I’ve had this book since childhood, and hadn’t really looked at it since. But it’s a lovely work, with great art by Chris Higham, broken into chapters for the in-between reader who enjoys longer works but still wants illustrations.

The chapters are mainly introductions to the more famous characters, Robin and Marion’s wedding, the story of Richard of Lea and the rescue of Stout Will and his brothers. A good mix of action and adventure and a nice introduction to the legends.
