A native New Englander, Gene Twaronite now lives in Tucson, Arizona. His published books include five poetry collections, including Trash Picker on Mars, a winner of the 2017 New Mexico-Arizona Book Award. He is also the author of juvenile fiction, a rhyming picture book, and four collections of short stories and humor essays. A former Writer-in-Residence for Pima County Public Libraries, he leads a poetry workshop for the Universty of Arizona OLLI program.
