A Canadian author not to be ignored. An excellent writer, Pruden takes the reader on a visceral, palpable and often poignant journey about road musicians and their relentless urges to be creative and heard. The path is rough and jagged, and relationships intense. I particularly enjoyed the descriptions of roads and communities across Canada with which I am familiar.
