This was a good read. Aiden is a mess and his life is falling apart. Ever since his wife died he has done nothing but drink and try to survive. Once he runs into his childhood friend Lexi he begins to see that he has something to live for. Of course by the end they are in love and get a happy ending.

Last and Forever picks up where First and Always left us, with Aiden, now a single father but a shell of the man he used to be. My heart ached for Aiden and the struggles he faced, trying to raise his daughter whilst dealing with the grief of losing his wife and his passion for music.

Aiden and Lexi were childhood friends but didn’t stay in contact. Lexi always had a crush on Aiden but unfortunately, he only saw her as a friend. Their friendship was beautiful to read about, the deep an

This book left me speechless -- which trust me isn't an easy thing to do. I knew this was going to be an emotional read, but good Lord I was absolutely GUTTED. I felt Aiden's pain like it was my own, and I couldn't wait to see where this brilliant author would take us on his incredible journey.

After losing his wife, Aiden is now a single father with absolutely no passion for life. He refuses to play music, and everything around him only reminds him of the life he used to have with his late wife,

Sometimes life takes a turn that leaves you completely devestated and there's no clear path anymore.
Adien wasn't prepared to face the terrible loss of his wife and being left to raise their daughter alone.
The only thing he could do was to sale everything and move back home.
He even went to work for his father so now his days were filled with numbers.

Aiden had tragedy hit his life in a HUGE way, and he decides he's going back home to raise his tiny human daughter, leaving his band behind since he couldn't even think about picking his guitar back up ever again. When his dog gets sick, he takes Zeus to the vet, who happens to be a girl who was an old friend by the name of Lexi. They pick up their friendship again, which is the best thing for Aiden at this stage of his life, all the while Lexi worries about getting her heart broken since she's ...more

Aiden story is an emotional rollercoaster that you will want to ride despite all the sadness. I loved how it took you from lows, worry about the family dog to a road that Aiden and Lexi were not expecting but us as readers got to enjoy the fact that they get a chance to see how they could be more than friends, if Aiden can allow his heart to open up again for the sake of him and his daughter.

It's about life, love and taking a leap. A realistic, emotion driven read. I received an ARC for an hone

Wow what an amazing emotional story it broke my heart and put it back together at the end. This is the story of Aiden who tragically lost his wife so he gave up his band to go and look after his daughter. Aiden’s dog Zeus gets sick he takes him to the vet where he meets up with his old friend Lexi who is the veterinarian, as they spend time together things turn from friendship to more but can Aiden fully open his heart to love?. Wow a powerful emotional story that took my breath away this is a 5 ...more

This is beautiful story focused on love and a second chance.

It is the type of story that clutches you at once and does not release you until you get to the end - then you find yourself pining over the fact that the book has ended.

I loved how the relationship unfolded so we could see these amazing characters grow in ways they never expected.

I received a copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.

I really enjoyed Aiden and Lexi's story. It's an emotional story that is heartfelt and tender. It's nicely developed and very well written. I love the characters. Tragedy struck Aiden. Now he is a single father struggling with life. He gives up his career, sells everything and moves back home. When Zeus gets sick he takes him to the vet and finds his old friend Lexi. A friendship is renewed that takes them on a journey to so much more. ...more

This is the 1st book I've read written by Rebecca Brooke; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the characters.

Last and Forever is the conclusion to First and Always Duet. I couldn't wait to delve back in and see what was going to happen next with Aiden and his little girl. It was a good story, full of emotion, and finding love a second time. The characters Lexie and Aidan are likeable, and so good together. This duet will pull your heartstrings. ...more

Loved this wonderful story about friends to lovers with Aiden and Lexie who went to school together then drifted apart. Years later he moves about as a widowed single dad where he runs into Lexie as she is the local vet where he takes his sick dog. Can Aiden move from his grief into a relationship with Lexie one that she has always wanted?

The characters are well developed and engaging and the chemistry is there will Aiden allow Lexi to help heal him from his tragic past and help him begin to heal. I loved how well the storyline was written and flowed. I am looking forward to reading the next book so I can have answers to my questions.

The story picks up right where the first book ended, Aiden now being a single parent. I recommend to read both stories, because this book is incredible. You will ugly cry while reading this.

What an amazing book, this book was filled with all the feels, I could not put it down.

This is the second part of Aiden's story, and part is a must read before this one (and well worth the read), in this book we see Aiden rebuilding his life after the devastating cliff hanger ending of book one, and the reconnection with one of his best friends growing up, Lexi.

The journey that Aiden goes on through this book will pull at your heart strings and make you keep reading till the very end of the book
