Rate this book
When a beautiful but deadly assassin murders a man in a DC hotel room, Noble is ordered to find the killer and bring her to justice.

After the devastating death of Samantha Gunn, Jake Noble has spent every night since drinking himself into oblivion. Jake’s world is shattered and he’s looking for answers. Instead he gets a call from Langley.

A Secret Service agent has been found dead. The CIA wants to know who killed him and why. Noble tracks the assassin across two continents only to discover a larger, more sinister plot at work. Someone is trying to destroy the United States of America, and Noble may be the only man who can stop it.

Book 4 in the highly popular Jake Noble Thriller Series!

“A top-notch thriller.”

“A truly a well written, fast-paced, page turning book; I loved it!”

“This was a wonderfully well-written and intense thriller that I thoroughly enjoyed and I will definitely be grabbing future releases in this series.”

“Fun, sexy, and dark.”

“I agree with other readers who have compared Miller's NEW HERO - Jake Noble to Mitch Rapp, Scot Harvath, and I would add Kyle Achilles and Sean Drummond.”

I was born and raised in sunny Saint Petersburg, FL on a steady diet of action movies and fantasy novels. After 9/11, I left a career in photography to join the United States Army. Since then, I have travelled the world and done everything from teaching English in China to driving a forklift. I studied creative writing at Eckerd College and wrote four hard-boiled mysteries for Delight Games before releasing the first Jake Noble book. When not writing, I can be found indoor rock climbing, playing the guitar, and haunting smoke-filled jazz clubs in downtown Saint Pete. I’m currently at work on another Jake Noble thriller. Challenging to read because of the melodrama, misspelled words, use of British English with obviously American characters, and many strangely written passages. For example:

German Shepherd dogs had “yellow eyes.” Were they suffering from jaundice? Better get them to a veterinarian, post haste, I say!

Other passages that either left me laughing or pitying:

“. . . giving birth to her colon.” (Regarding a female character, as she worked with a wrench and screwdriver). I do not get that phraseology.

”. . . a fresh gout of blood. What is that, "gout of blood"?

“Her back and legs were piano wires . . .” Really?

“. . . she had long chestnut curls and a beauty mark on her left cheek to match her Canadian passport. That passage made me wonder why the passport would have a beauty mark.

Proofreader, please! The poor writing did not move me.

Another winner for Miller

Not as many bullets flying as in the first four Jake Noble books but more points to consider.
--how much slack can you cut for an old friend,
--how far can you really trust a single-minded assassin,
--how does it feel when your body says, ok, we just can't physically do this anymore.

***At the end of book 4 and the beginning of book 5, I thought that I would have changed some of the outcomes. A "nod" to Miller as I read the Epilogue in book 5. Nice Work! I'm looking forward to see how you put this back together.
I highly recommend this book.

All the Noble Books are Great!

I read 1-4 within days. I am eagerly looking forward to the next book in the series. The ongoing efforts to suppress Jake Noble get old, but I enjoy the character development and the right amount of detail shared to truly set the stage for the ensuing scene. And (spoiler alert) I was hoping Sam might still be alive!! Like I said, I can’t wait for the next book.

New Favorite Series

Couldn’t stop reading until I read them all, definitely looking forward to more in the future! A fresh new perspective on the action adventure series, and I just hope there are many, many more along the same vein. Bravo, and thank you for my newest obsession. Long live Jacob Noble!

The plotline is good and ending leaves you wanting more. Unfortunately, the grammar and spelling errors, especially near the end, detract the reader significantly. For example wench instead of winch

Other errors occur that makes the reader wonder if it proof read at all. A shame that it occurs more frequently towards the end.

Too bloody and gory

This last book in this series was just as intriguing and suspenseful as the other three but really took a turn towards the end. I am not sure if I will continue with this author. This last book is just too over the top for my taste and that is a shame as he really had me captured in the beginning.

Noble Sanctions

I enjoy the character of Jake Nobel. A great character with just the correct amount of adventure as well as morality, and dedication. It would be nice if he existed. The storyline was interesting and I was unable to put it down. What will happen to Sam Gunn. I am unable to download the novella.

this was a good one

Book started fast and stayed entertaining the whole way through.
Author is good, not great. Main character if he was as pro as the author would have us believe wouldn’t get blinded by emotion and would have better tradecraft. That being said I will read the rest.

Current as hell

Once again the story fits our nation's current environment. Murder is a thin disguise of the America hating G. Soros! I'm the first or second novel we had a thin disguise for H. Clinton! I love it!

Trill ride!!!

Noble is not your standard hero. He's flawed but true to himself! This is a series that I have read twice and it continues to captivate my attention keeping me awake until I finish each book!!

Still recovering from losing Samantha Gunn in the previous book, Jake Noble is recruited by the CIA to chase down another assassin and stop a foreign mastermind's plan to crash the American economy with trillions in counterfeit bills.

Another fun read.

Enjoyable read with a huge plot twist

I really enjoyed this installment of the series. The characters fit well and the twists and turns were a great add. The feelings were raw and real. On to the next book to continue the story.

Enjoy how Mr. Miller continues to change up geographic locations and plot focus, while developing his characters across the series, such as Ezra and Gwen.

Great Story

Another great addition to the series. Really needs some better editing; typos and missing words take away from the great story. Looking forward to reading the next one.

Jake rules

Four books into the series and I am addicted. Jake Noble just keeps getting better every page. The adoption of the dog just made the books perfect. Ready for number 5.
