I like an amnesia storyline, and love Christmas themed stories, so I dove into this with anticipation. And then was immediately a little disconcerted to realize the hero is a magician. I do not like magicians. But it was just a little hiccup and then I didn't care anymore, and I very much enjoyed this silly little romance.

Cole Rayburn's stage name is Joe Ray Stardust and he's a famous magician. Holly Hawkes is a divorced mother of 2, just barely making it. Her ex was one of Joe Ray's "roadies". Her in-laws are trying to take her kids and it's Christmas. When she accidentally hits Joe Ray on the head and he falls in an icy parking lot and gets amnesia, she takes him home. He's what everyone wants and she's what he wants, but he doesn't remember and thinks she's married to him. Funny complications. Nice story.

The whole plot and characters were unbelievable and too contrived to be relatable. The genre of this book should not be romance fiction, it should be filed under fantasy role-play.

Cute story, a little far fetched maybe but cute anyway. It might not stick with you like Gone with the Wind but it was a nice light romance. For those of you that like holiday themes this story revolves around Christmas.
