This book is a compilation of linked stories. In it we see the very human side of Hemomancers (those born with the ability to control blood). It shows fear, jealousy, revenge, as well as stigmatisation and the effects of being ostracised from society, from mere bullying to being hunted down and killed. These are people who are both feared and reviled, sometimes correctly, other times

First off hemomancer means that you have the power to control the blood within yourself as well as others. I had to look this up as I wasn't sure what it was. This was a very interesting story with a great topic. I would love to find a full length story about this! These small ten stories were freaking amazing!! These stories are best read one right after the other as it builds on each one as well as gives you a new view for this kind of magic. The pacing was wonderful and the characters were ...more

This book was excellent. Lander's previous books (Warren Brood series) were good, but this one was REALLY GOOD. I found myself looking forward to reading more about the characters and stories, wanting to know more about how things work in the hemomantic world. The writing and dialogues flowed smoother too. There was also some very nice imagery in the descriptions, which I enjoyed. What an interesting world and very intriguing stories!

All Bleeds Through: Ten Stories of Hemomancy and the World it Shaped by Bartholomew Lander is in a class of its own. To begin with, I didnt even know what a hemomancy was supposed to be, but as the stories unfolded, it drew me into each story. The book is amazing. Each story eventually ties together as twelve bloodlines fight for their freedom from humans and each other. The hemomancers can control their blood, to the point they can kill with it.

Im on a roll with wirardry type books right now, and this one fit the bill. This was a different type of magic: Hemomancy. Hemomancy is the school of magic for manipulating the blood of oneself and others. A wizard who practices Hemomancy is known as a Hemomancer. A set of ten stories, they are not separate. If you read them one after another, you will gain an inkling of just how powerful the two dominant bloodlines are in this alternate universe. At odds with each other and in a seemingly ...more

Blood Battle

All Bleeds Through - Ten Stories of Hemomancy and the World by Bartholomew Lander is a compelling compilation of separate stories that develop the idea of individuals who are hemomancers.

In taking to the internet one will discover the meaning of a hemomancer. Specifically hemo means blood and mancer is defined as a person who has the ability to perform magic.

Consequently, a hemomancer is an individual who can modify the blood that courses through their body. Often a hemomancer
