AIRBORNE by Diann Mills is a Christian romantic suspense/mystery written before the current pandemic, this book is another type of viral nightmare that kept me turning the pages.

Houston FBI agent Heather Lawrence is on a flight alone to a vacation previously planned for herself and her husband to attend the famous Salzburg Music Festival in Germany. Not even over the Atlantic yet, several passengers begin exhibiting horrific viral

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I decided to read Airborne by DiAnn Mills because the premise intrigued given all that is taking place in our world. You may be wondering why would one want to read a book such as this during this time. Well, I am a sucker for these types of stories and I just could not resist. Ironically, this book was written prior to the start of COVID-19. However, the events

Airborne is the perfect story for this time and this place. It’s not about COVID-19, but it is about a deadly virus. More amazing, however, is the fact that DiAnn Mills wrote the story several years ago. Who could have predicted that Airborne would be released in the middle of a global pandemic?

The story follows FBI agent Heather Lawrence. En route to a needed vacation in Germany, Heather’s flight is sabotaged by a deadly virus outbreak. People are dying, but not everyone. Heather seems immune t

You will feel like you're watching a movie, or reading the daily paper as you begin this heart in you throat book, and you will be guessing whom could it be right to the end!
How could anyone be so evil? We know they exist, but so little regard for human life, but keep reading you will get a little look into what makes a sociopath, but there is a hope and we are all given a chance to believe.
I have read many books by this author and this one does not disappoint, it felt way to real, especially wi

I've read other books by DiAnn Mills and enjoyed them, so I was anticipating a good read with Airborne...it completely surpassed my expectations!

Maybe it is because of the current times (quarantine/virus), but this story seriously hit home and I could empathize with the characters and what they were going through.

I LOVED the characters. I wasn't sure at first where the story with Heather was going, but as I continued reading I couldn't help wishing for a second chance story. I think everything

Looking for a book that will keep you up at night because you don't want to put the book down?  Airborne is that sort of book and I found myself reading it at work over lunch or on breaks and was sad when the story ended.

In today's crazy world (all of 2020), this book hits a note with everything we have dealt with regarding COVID-19. While this book was written long before this virus, the similarities are uncanny. Perhaps DiAnn is a bit psychic.

The crux of this story is a deadly virus released

Talk about a timely read! As soon as I heard about this new title from DiAnn Mills, I knew I would have to read it ASAP. The thought of a quick-acting virus being released on an international flight is terrifying. Heather is an FBI agent who finds herself extending aid to one passenger after another as the virus takes hold. Then there is the necessary quarantine once the plane is brought down in NYC. Could the person who unleashed the virus be hiding in plain sight? In this time of COVID-19, it ...more

Definitely a timely topic...virus impacting multiple people on an airplane. The villain and the underlying motivations were well constructed. There isn’t a great deal of action in the novel and it has a heavy emphasis on the broken relationship between FBI Agent Heather and her husband Chad.

With its fast-paced action, impeccably researched scientific facts, and super timely plotline, Airborne is totally unputdownable. I suggest for potential readers to schedule a few hours of uninterrupted reading time because they’ll surely be as absorbed in the story and characters as I was.

Content advisory: several on-page deaths, physical violence, description of abuse.

Airborne by DiAnn Mills took my breath away.

I saw a copy of the cover several months ago, and thought then it sounded like a compelling premise. Then the Covid-19 pandemic took hold and my interest skyrocketed. Having read several DiAnn Mills novels, I knew I was in for a journey, but my goodness, I had no idea.

The book was scheduled for release in September, but as interest grew in the subject – a virus released on a transatlantic flight – the publisher, Tyndale House decided to rush the book t

Wow this was super interesting, but let's be honest: It hit a little too close to home for 2020. 😂 Regardless, it was still a fascinating read and I loved both main characters! Usually stories with marital struggles\divorce are hard for me to read because I feel like both characters are being so irrational, but this one was really well done and felt very realistic! Really interesting read, but maybe pass on it if you're still dealing with some trauma from this year lol! ...more

She thanked him. “My commitment to the FBI drives me to reach out to those who are hurting.”

My review title for Airborne is taken from DiAnn Mills tagline, “Expect an Adventure!”

She was quite bold to indicate to me as a reviewer that this may indeed take me on an adventure. DiAnn did not disappoint and in fact, gave me more than I could have even imagined from the pages of Airborne.

Here is the gist of the story of this unputtable down book. An FBI agent whose marriage is failing, boards a plane

Quit on page 152. I wanted a thriller. I got a (romance?) story about a separated couple and discussions about God and faith on just about every second page. I just can't take it any more. If you are looking for a christian novel this may be a book for you. But this is not my cup of tea.
Example? “One hundred twenty-five ill and twenty dead.” The madness swung back and forth like a pendulum. “I need to be doing something, but what?”“Pray for guidance, God’s grace, and mercy. And a quick determin

Airborne by DiAnn Mills is the author’s latest brilliant work of suspense. A new deadly virus mass distributed through an airplane— could anything be more frightening these days? I have long been a fan of this author and her ability to create unique suspense novels that never feel contrived or formulaic. I know novels are written long before publication. What amazing insight Mills had into a possible deadly virus being discovered and used. The nightmare she has created in her novel is one we know now as very much a real possibility.

While the topic of the novel is a deadly virus having been released in an airplane, there is little suspense until the very end. Much of the plot centers on how the FBI works to uncover the person responsible. An FBI agent, Heather, was on the plane and the FBI is ove

Superb! DiAnn Mills did an exemplary job describing the details of a pandemic situation in this novel. The premise of this book grabbed my attention right away, with a virus released on an international flight. As FBI agent Heather Lawrence fights to survive exposure, her estranged husband, a noted virologist, battles to clear his name.

The characters and settings felt quite real and vivid to me, and the cast of secondary characters is woven in flawlessly. Meticulous research is evidence but this doesn't present as a science lecture.

DiAnn Mills has become a favorite author, so I was happy to have an offer to review her newest book, one that was on my to-read list when it comes out.

Reading Airborne at this time was especially interesting since it deals with a virus, and we have been dealing with the Covid virus for several months now.

Airborne was a lot different than Mill's other books. A lot of the story took place on a plane, and the main character was quarantined for most of the book. Mills did an awesome job of describ

I’m sure when DiAnn Mills was writing Airborne she had no idea that it would be released in the midst of a global pandemic, where a deadly virus was spreading throughout the world. It certainly made for some timely reading. Fortunately for the characters, they had a chance to stop the spread of their deadly virus and limit the contagion to just an airplane. Unfortunately, for the characters, their virus results in horrific symptoms and death. Airborne is a tense and thrilling read, with lots of ...more

Buckle up and enjoy the ride!

My two favorite things about Airborne was DiAnn proving that you can have a clean read that is also highly entertaining as well as how weirdly educational this was about a truly relevant subject matter in these confusing times. I am so used to having to turn to Amish romances to find a clean romance, so I was thrilled to find this book (and bonus it’s a thrilling read as well). Airborne proved that you do not have to be filled with obscenities to deliver the same pu
