For scuba divers who were trained in the early years of the sport [1957 - circa 1980] This was the book you learned from. A total of six editions 1957, 1962, 1968, 1974, 1980 and 1985 came from the CNCA, whose agency members grew to include YMCA, NAUI and PADI. The course book was designed to provide instruction over 10 to 12 sessions, giving the new diver a lot of information on the physics and physiology of diving, something that today's modular form of instruction typically breaks down to two or three modern courses. Still a great work that should be included in any diver's library.
