Apokalypsis #2

Apokalypsis Book Two

Life was precious. People used to say things like that all the time, but none of them realized how true that saying would turn out to be. Life was precious, indeed. Each person in the room had lost someone or everyone…

Avery Andersson led a charmed life, even if she had seven siblings, still lived at home, had no love life (or much of a life at all), and was a homeschool kid growing up. She loved her simple life, though, and her parents, who were as devoted to their children as they were each other. As she bears witness to some strange occurrences all happening within the span of a few weeks, Avery begins to question everything she knew and how it was all changing so quickly. Meeting a dark and brooding soldier who saves her life only adds to the confusion she is spiraling into.

The sexy-cute blonde from the bar, the same one he’d saved from possibly being murdered by some random creep, was a homeschooled nerd from a family full of odd siblings and equally strange parents? And her mother was the therapist he was being forced by the Army to see at least once a week. Great. Combine that with her obvious distaste for him and clear disgust by his tattoos and Tristan knew enough to stay away from Avery Andersson for good.

However, their lives are about to intersect again and again as one tragedy after the other forces Tristan and Avery together in order to survive. As events escalate, the country begins to collapse and the night crawlers multiply by the hour, they will learn that fighting this out and sticking together is going to be their only answer.

I live on a small farm in Ohio where I tend a shabby garden, take care of my crazy horses and chickens and enjoy writing. Check out my website: www.katemorrisauthor.com for recipes from the book, my blog, articles and information about books two and three. Book Two out now.

I am the author of the new trilogy, The McClane Apocalypse. Books one and two are out now. Check them out on Amazon, Barnes & Noble or iBooks.

The McClane Apocalypse, Book One of the series. Follow the McClane family as they struggle to survive on their TN farm. Romantic suspense filled with hot Army Rangers and a broken and beautifully flawed female protagonist. Don't read chapter two if you need to be anywhere any time soon!

The exciting second installment of The McClane Apocalypse is out now!! Fraught with human emotion, complex relationships, and the continued fight for survival, book two takes the reader on a thrill ride that doesn’t let up- not even after the last page has been turned.

Story good, but

There was just to much religion in this book for my taste, although there was less of it in the last quarter of the story. For this reason I am debating if I want to continue this series or not.
On the other hand, the premise of the story is interesting and is well written. In most books I would have stopped reading with all the mentions of prayer and church and a heroine so naive as to be TSTL, but the story had me totally hooked enough to keep me reading.

Warning u won’t put this book down once started!

Once I started this series I have not been able to put it down! The characters are well thought out and will come to mean so much to you. I felt my heart rate speed up with all the suspense! I love books with romance and characters that feel like family that have a lot of suspense and keep u guessing until the last page! If you like those things then u won’t be disappointed! I can’t wait for book four when the first three books of ppl will obviously collide!

Love this series!!!!!!

Not sure why Book 3 and 4 arent on Goodreads. They are great too!

(Except for the whole subplot for Wren. That's ridiculous and totally unbelievable- which is saying a lot considering the book is about an apocalyptic pandemic with zombie like humans. I hope the author doesnt continue with that because with the state of the world in being what it is in the books, the subplot for Wren would NEVER be an issue. Most of the world's population is just trying to survive! I'll be very disappointed if it plays a role in future books!)

I enjoyed this so much. This is the second book I’ve read by this author. I’m enjoying it.

**********SPOILER ALERT!!!! ***********

Some part of me thinks that her father is so smart that he will end up being the head night crawler. He will rally them Until they take over the world like some ogres. He still hasn’t been found. This creeped me out so much at times. I was reading it wigging out. This author has a devious but very imaginative mind. I respect her, she gets mad props from me. I have a feeling I’m going to read this whole series. I highly recommend this book.

Better than book one but only in that I enjoyed the pairing of Tristan and Avery more than Jane and Roman. However both are brilliantly written and very enjoyable, with characters that you can become attached to.

Another excellent book in the series.

Books one and two focus on totally different characters, which was unusual, but I ended up liking book two's characters more than book one. Very plot driven series. Looking forward to seeing where the series ends up.

Confused at first

I was scrambling in the beginning, I didn't remember any of what I was reading. Then I realized it was a different set of characters, in a different location. For a minute there I thought Alzheimers had finally kicked it. Other than MY confusion the story is great. But isn't everything she writes!

Again...couldn't put it down

I enjoyed this book as much as the first, especially Tristan and his broken past. A complicated yet chivalrous man. Once again Morris draws you in with emotion and suspense in a survival situation. I'm eager to see how this group will intersect with the group from book one and what this new world will have in store for them in the future.

Pretty Good

I almost gave up on the book in the beginning because the female lead character seemed a little too sanctimonious for me. I'm glad I stuck with it. This is a great entertaining apocalyptic romance
