In one devasting moment, Shay’s life changes. Catching her husband cheating on her while she’s on duty as an EMT propels her to start over. She loves helping people and when an opportunity arises, she jumps at the chance to work at Rock House Grill, owned by hotshot tv chef Aden House and his sister. She works hard and gains the respect of Aden. When the head chef has to leave, Shay steps in as the restaurant’s chef for the night. He’s a good teacher, though, and she gets hands-on training as a ...more

What I love most about this book is how real it feels. The scenes in the restaurant, whether they’re in the kitchen or at the front of house, feel authentic. The EMT/ambulance scenes feel like the author has lived them. And most especially the characters’ emotions feel real. I could feel Aden’s frustration and gratitude at surviving his accident, but being unable to do the things he did before. Shay’s nervousness at starting a new job at the restaurant was very real, and so was her coolness unde ...more

This book is a delightful, savory, hopeful, fun, romantic, and warmhearted read!!

This book starts off in one of those totally embarrassing, please say that did not just happen moments where I totally couldn’t help but feel for Shay! EMT’s Shay and Joanna get a call and show up at a domestic disturbance scene. Shockingly this is where Shay finds out her husband Nick is there in a romantic setting with his mistress, Brenda! So embarrassing! Not only to find out your husband is cheat

3,5 - Romance readers, you will like Rock House Grill! That is if you aren't looking for steamy scenes and rush "hit first, ask later" moments!

You, who are more like me, not a contemporary romance reader, could have a nice surprise and enjoy Mrs. D.V. Stone's book as well.

Why? First of all, I get the feeling that she knows what she talks about. The EMT / hospital scenes, not large but with high impact flow... naturally. Reading the author's description confirmed my suspicions. The efficiency tha

I requested this book hoping for a book boyfriend that I could enjoy during my camping trip. I wasn’t disappointed. Best camping trip ever thanks to Aden, the hero.

Aden spread himself too thin and paid a horrible price and suffered the consequences. I know all too well what it’s like to be stretched too thin. It was a nice reminder to relax during my camping trip. Aden was the perfect example of what to do when you get knocked down. You pick yourself up and move forward.

The heroine, Shea, was an

D.V. Stone’s swift pace and masterful characterizations make Rock House Grill ROCK.

Love how Shay meets Aden, not once, but twice, and how well the juxtapositions play off each other to make the encounters memorable. Add drama from exes, and you have a searing plot.

A whodunit until the very end, with not one, but several romances building to a crescendo, I thoroughly enjoyed this fast-paced page-turner. I emphatically recommend it—no holds barred!

When Shay, an EMT, is called to a “domestic disturbance”, the last thing she expects to find is her husband and another woman. Her friends try to shield her, but she’s seen—and heard—too much. Months later, after the divorce, she’s working at a restaurant and the “other woman” manipulates things to get her fired. Down on her luck and her life, she takes one more chance…and finds hope and happiness at a new restaurant. This is a sweet, uplifting story about life, love, loss, and more. The charact ...more

I really enjoyed this romantic suspense. The author portrayed a vivid description of the glamorous world of the high-end restaurant business. The characters were believable, and I rooted for Shay, the heroine, to overcome the many obstacles in her quest to find true love with Aden, the physically and emotionally damaged hero. With someone out to harm Shay and her new friends, the tension ramped up, and I couldn’t put the book down. The story kept me reading long into the night. If you’re looking ...more

An exciting story. There was plenty of action, suspense, danger, love, family and friends. I loved both Aden and Shay. Each had their baggage but were honest with each other as misunderstandings arose. Their journey to love and commitment was not easy, but they were determined to make it. Their lives had changed and improved because of their love. I recommend this story.

I received an ARC of this story through Goddess Fish Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.

I'm always curious to see how someone's first book is. This one is wonderful! I immediately felt in sync with the characters, and the pacing was excellent. There were enough twists and turns to keep me rapidly turning the pages. I loved the tender romance in the book. Well done D.V. Stone!

Savor a satisfying slice of life
If you love a multi-layered story that pulls you into its world like I do, choose The Rock House Grill. The Rock House Grill (its name derives from the fabulous menu of rock songs played there) is the center of the Shay and Aden’s story.
Aden House is a talented chef who has loses direction when he becomes the hot shot chef of a TV cooking show. As a devotee of those shows and their fast paced competitions, it’s easy to see how Aden could be sucked into that world

I really enjoyed Rock House Grill. Honestly it was not what I expected.
I kind of expected your typical Romance/Suspense. The same 'ole Hero running around trying to keep the girl safe while falling in love with her along the way.
And that is what you get and alot more.
What I didn't expect was no bedroom scenes.
What I didn't expect was no language.
And well it was a darn good book anyway.
Which is what I Like.
The author spins a story that keeps you interested and turning the pages.
For me it was a
