Beth has lured me into the slave rebellion with promises that spark a fire in my heart ... and in other places, as well. The Bazaar will either lead to a revolution, or end in countless lives lost and an even greater stronghold for slavery. On top of that, an old enemy has arisen, and fighting him will take every bit of strength and magic I possess. But he has more lives ...more

My favorite character so far is the damn unicorn. How is that even possible?

The Abyss was an okay book from this novella series. I feel like I haven't really fell in love with any of the books in the series. I don't even know if that's possible anymore since I'm all caught up with the 8 books. Unless there's a new one coming??

In it, we are still following Gareth and Beth's little love story. I figured that I would end up enjoying the crap out of their books because I enjoyed their bantering

Unicorns are horrible/amazing

First I need to note how often I laughed, just like ugly snorted at the crude humor we get between Beth and the unicorns. I didnt think we would see more again but here we are and Im amused all over again. These arent our childhood unicorns but Im not mad at it. Over all we deal with a lot of intense stuff considering how the slaves are faring and all that, but theres hope too and thats amazing. So close to the end and Im hyped to see how this all wraps up.
Sissy's Romance Book Review
The Abyss by Lily Archer is book 7 in Fae's Captive Series. This continues the story of Gareth and Beth's story who met in the previous book 'Taken' and 'The Bazaar'. This series does read better if you have read the previous books. Beth has been through a lot from all that has happened but now she has Gareth who wants only her but they are dealing with a rebellion which is in full swing.
There is some funny parts and of course there are the steamy scene.
Overall enjoyed this book.

I was annoyed reading this book...not because it wasn't good but because I'm dying for Gareth and Beth's happy ending and I still haven't gotten it lol. This book continues their story and we finally get some good steamy bits between the two of them. I really like Gareth. He's swoony and growly but Beth is a little harder to like. I'm all for a strong woman but for some reason it was harder to believe with her as a character and she came off a little annoying. But she did grow on me

Another fantastic story from Lily Archer! She just keeps on drawing me in and making me want more!
And for those fans of unicorns, you'll get your fix in this one ;)

The Abyss is full of action, humour, and sexy times (as if we'd expect anything else). With the rebellion in full swing, Beth and Gareth head off on their original quest - to rescue Clotty. The trip there is filled with strife, but it's nothing compared to the gaping hole that is The Abyss.
And that ending! I'm desperate for the next

Oh my word. Out of the current story line, this installment is my favorite by far. The return of the unicorns is just perfection. Sexually frustrated Gareth is fantastic. I laughed so much while reading this one. That cliffhanger, though. Looking forward to the next book.

Another awesome adventure

I am truly loving Beth and Gareth's story. It's a bit disappointing that it takes 4 books to get the whole thing. However, there's so much happening I am not bothered too much. On to the next...

The story is on repeat for me. Beth is still selfish with her "mate." She likes to be bossy and make him look like a fool. I don't like her. Not only that she is constantly making dumb choices and getting kid napped...again...again...and again. Where are the rest of the winter realm of at least so!e of them to help out. Let's get this over with already.

Like all the books in the Faes Captive series this is more novella than novel length. Lots of action, a little comedy thanks to a horny unicorn and as much sex as action. And here's my issue with the sex. Seeing as the author is a woman I grant she knows more about a woman's sexuality than I ever will. That said our heroine in this story is the changling or human. Beth who was stolen from her Earth family and forced into slavery to a cruel Fae at a young age. Beth has been abused, raped and ...more

The Abyss is the seventh book in this series. This is an ongoing story, you should therefore read these in order to know what has and is happening.

In this installment, Beth continues to use the mating bond to her advantage by teasing and cockblocking Gareth to get what she wants. I can appreciate and respect her need to free the slaves, but its underhanded and feels dishonest to use Gareths feral and his desire to make her happy against him. When their journey to the mines began, Beth and

Wow!! What a fast paced book!

The first half moves faster than the second half. This book does in on a cliff hanger but the next book is already out (well will be tomorrow).

Beth and Gareth have some very funny moments especially when it comes to unicorns! The bigger story of freeing slaves will play a major role in the books to come. It will be interesting to see how it plays out in the upcoming stories.

The last part of this story will be interesting because Lily left a lot of questions

Wow! Another fantastic read that will keep you kn the edge of your seat. Packed with action, adventure, heartbreak and hot red romance. The amazing bond between Beth and Fareth feels so palpable you can almost touch it and when they finally bond their love for each other snap into place. Damn ! Lily Archer sure knows how to make her characters come to life ! I've been hooked from book one and truly hope she keeps going with more and more of these lusty characters . I've always wished that these kind of guys were part of this world ... But since they aren't ,I'll just have to live and dream through her books .

Excellent story and continuation

The Abyss takes the story of Beth and Garet further adventures as they travel to the slave mines. The story is well written, sexy and fast paced. There are plenty of twists and turns as the book progresses. This book is an easy and enjoyable read.

The group has reached the Abyss after facing loss of good friends. I am so happy that Gareth finally claimed Beth. Their journey is still filled with danger and bad guys. I look forward to the next story.

Good read

Beth and Gareth story has continued with more fighting. I don't understand how they can keep getting into so much danger. Hopefully the next book will bring them their H.E.A.

Unicorns will never be thought of the same.

I loved this book. It was a love/horror story and a comedy all in one. The unicorns had me laughing out loud. Gareth and Beth are just so likable together.
