Hormonal imbalances can occur at any age―before, during, or after menopause―and for a variety of reasons. While most hormone-related problems are associated with menopause, fluctuating hormonal levels can also cause a variety of other conditions, and for some women, the effects can be truly debilitating. What You Must Know About Women’s Hormones is a clear guide to the treatment of hormonal irregularities without the health risks associated with standard hormone replacement therapy.
This book is divided into three parts. Part I describes the body’s own hormones, looking at their functions and the problems that can occur if these hormones are not at optimal levels. Part II focuses on the most common problems that arise from hormonal imbalances, such as PMS, hot flashes, and endometriosis. Lastly, Part III details hormone replacement therapy, focusing on the difference between natural and synthetic hormone treatments.
Whether you are looking for help with menopausal symptoms or you simply want to enjoy vibrant health, What You Must Know About Women’s Hormones can make a profound difference in your life.
This book has some great info on supplements and explains (clearly) the basics of women's hormones. It doesn't go into too much depth, but where it does it is great! I read a lot of nutritional/holistic health material and even I learned some new stuff!
This has some decent general information about women's hormones. It's not exactly what I needed, but it was a good start. It's good information about hormones, what they do, and how they affect the your body.
To the point Education easily delivered Factual evidence based information Highly recommend this for any of my patients Covers what most need to know about menopause
Very comprehensive book, well-organized, and well-written. I think if I had to choose one book about menopause to recommend, this would be in the top three.
NONFICTION Informative read about women’s hormones, their importance to health, and how they can influence disease. (A great non in-depth reference book) Hormones affect EVERYTHING. If a woman’s doctor isn’t talking about them during a visit, a woman should be finding a new doctor.
This is an interesting book that explains in detail (at least what we know currently) about women's hormones. How they affect us and what we can do about it. It was heavily researched, is well written, and it includes extremely important information about how hormones affect us.
