Another great series.
I really enjoy Lindsay's books and this is shaping up to be another great series. A lot of her books seem to be a little formulaic and you soon spot familiar themes, the disparate allies, the unlikely heroes and the chalk and cheese love interests thrown together and romances blossoming. That being said they are all very entertaining and I can't wait for the next one. Casmir makes a great hero and Rache ,you just know will end up more than a plot device for a spot of villainy. There are enough unanswered questions to hold your interest. If you haven't read the first two I'd take the time to go back and start from the beginning. I don't usually bother leaving reviews (sorry Lindsay) but I felt that this series deserved it. I want to see Qin and Asger get it together as well. A good read I had a job to put down. 10/10.

I'm enjoying this series. I like how Casmir uses his brains rather than his (nonexistent) brawn, and how he's a bit insecure about seeing how physically graceful his clone is. And I like the hints of romance that have shown up in book three (slow burns are the best). The characters have very different, often opposing, goals and motives, and there's a nice balance of empathy for even the ones making bad decisions and appreciating the disagreements the people have.

I hate titling reviews
I don't want to write a review, I want to read more of this series! But it (currently as of June 2019) isn't out yet!
For some reason I thought this was only going to be a trilogy and I was quite upset that although many of the main story lines tie up in this book, some of the minor lines that I was rooting for do not. But I saw book four will be out soon, and for that, I can forgive Lindsay. I suppose she probably had a word count/limit...
I love Casmir and Rache and wish they could just be honest with each other. Hopefully that happens soon and then they become the team I want to see in action! For at least six more books! And maybe a few spin offs! (Ok. I might be getting carried away.)
When Lindsay compared this series to Big Bang theory I nearly didn't read the first book. She doesn't give herself enough credit. Her characters are way cooler and better people than any of the Big Bang Theory peeps. That's really what makes me love all of her books. The hero is always someone you want to root for. And if they make mistakes, it's not some dumb continual failing they refuse to grow from.
I can't wait for the next book!

A fun series with imperfect heroes (and heroines) you can root for! I love all the characters, the dialogue is snappy and humor filled, and the plot is interesting. I’m awaiting the next book with eagerness.

I really like this sci-if series. This is my second time reading it.
Is it dense writing with complex emotions and impressive world building? No, but that’s what’s great about it. The characters are memorable and delightful. The plot moves quickly and the dialogue is full of dry humor. Best of all, Casmir is an unlikely hero, using his wits to prevail in spite of his poor vision, seizures, allergies, and motion sickness. And I love how his kindness to robots and people benefits him in unexpected ways.

Entertaining space listening 🎶🔰
Another will written space opera Sci-Fi adventure thriller novel by Lindsay Buroker (Star 🌟 Kingdom book 3). An excellent novel with interesting characters that keep changing and growing. They are struggling to complete the quest but are successful in the end. I would recommend this novel to readers of space opera adventure novels 👍🔰. Not the ending i expected.
Well I am sucked into the next book (4). The never ending adventures of Casmire , Kim, Qin, Bonita, Rache and the rest of the Kingdom players.
Book 3 played well and left you searching for more answers. Let’s hope 4 ties up a few mysteries.

A breath of fresh air
I’d just come off of a grueling reading of a space opera that was JUST good enough to keep me reading but was, in my opinion, fairly poorly written. The perils of self publication. Anyway my brain was just about fried and this series was like a spring cleaning for my brain. I can always count on Lindsay’s unique form of humor to bring the world back into focus. I don’t want this to be a 12 part mega- opera, but if it is I’m sure I’ll enjoy every page of it. Great job, Ms. Buroker!

Thoroughly enjoyable!
This is the sort of book you wish would never come to an end. There is so much going on with such interesting characters, and now we have to wait for the next book in the series to find out what happens.

The saga continues!
Casmir is still trying to save the universe and find out who his donor parents are. He has hidden the new gate and goes back home to try and persuade the king to forgive all his activities. There is a new terrorist group trying to get Casmir, so there is a lot of action. I love Qin and her personality shines. Rache is apparently attracted to Kim. Casmir has misplaced the new gate and the King wants it back. Looking forward to the next book.

Star Kingdom - Another success
I love getting lost in the worlds of Buroker. She never fails to bring me into the places and situations she creates and her characters are just as fully engaging. I love the banter and wit that has me smiling, chuckling and laughing outright. The characters she crafts are nuanced and interesting. Even the bad guys.
Whether on land, sea, or space, Ms. Buroker's writing is addictive and I crave more.

Never a disappointment
I enjoy L.Buroker’s books. Each of the cast of characters have a unique personality, containing strengths and weaknesses. Each book contains a mystery to be solved and there for me lies the enjoyment of reading each segment. I appreciate that all the books in the series are free through Kindle Unlimited, unlike other authors who have only the first and then charge a separate price for the rest.

Space opera at its best
The third in the series just keeps getting better. It neatly wraps up the story arc of just who Casimir is while spinning out the search for the deadly gate and the sub plot involving slavery into what I assume will be books 4-6. I have only one complaint. I have to wait until July for book 4

Excellent story!!!
This is another great series with funny and intriguing characters. Ms. Buroker finds ways to enlighten and to entertain with rally good banter and lively battle! I can't wait for the next installment.

Great series.
I lifetimes series. It is definitely a space opera, much like the other's. But all the people are interesting and I like the main caricatures a lot.

Another hit Buroker series
I have always enjoyed reading Lindsay Buroker’s various series, and the Star Kingdom series is no exception. Casmir and his collection of friends and frenimies are a delight to become acquainted with. I look forward to the next episode!

Love this series
To be read in order, this is book 3 of the ‘Star Kingdom’ series. What is especially wonderful about Lindsay Buroker’s books-besides the action and snark-are the characters’ personalities. They’re always fun, quirky and strong characters. I love their adventures and am ready for the next one!

More excitement
They finally get back home to Odin, and have to deal with dungeons, debriefings and parents.
There are fights with the terrorists who've been trying to kill Casmir. He finally finds out the answers to some secrets.
This book is not hardly the end though. There's more adventure to come later!

Series just keeps getting better
Great sequel - this series just keeps getting better and better. I really like all the characters, and there are some great laugh out loud moments.

I am thoroughly enjoying this series so far, and book 3 is not an exception. I like that while being complex in the amount of plot layers, it isn’t overly so. It’s fairly easy to keep up with what is going on while still opening so many questions. Both the pace and character development is perfect. I can’t wait to read book 4!

I have not a character i did not like. The background humour makes them “human”. Have to wait for book four, is that the last one?

In this book, Casmir finally returns to Odin alongside his friends: Kim, Qin, Bonita and to some extent, Asger.and is arrested before he can meet the queen.In his Interrogation, he reveals the stealth ship location but when the kingdom checks that location they find the ship missing. King Jegar gives Casmier a chance to prove himself by finding out the terrorists who are trying to kill Casmier.
He with some help from Kim(who is forced to work for the department of intelligence) enlist Rache to help him(with an amusing dinner
in Kim's mother's apartment and some funny gifts).
Rache supposedly will sell Casmir to the terrorists but they are attacked by them who suspect Rache has the same Genes as Casmir.
they infiltrate and defeat the terrorists and Qin rescues Casmir's parents who were kidnapped.Casmir indirectly kills the boss of the terrorists and finds some facts about Rache's past: His real name is David and Jager is the cause that his fiancee has died.
in the end, Casmir with the help of Princess Oku finds out that he was made from DNA of General Mikita who 300 years ago United the 12 system under the Kingdom banner.
it seems Rache is interested in Kim(who could have thought) and Casmir is smitten by Princess Oku, and there seems to be something between Asger and Qin.

Well. Casmir certainly found himself in a pickle here, didn't he? The easy-going, low-key brilliant guy who's suddenly being targeted by terrorists (for reasons as yet unknown to him) and mirror-image space pirates and probably a vast array of other things he just hasn't stumbled over yet, is back on Odin and things aren't looking good.
Not from the dungeon where he's currently a guest, at least.
He's worried about his friends. He's worried about whether his king is as on the up and up as his loyal subjects have been led to believe. He's worried about his family. And he's worried that all the secrets he's trying to figure out how to deal with are going to come spilling out the moment the torture begins.
We get answers, though. A few answers, at least. As usual, those answers tend to spawn more questions and Casmir is flying blind in more ways than one.
I'm digging hard on this series and the utter crazy Casmir keeps wriggling his way out of. Also that he gave a notorious pirate underwear. BUT THAT'S ANOTHER STORY FOR ANOTHER DAY, I THINK! Heh. Casmir has the ability to confound Rache with nothing more than his awkward kindness and that's pretty impressive when you think about it.

So definitely a SOAP OPERA but this one leaves in a better place.
So I don’t usually do serials but decided to see if this was a trilogy that went on. Well not quite though it does stop at a pretty good point it still leaves so much unanswered. So some will consider these spoilers and I’ll use tags but really it is just a list of what is answered (not the answers here) and what isn’t)
There is probably more but I cannot think of them at the moment. Still there is a lot more left up in the air than answered. These serials don’t usually entice me to read more than a book as you can tell this one got me to 3. I hoped that there would be a wrap up every few books as some do and they did wrap a big point up but... I’m probably not going to read on as this is good enough for me. There are some great characters and interesting happenings, but I like more of a satisfactory ending. This one had that but with still too much in the air. I don’t know if I’ll come back, depends on whether the characters call to me. Since any interpersonal relationship is taking too long, probably not.

My favourite nerd!
Casmir, my favourite nerd, is back and once again in trouble! Somehow he bumbles his way through every crisis mainly because of his brilliant mind - it’s certainly not because of his physical prowess! Poor Casmir was born on the planet Odin where gene manipulation is illegal which left him with many birth deficiencies among which are allergies and seizures. He and Kim, his roommate, are home at last after traipsing about the system on the run from renegades, pirates and his own military! Unfortunately he hasn’t left his problems behind him and immediately finds himself under attack from the renegades and then thrown into prison by the king! Kim is only slightly better off. She is seconded to a government laboratory and has guards with her wherever she goes. Laser and Qin are still on Odin but Laser discovers that Casmir really has given her a valuable patent. Casmir meets the king while in prison and sees his return to his life as a University professor receding into the distance!
Lindsay Buroker has a brilliant imagination and the ability to express it, much to our delight. If you are wondering if this series is worth reading I can assure you that it is. Suitable for all ages.

Casmir is immediately arrested for hiding the gate parts, and meets princess Oku on his way to the dungeon. He becomes infatuated. Someone found the ship and gate and has made off with it. King Jager gives Casmir two "opportunities" to redeem himself - he must find the base of a group of terrorists operating on the planet (they're the ones who sent crushers after him originally) and by the end of the novel, Casmir has done this and is ready to go search for the missing gate.
Kim leaves the ship and is conscripted into working for the government on refining the process to protect those who come into contact with the gate. She has to say in her mother's apartment to avoid the terrorists hunting Casmir, but isn't hidden from a certain notorious pirate who visits her on more than one occasion.
Rache does visit Kim and also gives Casmir more than a little help in conquering the terrorists, Asgar and Qin are involved in this too, Bonnie gets a new knee and the plot moves forward.
