a bright side. Kate and Mad Dog had ...more

Mad Dog and friends are working to make Sanctuary a refuge for Vet's. Their group receives a lot of animosity from the people of the town. During a trip to town, Mad Dog goes into the hardware store and meets Kate, the daughter of the owner, who is working there. Knowing the obstacles he faces, Mad Dog, aka Chris, decides to risk it and ask her out anyways.

Kate likes Chris, but her family is pushing her towards another. Everything isn't as rosy as she's always believed. After being injured,

Were back in Sumneyville for book 3 in Sanctuary. This is about Chris[Mad Dog] and Kate. I loved the interaction of this couple. The way Mad dog puts Kate first which her family never did. We see that things haven't changed between Sanctuary and the locals. We see why maybe some of the locals don't want them on the mountain! This story has drama, mystery, action and romance with some twists and turns throwed in. I loved the characters expect for Luther what can you say about Luther? Abbie has ...more

Family members are not always what we think, and nontraditional family members are ultimately who have your back when needed, parents should love their kids above all else not taking sides against them, for not having a traditional marriage, the wonderful things the sanctuary men are doing for veterans to adjust to life in the world after military life and it's hardships is an awesome thing that they do and narrow minded small town gossips trying to ruin a great thing and great people, the love ...more

I WANT MORE!! Worst thing about being an ARC reader is knowing once your done itll be a while before the next in the series comes out. Ive read the others in this series and enjoyed them, but there was something extra about Kate and Mad Dog. Kate has such a kind and giving heart, always doing for others and never for herself. She had such an awesome personality, funny and witty. Its to bad her family sucks. Mad Dog is the perfect match for her. Protective and the perfect amount of

I loved the latest installment of the Sanctuary series by Abbie Zanders. Brian "Mad Dog" Shepherd and Kate Handlemann have become my new favorite couple of this series. The plot is very complex and intriguing. The characters grabbed my attention from the first page, and held it until the last. Plot progression had me at the edge of my seat at all times.

If you like military romances, I would highly, highly recommend this book to you. Abbie Zanders has written a fantastic story yet again.

I love Abbie Zanders Sanctuary series and this book didnt let me down. I enjoyed the interaction between Kate and Chris (Mad Dog) it was good catching up with the rest of the guys at Sanctuary. I experienced emotions I rarely have while reading- anger and sorrow. Anger at the way the town and her family treated Kate and sorrow at her being let down by her family, the people who are supposed to have her back. On a happier note Duke is brilliant and I want him to be mine. Cant wait for the next ...more

I was given the ARC copy for an honest review. What a fabulous next installment in the Sanctuary series from Abbie Zanders. Kate and Mad Dog are such a fun pair. I really liked that Chris (Mad Dog) saw Kate for who she is, not what she could do for him. Kate's family is awful. No one should take the side of an outsider over a family member. However, one thing this story brings home is that
family can be anything that you make it. I cannot wait to see where the rest of this series is going.

I love Abbie Zanders. Her books are awesome and Shadow of Doubt is no exception. Mad Dog and Kate are perfect together in so many ways, though there are others that would prefer they kept their distance. Her family isnt all wonderful; her ex, well, the best thing about him is his absence; and who knows who to trust in town. But she and Mad Dog have a connection, and you know there will be twists and turns, but also and HEA since it IS and Abbie Zanders book. I couldnt put it down, I loved it. ...more

I was given an advance copy for my honest review.

I really liked this latest installment in the Sanctuary series. The character development was well thought out and the storyline was believable. I was hoping for a little more drama but can see where the author is building suspense for future stories.

Overall I highly recommend this book and all the no ks in the series, and cannot wait for more.

Great read. Loved the story. Chris and Kate are such a cute couple. The struggles they go through to be together just makes you want to scream. The people in the town are horrible, Kate's family except her older sister should be shot. As usual, Abbie tells a story that leaves you wanting more and her books are always flawless with no errors. As someone who worked as a proofreader for years I notice.

Kate meets Brian when he comes into her family's hardware store for a few things. He walked out being very curious about Kate, and wants to know more. Kate was flustered to say the least, when sexy SEAL Brian Sheppard talks to her for a minute, as she rings up his purchases. Kate can't stop thinking about Brian, even though Brian is one of those "Sanctuary guys". Their road to a HEA is filled with laughter, intrigue, and danger. You will want to get this book ASAP. Sorry, no spoilers

Abbie Zanders never lets me down. I have yet to read a book of hers that I didn't love and this is no exception. This installment of the Sanctuary series is Mad Dog and Kate's journey. It continues the on going story of series and builds the suspense. Abbie's books are always well written and edited and her characters are well developed. I would definitely recommend this book and the whole series.

I love Abbie Zanders books. As with all her books it is well written and edited. It is a easy read that you dont want to put down. The characters are well developed and likable. This book didnt have the suspense element that her other books have. Also, this book is part of a series with a ongoing plot which I really dont like. I prefer stand alone books with intertwined characters like the Callaghan series. For that reason I gave it a 4 star. ...more

Abbie delivers another amazing story that will keep you glued to your kindle from start to finish. The storyline was packed with romance mystery and plenty of hot scenes. Love Brain and Kate both as couple and as individuals. As couple they were so hot, adorable and had great interactions with each other. Found Kate to be a very warm likeable leading lady, Brain came across the perfect balance of alpha male who still allowed Kate to stand on her own two feet.

Absolutely adored this story in the Sanctuary series. Kate is a strong women and finally being the person she wants to be. Her character is so real. Chris is exactly the person I hoped he would be. An engaging read I couldn't put down. Twists and turns, great characters, romance, heart, heat, and humor. I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review

Im loving this new series from Ms Zanders. Knowing its set not far from the Callaghans is a bonus as we get glimpses of them from time to time. Mad Dog and Kates story had drama intrigue and love. I am totally in love with the Sanctuary series! I love the couple, MadDog & Kate. And I feel for this whole group with the way this town is towards them all. The storyline is great & although you could read it as a stand-alone you have got to read the other two because the underlying suspense is building. I cannot wait for the next one!
