Bestselling author Lisa Suzanne's romantic comedy features rock stars, an older brother's best friend, and a road trip that will change their lives.
If opposites attract, my brother’s best friend and I should be perfect for each other.
I'm a balanced, ambitious ER nurse, while he's the immature guy in a successful band who's along for the ride. It was just supposed to be a fling, but it was becoming more... until his brush with the law shows me that we can’t be together.
And now we have to act like a couple on the cross-country road trip we’re contractually obligated to take.
He blasts music I can't stand, stops at strange roadside attractions, and chooses my least favorite restaurants. Despite all that, I still see the sides of him I was falling for.
Can we find our way back to each other, or will he just keep driving me crazy?
Lisa Suzanne is an Amazon Top Ten Bestselling author of swoon-worthy superstar heroes, emotional roller coasters, and all the angst. She resides in Arizona with her husband and two kids. When she's not chasing her kids, she can be found working on her latest romance book or watching reruns of Friends.
If you know me, then you know that I LOVE ROCK STAR BOOKS! And for me personally, no one does hot rock stars with hearts of gold quite like Lisa Suzanne does. Her writing always grabs me and makes me want to ignore my responsibilities and pretend that I too am in love with a rock star. Driving Me Crazy was super fun, steamy, hilarious and 100% enjoyable!
Together Racal and Amber were steamy and sexy. They had an undeniable chemistry that was HOT. I loved the sex and the connection they shared. It was OH SO GOOD! They are two very strong minded individuals though and Amber is sure that a relationship with him is definitely not in the cards for her. He is her complete opposite and after his brush with the law, everything that she needs to stay away from. But Rascal falls for her pretty hard and after she breaks his heart, he is determined to make her life hell. But despite everything that he puts her through, she still sees the guy that she was falling for and soon realizes that she made a mistake. But will Rascal take her back after her change of heart?
Overall, I would definitely recommend this book. I enjoyed it immensely from start to finish. I loved the alternating point of views. There's nothing better than getting into both the characters heads and getting a good feel for them. I loved the little surprises along the way that kept me guessing what would happen next. I absolutely loved everything about this book! I am always in awe of Lisa's talent and how her stories always bring me such pleasure. If you're looking for something fun, sexy and just plain delicious, this book is a GREAT CHOICE! 5 stars for Rascal, Amber and Driving Me Crazy!
Another winning rock star romance from this Lisa Suzanne who definitely knows how to write them! Every book she gives us is always so entertaining and Driving Me Crazy was no exception. This was such a fun romantic comedy which had all the great elements that I have come to love from Lisa. There was passion, some drama and angst and hilarious witty banter.
Rascal and Amber are the epitome of opposites attract yet somehow fit perfectly together. From the beginning, I was completely invested in their relationship and the twist and turns that came their way. Watching them overcome these bumps in the road was a delight.
Not only are Rascal and Amber fantastic characters but there is a amazing cast of side characters as well. This story takes you on a fun journey filled with hot chemistry, humorous banter and all the feels.
Lisa Suzanne can do no wrong with her rockstars. Every book she gives us is always so entertaining, I immediately get lost in the story and completely invested in her characters and these two were fantastic!
Rascal and Amber were total opposites that somehow fit like two puzzle pieces. Amber saw it, fought it and then spent some time trying to get it back. Their roadtrip was rocky and after so many downs and fights that were so darn entertaining and just plain fun, they made a game plan. No matter how they felt towards each other, they had signed a contract and had to act like a couple for the cameras.
Their story hit me right in the feels, it was a touch angsty at first, super cute and sexy and I just loved watching these two having fun, hating each other and then admiting they were in love after some contemplation and paying attention to each other.
If you love rockstar romances or roadtrip books, this book is for you! It combines both things in an awesome and enjoyable way. It's a different kind of rockstar romance than your typical one and so so good!
Once again, Lisa has me anxious for the next book with that bonus epilogue! Darn, that was emotional and I'm legit so curious about what will happen with those two, it kind of feels like they could totally work or totally not. I'm hoping they do though.

As the keyboardist for MFB, Will was last seen hooking up with his bandmate, Adam’s, sister. Will was the most immature of the band but Amber was hoping there was more behind the guy she was falling for…that is until his immaturity took over and he got arrested. To exacerbate this situation Will and Amber had just signed a contract to do this road trip with the reality show their band had. Since the contract couldn’t be broken they were heading across country in a vehicle that wasn’t big enough for these two.
I loved the humor in this book along with the steam that seemed to always be there with them even when they weren’t getting along. They were both hurt but that underlying feeling of a future burned underneath. Thanks to Ms. Suzanne for taking me on a ride with Will and Amber I won’t soon forget.
Rockstar Rascal and ER nurse Amber are total opposites and they embark on an epic road trip together. This is a beautifully written story which is fun, entertaining and humorous, and I was totally enthralled throughout this addictive page turner. I cannot wait to read more from this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all readers.
OMG!!!! I haven't laughed like this in a long while. I'd recommend highly to watch eating and drinking while enjoying this road trip. You won't expect the moments but for a person who doesn't laugh often, dry humor works so well.
It's also more than laughs. An ER nurse feeling like she needs more but loves her job and a rock star that's on the brink of a burnout, they decide to hit the road and see if there is more to them than the se*. We get to get a back seat advantage to all that each do to each other, see the real that each tries to hide and just enjoy the scenery in and out of our characters.
Lisa has taken humor, heart and believable characters gave them to us to just love even if you want to tell them a thing or two. So worthy of the 5 stars and for your eyes to devour. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.
This is the first book that Ive read by this author and omg it was hilarious. If you are looking for a book that will cheer you up then this is that book. I must say I really enjoyed reading this book and seeing how this played out. I really like this author writing style and this title and cover is awesome.
Amber is an ER nurse, she has a very balanced life and knows exactly where she wants to go but she also feels like something is missing and also with her relationship she thinks its going kind of stale especially after she cant see a future with him she wants to call it a day,
Will is the cute, hot star who is also quite childish himself, but he is really running on empty himself feeling like he's nearly on burnout and in desperate need of a break.
Amber and Will go on road trip and try and have to pretend to still be together because of the contract that they had previously signed they have to honour there obligations.
Will (Rascal) was looking forward to taking a road trip but his plans changed when he had a breakup and he thought that was it then. Only is it really?
They both wanted different things in life and they both thought that they were both going in separate directions only a twist of a fate made them both have to spend time together and put on there pretend gloves. They both have to pretend, pretend pretend that they are still in a relationship especially because they will be getting filmed for the reality show. But he is getting more and more on gets nerves with his music and restaurants that she cant stand, is he doing this on purpose? At first she isn't sure. However she is starting to realise why she actually fell for him in the first place? ( NO SPOILERS ).
I really enjoyed reading this book and I was hooked right from the beginning. I think its always fantastic when an author can make you feel while reading their books and that id absolutely what this author does.
These two characters are so good that you cant help but love them, you cant take your eyes of them and you are desperate to see where the end up especially with the feelings between each other and how there journey plays out. You will laugh out loud at everything that these two go through on there road trip and some parts will also have your heart aching inside out.
He tried to be what she needed and that was beautiful to see and he turned out to be a really good guy who I really liked. They both have an obscene amount of chemistry and there are parts that are very steamy, steam, steam and will he really drive her crazy, totally ?
This author knows how to bring love and humour to this story and you cant help but laugh. This author has really brought these characters to life and you literally go along with them both for the ride. They seem like actual real people and when an author writes characters so good like this its absolute fantastic.
This book knows how to make you feel and also to make you feel good.
I will defiantly recommend this book to everyone when it gets released and I will look out for this author works in the future.
ARC provided in exchange for an honest review,
Thank you to the author and publishers for allowing me to read and early copy of this book.
This book is expected to be released 27th March 2020.
I received an ARC for this book for an honest review.
I love Lisa Suzanne! Her work always makes me swoon, laugh, cry and feel all the amazing emotions that I can't help but feel while I am reading. Driving Me Crazy is part of the MFB world and I absolutely adored everything about it.
Will, aka Rascal, is my favorite MFB member and I was so happy to know that his story was coming. I've been patiently waiting for his story and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Will is everything I thought he would be and more! And the dynamic between him and Amber is legitimate fire!
This fun standalone romantic comedy had all the great aspects that I have come to love from Lisa Suzanne. There was passion, angst, witty banter, drama, and most of all... the happy ending that you want them to find.
I won't give anything away because this is a new release but just know that if you love Lisa Suzanne, you'll LOVE Driving Me Crazy. From the very beginning, Rascal and Amber will have you invested in them and all of the twists and turns that they take as they work their relationship. You will be there through every single motion, rooting for them, cheering for them, and wanting the best for them.
MFB is definitely My Favorite Band and I hope you love them just as much as I do! While each book is a standalone, they are all interconnected so go back and read Take My Heart and work your way through the other band members stories.
Now that being said... I can't wait for Kane's STORY!
Five stars for this fun romantic comedy that will have you so invested in them and their story that when you reach the end, you want to go back and re-read it again and again!
We get a glimpse of Amber and Rascal in "Waking up Married" ... but this is their hilarious book! I laughed so hard at all their antics, but there are parts that break my heart as well. I couldn't put this book down and finished it in one sitting.
Amber is a nurse and her brother Adam is in MFB rock band with Rascal (Will). As time marches on, their fling becomes more but Amber is hurting from her last boyfriend and Will has never had a relationship ... so he doesn't know how to be in one. They signed a contract for MFB's reality show to go on a road trip, but then Will does something stupid and Amber breaks up with him. And according to the contract they still have to go on the road trip and pretend to be "in love".
Once again Ms. Suzanne has delivered a down to earth funny book that will also have you reaching for the tissue box. I love that Amber doesn't rely on her rich brother and has a normal job. And Rascal becomes Will ... from a boy to a man. The sex scenes are HOT HOT HOT! In the extra epilogue we get a taste of Kane's book ... and I can't wait for it!
I graciously received an early copy courtesy of the author in exchange for a honest review.
I loved and hated the start of the road trip, but I have to say, that Will redeemed himself, and hugely at that. He started out an immature rock star who had just had his heart crushed by the woman he loves. She started out a weary road trip partner, who just broke his heart and quickly learned that Will was going to be a petty, immature child about everything....or so she thought. The chemistry between them is too strong to fight for long, and they end up in each others arms. The story had lots of ups and downs and at first I was annoyed with how he was acting, but then....I wasn't. No spoilers from me. It is a great book with interesting twists and turns. Read to find out if they will reconcile and rekindle their love, or will it be over forever.
Will and Amber’s story was literally driving me crazy as these two pushed and pulled, never saying what was really in their hearts. A story that is angsty, emotional and at times heart wrenching as these two struggle to see what is right in front of them. As Amber lets her past heartbreak cloud her judgement and as Will lets his pride and defensive armor build a wall around his heart, these two will have to drive each other crazy until it all tumbles down. Take a road trip with these two and enjoy the stops of passion, heat, confusion, conflict, hurt and finally realization of love. These two will drive you crazy but in the end every frustrating moment will be worth the instant when the clouds clear and they finally see each other.
If you remember in the last book, Will and Amber (Adam’s sister) hooked up in Las Vegas. Will is the last MFB member of the band to find love. But I think Will is so immature, I can see why he hasn’t found love. He kind of got on my nerves while he was on a trip with Amber. I know Amber really hurt Will, but neither one was very mature how they handled what happened. I think after Amber gave him a few home truths, he started thinking about how he acts. I was glad to see his mom didn’t coddle him when he talked to her about his feelings. I felt bad for Amber in some news that she had. I was glad to see that they both began to mature more when they were traveling. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.
Driving Me Crazy is the perfect title for Will and Amber's story because these two drove me crazy waiting to see what would happen with their relationship. From hot and sexy to cold and angsty as their spontaneous road trip turns into a road trip from hell. The tension was high and I wanted to scream at them both and yell "you belong together, stop being so stubborn!!"
"She's scared-terrified-of what the future holds for the two of us, and that realization helps lay one brick of trust in the house she tore through like a tornado a few days ago."
With all of my beloved MFB members and of course Mark Ashton popping up in Driving Me Crazy my rock star rom com is complete, a complete success that is!
I was so anxious to read this story and then the Quarantine happened and everything got skewed. It wasn’t until the next book in the series, It’s Only Temporary, released that I realized I’d missed this one. Now that I’ve read it, I really wish I hadn’t missed it. Amber and Rascal’s story is hysterical and angsty and everything we’ve come to expect from Lisa Suzanne’s Vail/AshMark/MFB world. More updates and glimpses of the rest of the band along with some heavy hints at what’s coming in the following books make this a must read. As always, well written with lovable characters, tight timeline, great world building. Highly recommend!
I felt like Rascal was misunderstood. Yeah he could be a man child. And yeah he seemed a little immature. But he really just needed that right woman to set his world straight; to be his better half and make him a better person.
Lisa Suzanne can write a good rockstar romance. This book was fun and with lower angst from what we’ve seen in that past by Lisa. It was sweet and super sexy. It was about two opposites finding that they are the missing pieces in each other’s puzzle. It was about growing up and finding yourself.
I laughed and swooned and my heart was full. It was just a fun journey that was well written and full of romance.
I think I have a very different opinion of what constitutes a rom-com. This was not a romantic comedy. It was a regular romance with angst. I almost stopped reading it about 40% in because I did not like Will at all. He was unkind and intentionally mean. In the end, he was kind of redeemed, but I wasn’t satisfied, thus the three stars.
This is the second “rom-com” I’ve read by this author and neither of them were.
With loads of humor, Lisa Suzanne brings the readers Rascal's story. From the opening pages Rascal's antics had me laughing out loud and when he and Amber relationship is at a crossroads the reader sees a different side of him that will make you swoon. There is so much more to Rascal than meets the eye and it was such a great read to finally see him in a new light. I loved Amber and Rascal's story.
Rascal!! I have been waiting for his story❤️ And WOW!! What an epic road trip! Lisa had me cracking up but also hoping they would find their way back! I laughed, I cried and I swooned! Lisa has sure proven she knows how to write, especially rockstar romance!!
Will (Rascal) was a prankster, the comic relief of the group but he was getting tired of that role. When the bands tour finally wrapped up he had a much needed break. He decided to hit the open road with his girl by his side. He hoped the change of pace and scenery would help him find answers. But a breakup took his dream road trip from magical to the road trip from hell!!
Amber was done, she wanted things that Will wasn’t ready for and a drunken night with the guys was the last straw. Unfortunately, she was contractually obligated to tag along on the road trip and pretend they were in love. Talk about a nightmare! He only stopped when he wanted and used all the info he had on the things she hated against her!
Would they end up killing each other or would they find a way to get past their differences?
What a blast! I loved that Will was trying to stay true to himself but also be the person he knew Amber needed. The two of them were perfect for each other!! Can’t wait to continue reading about the boys of MFB with Kane’s story!!
4 Stars Review by Lisa Late Night Support Group Up All Night With Books Blog
Driving me Crazy by Lisa Suzanne is Rascal and Ambers turn. We meet them in Waking Up Married. Rascal a/k/a Will is the keyboardist of a famous rockstar band and Amber is the sister to the lead singer and the best friends with her brothers now wife. Ms. Suzanne has given an amazing road trip story. Emotional, funny, family secrets, friendship and so much more.
My favorite part of this story is the underlying story. Rascal is the funny prankster and he is a boy at heart still but to see him grow into the man he is supposed to be is incredible writing. Amber who has been hurt by her last boyfriend has become so jaded that her walls are high, but as Rascal turns into Will, Amber becomes herself and finds how to enjoy and live life.
But it's not that easy, Ms. Suzzane takes on this road trip ride and you just can't help but swoon and laugh along the ride. and maybe shed a tear too!!
Great read. As these characters are in Waking UP Married, they can be read as standalone's, but I highly recommend reading them in order.
Rascal/Will & Amber have been friends for years and are totally hilarious together...be careful with food and drink while reading, you might snort it out your nose from laughing so hard!! Not kidding. This couple are opposites for sure but strangely attracted to each other like you would NOT believe. Unless of course you read the previous book, Waking Up Married..then you'll know exactly what I mean! Can silliness be sexy??? Apparently it can!!!
Amber and Rascal had a crazy, steaming hot and unexpected adventure in Vegas that could melt chocolate all by itself. Rascal couldn't act on his secret crush way back when but now, all bets are off as he's realizing that Amber might just be the perfect woman for him. As it turns into more, the fear of commitment is there...both of them are feeling it.
Rascal has been classified by his bandmates for the last 10 years as the goofy, immature keyboard player in MFB, always the yes- man who ends up 'taking one for the team'. He's getting so tired of being the one who has to compromise what's important to him for the good of the band. Rascal's nickname certainly fit him perfectly and his wildly inventive pranks may be legendary but it's the real Will who thinks it's getting tiresome to keep up this facade anymore.
As things continue to heat up between them, Will and Amber agree to a cross country road trip, possibly from hell at this point- the doubting, responsible, worn out ER nurse and the angry manchild who wants nothing more than to offer sweet torment to the woman that stole his heart.
News at 11- this perfect blend of a crazy-funny romcom and a serious romance will give you every single feel you could possibly imagine and then more on top of that! I'm always in awe of Lisa Suzanne's words and stories that leave me sighing with pleasure one minute, laughing my butt off the next and often shedding a few tears along the way until those endings that tie your heart in knots. You can't help but love every moment of Driving Me Crazy and what a way to spend a few hours it turned out to be! Will and Amber make quite a loveable but unlikely pair and I couldn't recommend reading their story more- fun, super steamy and VERY entertaining, with lots of unexpected plotlines to keep you guessing.

Driving Me Crazy will have you going cuckoo for Coco Puffs (OK, maybe a cookie) while enduring this road trip. You must read the book to get it. HAHA. This book release could not have come at a better time for those of us dealing with a "Shelter in place" mandate. It will take you on a ride of a lifetime across the states to free yourself from going stir-crazy inside the house. You will laugh, feel some hurtful times and love how this developed and played out. This story is about Will (AKA Rascal) from the band, MFB (My Favorite Band) and while each book can be read as a standalone they are inter-connected. Choose one or all and fall in love with MFB. Lisa knows how to write Rock Stars and she delivered again (but we never doubted her). Amazes me how she ups the story each time to make you have a new favorite book of hers. Sorry, but I cannot choose just one cause there is not a book by her I don't love. Rascal really isn't so much of a Little Rascal after-all, OK, yes, at times he is, but we saw a side of him that we didn't see portrayed as a secondary character in the other books. Will is going on a road trip, but there is a little detour in his plans. OH boy! He truly would have driven me bat crazy with his actions a majority of the time. Being Amber, I would have hopped out of the car a few times, but glad she didn't. Amber is tagging along on this road trip for a much needed break and something else. I won't spoil anything. It is heartbreaking though and being with the he-devil in the car is enough to drive you crazy. These two have known each other for years seeing as the connection they have in the band. They have a connection that they both fight and ignore, but when you take the time to stop driving a women crazy, you will see what is right in front of you. Just saying, HeHe. After all the craziness it was worth the ride! Now, just when you thought we were at the end of a series and sad as all the band members are no longer single, we get a shock that we do not expect! So all I can say, is Raise some Kane and bring more MFB! Your Driving Me Crazy, Lisa (I say this with love), but we love you for continuing to bring us MFB and snippets of AshMark.
Driving Me Crazy by Lisa Suzanne is a standalone, contemporary, opposites attract, rock star romance told in first person, dual POV. It follows the relationship between Rascal, keyboardist for the famous rock band MFB, and Amber, his bandmate Adam's younger sister. Previous books tell the love stories of other MFB band members, and though it’s unnecessary to read those to enjoy this story, doing so provides maximum enjoyment when familiar characters reappear. To catch up on the other members of MFB, you’ll want to read Take My Heart (Dax, lead singer), The Benefits of Bad Decisions (Brody, drummer), and Waking Up Married (Adam, lead guitarist).
Rascal and Amber are complete opposites. He's a rock star, she's an ER nurse. She's a planner, he goes with the flow. He's wild and values adventure, she's balanced and values stability. She's responsible, he's playful. He doesn't think about the future, she wants marriage and a family. They could never work, right? Or could they?
Amber and Rascal's relationship starts with a one-night stand in Vegas that surprises them both by turning into much more. But when Rascal has a run in with the law, Amber sees their differences as obstacles that can't be overcome. So they break up. Too bad they're contractually obligated to go on a cross-country road trip together and film footage for the band's reality show. They're going to drive each other crazy if they don't kill each other first. Can Rascal and Amber find a way to make things work? Read the book to find out.
I loved Amber and Rascal's story! I loved them both as characters, but must admit that I definitely took sides in their break-up. (I was team Rascal all the way.) These two were a perfect match. I enjoyed how their differences fostered growth and helped bring the best out of each other. The story was sweet, emotional, funny, and SO HOT! I highly recommend it. Looking forward to Kane's story in the next book.
Another fantastic Lisa Suzanne rockstar story! Though this can be read as a standalone book, it’s so much better when read as part of the series involving the band MFB. If you read Waking Up Married you will be familiar with the start of Will (Rascal) and Amber’s relationship. They are complete and total opposites that hook up in Vegas during a fun weekend when Amber and her BFF spend the weekend with the band. Driving Me Crazy is the story of these two - and the 0h-so-fun continuation of that Vegas weekend. Amber is an ER nurse, that loves to bake cookies as a side job and stress break from her nursing career. She is serious, thinks things through, plans thinks out and the complete opposite of Rascal. He is the keyboardist for MFB and known as the goofball, the one not to take anything seriously, the Peter Pan of the group as he has yet to “grow up”. Once the band finishes their current tour, they have quite a bit of time off and Rascal wants to go on a long-dreamed-about road trip across the country. He invites Amber to go with him and she agrees. They also agree to allow a reality show that has been shadowing the band to come along for the ride to be able to use some of their footage for the show. Before the time comes to hit the road, there is an incident with Rascal and Amber breaks up with him and has no plans on road-tripping with him. But they signed a contract to go on the trip together (and secretly she still wants to go to Maine because of a family secret she wants to learn the truth about). It’s a story about love and loss, learning to “grow up” and let go, finding forgiveness and love again. You ride along as both Rascal and Amber both learn to fight for what they want, learn to love and trust again and potentially find their way back to each other. It’s an easy and fun read that once you start you will not want to put down….Lisa Suzanne knows how to tell a phenomenal rock star story and once again knocks it out of the park! You will not be disappointed!
A family secret, a man-child, and a road trip. What could go wrong? Driving Me Crazy is a fun rockstar romance that proves we all have walls that only certain people can tear down. Amber and Will hook up in Vegas and sparks fly. Or do they? Will, the keyboardist for the bandMFB, has never grown up. He is never taken seriously and for the most part, let’s everyone run his life. Until he decides to take a road trip. Even that has has stipulations for the bands reality show. Family secrets have Amber wanting to go to Maine. She agrees to goon this road trip with Will but soon regrets it. She is an ER nurse who likes her life organized and planned out. She is far from a spontaneous person and yet she’s on this road trip with a person who both loves and “hates” her. Throughout the book, Will starts to become less of a man-child and Amber learns to more spontaneous. A steamy chemistry that only gets steamier as time passes. Lisa has written so that they are very relatable to readers. The character development starts slowly, but that is what makes this story so amazing. No one changes overnight. I love how Lisa includes other band mates and even brings back characters from sone of her previous series. This is an amazing romcom full of personal growth and steamy chemistry. If you are familiar with Lisa’s other rockstar romances you will love reading Driving Me Crazy. If you’re not familiar with her other books, this is a great place to start. You don’t have to read her other books first but it would be helpful to. I received a advance copy of DrivingMe Crazy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine and were not influenced by the author or her promotional team.

Rascal grows up! Driving Me Crazy was a little more intense to read than some of the other Vail/MFB books by Lisa Suzanne, but it ended up being a fantastically angsty road trip/second chance romance!
Will (the MFB keyboardist) and Amber (Adam’s sister) hooked up the weekend of her birthday in Vegas (which is when Adam married Brooke, so the timeline is about the same). They continued their fling when MFB went back on the road, and now that the band has a four-month break, Will invites Amber to join him on his bucket-list road trip. Since Amber recently found out some life-changing news and Maine holds the answers, that becomes their destination. And all of it, of course, will be filmed for the band’s reality show.
Except that just before they are about to leave, Will’s childish antics and no-cares attitude leads Amber to question what she’s doing with him. She doesn’t know that Will is slowly changing his ways, because he sees a future with her, and she dumps him. But as they are contractually bound to go on the trip, they have no choice but to do so. And it’s painful. Neither wants to be around the other, and a broken-hearted Will goes out of his way to be an a-hole.
As the story progresses, Amber sees how much Will can be her forever. They balance each other out; she’s a planner, he flies by the seat of his pants. But he’s genuine and thoughtful and Amber soon realizes that she’s made a huge mistake. But is it too late?
I love the journey these two take as they heal their relationship and each other’s hearts. Another great rockstar romcom from Lisa Suzanne! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
All of Lisa Suzanne's books are absolutely delicious. Once I picked it up I didn't put it down until I had read it from cover to cover. the genre is rockstar romance and it lives ups to expectations for the immature keyboard player whose drunk antics are the stuff legions are made up. Rascal meets up with Adam, the guitar player's, little sister Amber. Amber being a reliable ER nurse whose new attraction to Will aka Rascal, the impulsive, always ready for a bet or challenge keys player of MFB sends some new sparks into her quiet life. They decide to go on a car trip while the band goes on break. Will wants to just have fun, explore new locations, and spend time as much time with Amber as possible, preferably in bed. Amber receives a letter that turns her world upside down and will provide a purpose to find out if its content is true or not by meeting the writer of the letter, as, spending time with Will. Will and Amber have a falling out before their road trip when a drunken Rascal ends up in jail after a challenge was issued after a Band publicity appearance. The road trip has to go forward, due to being filmed as part of a reality show that is being filmed about the band. Each pushes the other's buttons, jump on each other's last nerves, as well cause hurt, loneliness and sexual tension throughout. The characters are so real, one feels they are friends one should be able to text Amber and say " I would do this... or don't forget....". I loved this story and the depths of the characters' reactions to each other. Its a winner among all the other stellar books written by Lisa Suzanne.
I've been waiting for this book and it was everything I wanted. I love Will so freaking much. Will is a member of MFB. If you've read Lisa Suzanne, you might have met a couple of the other members of the band before. You don't have to read any other books prior to this one, but Waking Up Married is the one that definitely gets me intrigued for Rascal and Amber's story.
Will's nickname is Rascal, he's a bit of a wildcard, he's the fun loving guy that's maybe just a tad immature. Amber is Adam's (another member of MFB) sister. They have a hookup in Vegas and continue to develop a relationship from there. She sees things in him that others don't and he starts to develop real feelings for her as their fun relationship progresses.
I completely adore Will. I love when he's playful, I love when he's learning how to grow up. I mean... is he immature? for sure, but you know that going in, and he's really trying. I have to honestly say that I was mad at Amber when she breaks up with him. I didn't want to go along with her reasons and I was 1000% on team Will. But, anyway, I'm rambling...
In this book, we see Will and Amber embark on a road trip in the midst of their breakup. It's awkward, it's maddening, but it's also fun and sweet. Seeing them finally start to understand each other more and more in the course of the road trip is definitely worth all the pain we are put through in the beginning.
Overall this is a lighter and fun read. They definitely have their serious moments, but a lot more of it is them having snowball fights and fighting over country music. I loved watching them make up and create a real foundation for what a true relationship for them would look like. I am in love with Will and can't wait to see what comes next from MFB.
Sometimes We Grow Up When We Have Someone Who Depends On Us
Will (aka Rascal) is the typical man-child, who also happens to have the life of a rockstar in MFB with his rockstar family. He loves partying, playing guitar and keyboard, playing pranks and joking around, and playing video games. But underneath that wild life and pranks lies a heart for giving and loving, especially for his family. Amber is the little sister of one of Will’s band mates, Adam, and also the life-long best friend of Adam’s new bride. Amber is an ER nurse-a planner, a self-proclaimed science nerd, and a young woman who is afraid to trust after a failed relationship. When a road trip puts Amber and Will together in a cross-country trip after a “bad decision run-in with the law” on Will’s part, which led to a break-up between them (again, trust issues on Amber’s part), it leads to quite the unbearable shenanigans on Will’s part as they make the trip toward Maine so Amber can come face-to-face with a personal family matter...and did I mention they were “micced-up” for the reality show featuring Will and Adam’s band, MFB?! I loved the dynamics among all of the character, but I especially loved seeing the growth of Amber and Will separately, as well as together as they found their way back to each other in a deeper relationship built on trust, love, family, and fun! Even though I read this through my Kindle Unlimited, this may be a book I go back and purchase to reread! Lisa Suzanne dis now among my favorite adult romance/HEA authors!
This without a doubt is one of the best Rockstar Rom Coms i have read. It also came with a huge added bonus of it being the third book and one of my favourite characters in this series!! Amber and Will are total opposites, he's the joker of the band, she's a serious minded girl and an Er Nurse, but since hooking up in Vegas they have somewhat been together ish!!! Neither wanting a relationship or commitments. After contractually signing up to do a road trip, Amber realises that she and Will are no where near being on the same page, she wants the home with the picket fence and kids, he ... doesn't so she breaks off their Non Relationship. Both are at a crossroads in their life .. But the road trip has to go on problem is will they both take the same route !!!
Lol is all i can say, never has it been so true that opposites attract and Lisa Suzanne has made a perfect job of it !! Their chemistry was off the charts, their banter had me in stitches and the lengths they go to pull each others chains kept me glued to the pages for what antic's would come next. Even with all this the author combined the deeper side to each of their characters and the emotional anguish was perfectly blended and made it all feel realistic and easy to fall in love with both characters!! But will it all end in tears or will Love conquer??
Seriously? You need to take this Rock Stars Road trip, it won't be one you forget !!!
