Sixteen-year-old Iduna harbors a dark secret. On the surface, she is an Arendellian village girl, an aspiring inventor, and the best friend of Prince Agnarr, but she is also secretly Northuldra.

Ever since the day the forest fell, Arendellians have despised and distrusted Northuldra with a vengeance. No matter that the Northuldra-along with some of Arendelle's own-have been

Frozen 2 Dangerous Secrets The Story of Iduna and Agnarr
By Mari Mancusi
The backstory of how Iduna and Agnarr met. How they became friends and then fell in love with each other.
Their story is not an easy one. Nor does it have a happy ending. We already know that from the Frozen stories. But they did have each other. And their love is all encompassing.
Iduna and Agnarr come from two different kingdoms and Agnarr isn’t aware of the secrets that Iduna is keeping. Together they learn the importance

I received an advance review copy of this book from Disney Publishing Worldwide and NetGalley in exchange for a review of the work.

I enjoyed this book a lot! There's a good amount of meat on its proverbial bones, which bolsters the tired tropes used in teen romance/drama. I loved the persevering spirit it added to the narrative of the Frozen Universe, and I appreciated how in-depth the characterizations of Agnarr and Iduna were. The story was ultimately a bit predictable, but this didn't take an

Dangerous Secrets is the greatly anticipated prequel to Frozen II which, for the first time in forever, shines the spotlight onto King Agnarr and Queen Iduna of Arendelle.

The 2019 film undoubtedly revealed some of these secrets, such as Iduna being Northuldra and saving Agnarr as a child as well as the two of them venturing to Ahtohallan to find the answers behind Elsa’s powers. Unfortunately, thanks to the film, we also know that they never completed their journey.

Okay, so I was super skeptical of this book at first and was going to give it to my younger cousin. Being the person I am I decided to read it first just to make sure it was okay for her to read, (I think I might wait a few years though). But I am so happy I read it because it was so good!!! I know I know, you all are probably really judging me but if you are a huge frozen fan like I am, this is a must read. It is also really fun because you already know how the story ends and now you are readin ...more

This book was received as an ARC from Disney Publishing Worldwide - Disney Press in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

Being a huge Disney fan and seeing frozen 2 for the first time on DVD/Blu-Ray I was excited to dig into this book. Knowing the struggles of Elsa and Anna and how their parents got killed and what really happened to the fate of Arendelle. All questions are answered with this book with its main focus being on the Kin

Yay! Cheering this title on! Disney sent us an ARC for review, and my daughter squealed when she saw the book. According to her, she has been "wanting a really good book to read for ages" ;) , and apparently this fit the bill. I love how Disney takes an already gorgeous story and creatively builds and expands upon it to create a fantastic world for their fans. Keep the magic alive and thriving, and this book does that in spades. Thanks for sending our way, Disney!

Knowing how it would end didn't matter at all - I didn't want to put it down! The backstory of Elsa and Anna's parents, Iduna and Agnarr, in Frozen 2 was immediately for me one of the most charming and intriguing aspects of the movie. Even sparsely told and with large gaps left for the viewer to guess about, I already considered it the greatest Disney princess love story...and it's about the princesses' parents! Almost a year later, author Mari Mancusi has filled in the gaps at last, in a story ...more

This book was such a great and enjoyable read. This is about the childhood of Elsa and Anna's parents from Frozen. As a huge fan of Disney's Frozen, I loved this book. It was great to know more about Iduna and Agnarr since we didn't get much information about them from the movies. I enjoyed the author's writing for this book and the pacing. The author did a wonderful job of telling the story of the parents from when they were 6 to when they have their daughters.

Often when one enjoys a good book, they may say “I couldn’t put it down.” A nice saying, but when your tummy grumbles reminding you that you have not eaten for a long while because you really couldn’t put this book down, it takes enjoyment to the next level…

Frozen 2: Dangerous Secrets by Mari Mancusi is my favorite, new, epic love story.

It is an easy, enthralling read; one that left me feeling like there is no other way Iduna and Agnarr’s story could be told.

How does Mancusi weave such magic?

This story of Elsa and Anna’s parents was super cute and fit very well in the Frozen world. It was great to learn their story and see qualities from Elsa and Anna in them. If you are a fan of Frozen, there is a very good chance that you will enjoy this book.

I received a copy through Netgally and my opinion is that of my own. Thank you Netgally!

Wow. Just wow. What a great adventure this book was. I thought the author caught the voices of Agnarr and Iduna so well. The sweet, fluffy love that grew between the parents was joyful to read and I cheered them on throughout the entire book. From the day they remet to the birth of Elsa, I was glued to every word. The end even made shed a tear. It was beautiful story and really helped filled in some gaps. I d

How did Elsa and Anna's parents get together? We find out as we follow Iduna and Agnarr. I liked how the chapters switched from Iduna's to Agnarr's points of view. Olaf doesn't make an appearance, but there is plenty of events to keep you interested in the story. After all, this is the parent's story.

I'm not gonna lie. This is not really that good. It's fanservice at best, with a few boxes ticked off in the name of feminism and making the characters really modern and "ahead of their time". But also...I just don't really care? I love Frozen. It's embarrassing. I'm an adult. But it's so much fun. And thus, this was fun and I enjoyed it. So sue me. Also, I loved getting to know Iduna and Agnarr and reading about their love story. While the writing is basic at best with a narrative that just isn ...more

I give this book 4.5 stars for being gripping and fitting so well into the Frozen universe. Iduna and Agnarr always fascinated me and I desperately want to see them star in, at least, a short film, maybe even a few half-hour episodes (I don't even care if the animation is different). This book could truly be the basis for either of those things. The couple's relationship developed at a great pace and I was really rooting for these two, despite already knowing they'd be together and despite alrea ...more

I have mixed feelings about this book. On one hand, I liked it more than I thought I should - on the other, I think it should have ended right after Agduna's wedding. The part that came after only served to make Agnarr and Iduna pass for martyrs, when everything they did to their daughters was awful despite their 'good intentions'.

I think a premise to this review is necessary. I am not a Frozen fan, the second installment having stifled all my enthusiasm for the franchise. I only read this book

'Dangerous Secrets: The Story of Iduna and Agnarr' is a beautifully told story that fans of the movie are going to love. The book focuses on Elsa and Anna's parents - how they first met, how they grew up together, the secrets Iduna kept about her real past, and how they fell in love. I'm a big fan of the movies, so I figured this would be a great way to fill in a part of the story we never got to hear about, but I didn't expect that I'd love it as much as I did. DANGEROUS SECRETS: THE STORY OF IDUNA AND AGNARR is a great MG/YA fantasy romance. Based on Frozen, this book tells the story of Anna and Elsa's parents, how they met, became best friends, and later fell in love. This book has a lot of tie-ins with the movies, including quotes/refrains and some characters in common that are sure to delight Frozen fans.

Frozen 2 just may be my favorite Disney movie to date, and I was extremely excited for Dangerous Secrets - it's one of the few on NetGalley I immediately requested without even reading the description. I've found that the Disney novels - at least, those which serve as prequels or sequels to the movies, not the film novelizations - are either hit or miss. There's not a lot of wiggle room for me, so I was relieved to find that Mancusi was able to reach a hit here. Iduna and Agnarr's story is hinte ...more

I really enjoyed Frozen 2 and enjoyed how it developed on the story of the first movie, especially in terms of making the parents a bit more sympathetic. And Frozen 2: Dangerous Secrets: The Story of Iduna and Agnarr expands on that further, delivering on Iduna and Agnarr’s love story, as the title promises.

Judge my review by the fact that I am an avid Disney fan, and love Frozen 2 (The music was the best part of the first movie, and I felt 2 had a better storyline and much less plotholes.)

But I really liked this book. It's short and sweet, in the way most Disney's children's novels are, with uncomplicated plot lines. It's a nice read on it's own and very appropriate for any fan of any age, and is great to read aloud together.

As an entry in the Frozen universe, it definitely fills many plot gaps an

I really enjoyed this book. Iduna and Agnarr have always been something of a mystery when it comes to the world of Frozen. Why did they make the choices they made when it came to the raising of their daughters, Elsa and Anna? Why did they choose to make their fateful trip to help Elsa? This book answered those questions and more.

I have to say I really fell in love with Iduna during the course of this book. At the core this is really her story more than Agnarr's, although Agnarr is an important

“Frozen 2: Dangerous Secrets: The Story of Iduna and Agnarr” by Mari Mancusi does a great job of adding important context to both Frozen films, in particular the sequel. Using key moments, Mancusi expands on the story of Iduna and Agnarr, exploring their relationship over the course of several years, from pre-teen to their eventual death.

She does so with near perfect time jumps, delicate exposition, and striking the right balance of romance and intrigue. And in spite of the predictable nature o

This does not disappoint as Disney never does with the story of Iduna Agnarr and their love story. I received this book as an ARC from the author I won in a contest.

Books tied to movies are notoriously hard to get right, having to keep movie lore while working in new ideas and plot points. I have read several terrible ones, that just repeat movie points or throw in as many references as possible. I’m happy to say that this book was not one of those.

Iduna and Agnarr were mysterious characters to those who’ve seen the Frozen movies, so it was easy to mess up their characterization. For me per
