Although this is my first time reading Rie and I am a huge fan of mafia romance stories I have to say I could not get into this story. That does not mean that Rie's other books won't do it for me. So I will give her another try.
When it comes to this particular book though. I couldn't feel the connection with the characters. I loved the premise of the story but other than that the story fell flat for me.
Jesus... What a mess... In 24h she goes from " thinking with her brain" to begging to suck the H dick on her knees, 48h she goes from hostess to maybe bride... Its so rushed, so confusing...
Then for a girl raised in the mob she falls into the oldest trick in the book... Is predictable and since i was skimming all the sex that was used to justify their "attraction" I give up.
On another note: For someone raped, abused so many times, she handled sex pretty good... 😒
Hmm, there are a few things that was absolutely decadent about this, but there were some others that didn't do much for the storyline at all. The whole novel revolves around an ongoing feud between the Bratva & the Irish (the O'Sullivan clan), with the Yakuza creeping in on them to gain their own fair share from the fight.
Temporarily though, both parties are on a truce with the Irish being forced to send some of their liquor at lower rates to the Bratva. Kyrill Krasnov, the middle-child of the trio is the top enforcer who's also heading their nightclub where the supply of liquor is unloaded. Not so much of a surprise when he discovers that there's something off with the liquor and the scrawny delivery boy, youngest of the O'Sullivan brothers becomes a scapegoat. But the scrawny lad isn't a lad after all.
And that was the part where my interest ends since everything in its aftermath seems surreal & ridiculously unbelievable.
∷ The H somehow manages to usurp the entire Yakuza with little help in no time.
∷ We're told that h had been subjected to sexual abuse & rape for probably two decades of her life and we can see no signs of all that trauma in the aftermath. It's kind of ridiculous how the MCs fall into an easy routine, dismissing the entire thing as just another arc.
∷ If you're in want of a mobster romance solely for the romance part, this might be your cup of tea. I rather tend to like some amount of under-story with the MCs being put through times & falling in love as they bring down their enemies all throughout the entire book. Here, it was a one-man show with Jo being locked up at his club most of the time.
I do like the writing style of the author, so I'm sure I'll read more of her works, but it's just that this story wasn't for me.
This was exactly what I was in the mood for! From the first chapter, I was hooked. Warren grabbed ahold of me with intriguing characters and held on to me with an engaging storyline. Warren blends brutality and action with a seriously sexy and, at times even sweet, romance. I couldn’t put it down. I was completely enamored with these characters. Kirill was ruthless and intimidating and, dare I say, soft in unexpected ways and I LOVED it! Joanna was capable and strong, her fearlessness and resiliency was incredibly endearing. Warren gives us that super hot romance amidst a war between the Bratva and the Irish mob. It was intense and exciting. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, all the while the anticipation was building and pulling me deeper into the story. I truly loved this book and I’m thrilled that it’s the first book in the series because I can’t wait to read more from this crew.
3.75 stars-THE RUSSIAN THUG: Abducted by the Bratva is the first instalment in Rie Warren’s contemporary, adult KRASNOV BROTHERS erotic, Russian Bratva, romance series. This is the Zolotov Bratva enforcer Kirill Krasnov, and O’Sullvan Irish mafia princess Joanna O’Sullivan.
WARNING: THE RUSSIAN THUG contains scenes of spanking, graphic violence and a history of rape and sexual assault that may not be suitable for more sensitive readers.
SOME BACKGROUND: As young children, Kirill and his brothers Maksim and Arkady found themselves abandoned on the streets of Mother Russia. Fighting to stay alive, the brothers, led by eldest Arkady became a gang unto themselves until they tried to shake down a member of the Russian Bratva, a man who once ruled the notorious gulag. Seeing something in the boys, and without any male heirs of his own, Yury Zolotov adopted the young boys, and raised them as his own, preparing their way to rule the criminal underworld.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Kirill and Joanna) THE RUSSIAN THUG follows the building romance and relationship between the Zolotov Bratva enforcer Kirill Krasnov, and O’Sullvan Irish mafia princess Joanna O’Sullivan. Imprisoned by the Zolotov Bratva, Joanna O’Sullivan found herself in lock down when the Bratva discovered her family had been cheating on a number of their shipments. Held as a source of collateral Joanna knew she would be nothing more than fodder for her father’s deals but her brothers are about to risk their lives for the sister they love. Kirill Krasnov had no idea the skinny truck driver was the Princess of the O’Sullivan mafia. Keeping her prisoner is the least of his worries when his attraction to Joanna finds Kirill guardian and protector of the woman with whom he would fall in love. As the O’Sullivan brothers come to terms with the Zolotov Bratva, the Japanese Yakuza seek revenge against Kirill Krasnov, as Joanna, once again, becomes the target of some very powerful and dangerous men.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and charismatic secondary and supporting characters including Kirill’s brothers: Maxsim, Arkady and their sister Sasha, their ‘grandmother’ Svetlana, as well as the head of the Bratva and ‘father figure’ Yury Zolotov, and Joanna’s brothers Lucky, Kelly and Dex O’Sullivan.
THE RUSSIAN THUG is a story of family, betrayal, vengeance and blood. A story of power and control; repercussions and restitution. The premise is dark and gritty; the characters are dynamic ; the romance is erotic and intense but I struggled with the use of a certain four-letter word. Saying that, you will have to suspend reality as it pertains to the quick building relationship or at the very least ignore the heroine’s history of abuse -a Stockholm Syndrome type relationship manifests within hours of capture- but such is the nature of fictional storylines.
Talk about HOT!! I mean, call out the firemen, it's SMOKING, type hot!!
The storyline is such that once you pick it up, you are unable to the book down because you just HAVE to know what is going to happen next.
So many things happen in this story, many of them horrific to a "normal civilian", and as we read it we ask ourselves why would the heroine want to let herself stay in the situation she finds herself, but in all honesty, the answer is quite simple: 1) she was raised in this lifestyle and it's what she knows. It's actually a type of security blanket for her.
2) the enforcer of the Bratva is and was the most safe/kind person she ever came across, even if he is in the same type of work as her family/the people that assaulted her, and as a result she started to grow feelings for him.
This is the first book I have ever read by Ms. Rie Warren, but I am anxious to start looking for more so I can see what else she has in store for us. But, if you have issues with rape or beatings (by people other than the hero of course) or even killings, I highly recommend you don't read this, otherwise grab a copy and sit on back to enjoy one hell of a THRILL RIDE!!

Russian Bratva meets Irish Mafia, Krasnov's vs. O'Sullivan's, and you can guess who comes out on top.
Kirill is the enforcer for the Russian Bratva. He doesn't hesitate in getting things done. He'll take your head for betraying him or kidnap someone whose family is cheating them. It's all the same to him. Just another's day work. That is until the him he kidnaps turns out to be a her.
"When you're in trouble, I will always come for you, malyshka."
People referred to her as the speculative Irish princess, but she was no princess. She was a slave to her da. Just some piece of chattel. Not to her brothers though. They wanted to protect her. And leaving her with the Russian who kidnapped her was they best way they could do that.
Kirill and Jo had a chemistry that you could feel throughout the pages. Yes, she probably wanted to stab him a time or two, but honestly couldn't blame her. However, he may have been the enforcer, but even he had boundaries. He was tough, but not once did he mistreat her.
"No man has ever given me the pleasure you just did."
The Russian Thug: Abducted by the Bratva is an action packed, steamy-hot, and violently graphic book. From the beheadings to the shootings, from the sexual tension (between multiple characters) to the fiery sex scenes, from the mouthy lead female character to the fierce lead male character...what more could I want in a book? Absolutely nothing!
This started the Krasnov Brothers Series off with one hell of a bang and I cannot wait to see what's next.
**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**
The Russian Thug: Abducted by the Bratva is the first book in the Krasnov Brothers series.
Kirill Krasnov is the enforcer of the Russian Bratva and he takes his job quite seriously. When it's suspected that the O'Sullivan's of the Irish Mafia is delivering watered down alcohol to their club, he takes matters into his own hands. He meets the delivery driver on the dock and demands to know what is going on. Finding out that the delivery trucker isn't who he expects he comes up with a plan to make the Irish pay.
Joanna O'Sullivan is the only daughter and treated like a slave by her father. Her brothers tried to protect her the best they could be being on the Irish compound was the most dangerous place she could be, including being abducted by the Bratva.
"When you're in trouble, I will always come for you, malyshka."
You could feel the chemistry between Kirill and Jo burning through the pages. He wasn't the type to fall for one woman but something about the Irish tomboy called to him in ways he couldn't understand. I loved the suspense and darkness. The side characters where just as entertaining and had me invested in them. I can't wait to get more of these brothers.
Yes! All the feels. The Russian Thug is a great story that gave me everything I was looking for. Mafia themed with hot steam and a more than meets the eye heroine? Sign me up.
The plot of this story was refreshing. The beginning was not what I expected. Then getting to watch the action unfold? The characters were beautifully written. I absolutely loved peeling back each layer of them.
The heat in this book is 100% on point. The development of said heat was even better. This story really makes you fall for each character. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
Overall, I loved this story. It was written well and had me enamored from start to finish. I would recommend this book over and over.
THE RUSSIAN THUG ABDUCTED BY THE BRATVA ~ KRASNOV BROTHERS BOOK 1 ~ RIE WARREN
What a great Great mafia story✨✨✨ the book hot, steamy, erotic with twists and turns that make me not sleep at night Kirill and Joanna hot copel 🔥 even though they are supposed to be enemies you can feel the chemistry between Kirill and Jo.
Kirill is all dominating alpha whilst Jo is all sassy and feistiness but they balance each other out and when Kirill needs to be put in his place Jo is the woman to do it. Great start to the series. I can’t wait for the next book♥️♥️♥️ I highly recommended ♥️♥️♥️
Kirill is part of the Krasnov Bratva, the enforcer and he's good at his job. He ends up kidnapping Joanna the O'Sullivan's only daughter. She dressed as a boy to prevent problems due to her gender. The O'Sullivan's have been cheating the Bratva on shipments. Kirill keeps Joanna as payment. The two are instantly attracted to each other and the fire is HOT. Joanna has been abused by the men in her life. Kirill treats her better than her own family. He doesn't expect to get feelings for a woman. A stunning read and couple. A good read.
Loved the book, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. Once I started I could not get enough, from the start till the end I was engrossed I was even on the edge of my seat with twists and turns, lust and raw passion, strength, happiness with a happily ever after. Erotic with a major turn on. Do yourself a favor and buy the book you want be disappointed. Thank you for allowing me to review your book.

Cliched. Predictable. For all the physical and sexual abuse the h Joanna dealt with she was just perfectly fine and hot for the H Kirill and had no issues with sex at all. Suuurrree. That made sense..🙄
Not sure why I bothered finishing it. First time reading this author and likely will be the last.
This book was intense, everything I like in a Mafia story!!!! You will get through many emotions while reading this book. Kirill is the Mafia but is seeking revenge when their leader has done them wrong. So the only thing is think about is kidnapping his daughter, Jo. Jo doesn’t deserve what is coming to her but you will see that both of them are in this together really. It was a really enjoying story. The characters were perfect.
This is the first book this mafia series. Kirill and his brothers were orphans and the mafia took them in and they became part of the family. Now Kirill is their enforcer and when he finds out the Irish mob has been cheating them and he takes the daughter of their leader. What will happen when sparks begin to fly between Jo and Kirill? Fast-paced read with loads of drama, and suspense. The chemistry is steamy and the characters have lots of depth which draws you into the read. I really liked it.
The Russian Thug is hot, I read until 4 this morning because I just couldn't put it down. I can't wait for Sasha and the rest of the brothers to get their books. Maybe we can also get a 2nd generation out of this series. Great job Rie!
This is a fabulous adventure, Jo and Kirill, the two main characters are perfect foils for each other, they have such a hot and steamy relationship. They meet when he mistakes Jo for a man when she is doing a drop off job for the Irish Mob; he apprehends her and realises that she’s no man! Quite a few twists and turns, some fantastic characters and a great storyline. Thoroughly enjoyed this page turning book that l just couldn’t put down.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review. Kirill and his brothers we orphaned when they were young. When they tried to pull one over on Yury, part of the Russian mafia, Yury saw something in them that he could mold and grow them into his very own and they would be part of his crew. Now years later Kirill is the enforcer and he takes his job seriously. When he finds that the Irish mob has been watering down the alcohol he meets the delivery driver for a little talk. He is surprised to find that Joe is really Joanna. The daughter of the head of the Irish mob. He decided to hold her to get the O'Sullivan's to take notice. Jo/Joanna takes her delivery driving job seriously. It is the only freedom she has to get away from her father and his goons. When she goes to the bratva, she can't believe that Kirill has found out that she is really a woman. And that he has taken her captive. But as long as the mafia doesn't treat her the way that her father does, she is better off with the Russian thug. Will Kirill learn the real reason she has been driving the delivery truck? And why no one has come after her? Will Joanna learn to trust Kirill and his brothers? Can these two live together without acting on the sizzling chemistry between them? I really enjoyed this story and the chemistry between Jo and Kirill. And I look forward to more in this series from the brothers. I have read others from this author and can't wait to read more from her.
The Russian Thug: Abducted by the Bratva (Krasnov Brothers #1) by Rie Warren 5 stars M/F Mafia romance Triggers: Mafia romances tend to have darker issues, just be aware that there are some dark themes within this story. I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.
Kirill Krasnov is an enforcer for the Russian Bratva. He knows what is expected of him and does it without feeling. After making a deal with the O'Sullivan Irish clan nearby, when it's discovered that the O'Sullivans have been shorting the Russians, Kirill knows he has to get to the bottom of the issue and fast. Nobody takes advantage of his Bratva. But, when he confronts the O'Sullivan delivery person, it's not who he expects.
Joanna O'Sullivan (Jo) knows that she isn't living the typical life. More than most, Jo knows what can lie underneath the belly of the beast. When she is delivering their agreed amount of alcohol to the Russian Bratva, unbeknownst to her, her family has been shorting them. When she's kidnapped and held so that the O'Sullivan clan will start rectifying the issue, Jo knows that she might just be more safe with the Bratva than at home.
Jo's brothers and Kirill have to figure out a way to work together to come up with a solution. Kirill and Jo have chemistry that jumps off the page at you. You can feel the pull they have and see the changes they go through in order to figure out what they are going to do about their chemistry. When the unthinkable happens, Kirill will have to decide if Jo is worth the fight.
I cannot wait to read more of this series. This one was amazing and kept you on your toes.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I read this cover to cover last night and really enjoyed it. Jo had me laughing out loud with her antics and behavior. I can tell I'm going to love the future books in this series. Jo and Kirill don't have the traditional meeting or relationship. I love how this story unfolds and takes off. This story has your traditional Bratva drama and Irish mob. I really felt for Jo and her past. I'm glad she ended up with Kirill. Great read and great new series!!
Rie has done it again!!! She has made me fall in love with a few different MC’s, football players, aliens and now I’m in love with men from the Russian Bratva and Irish mafia.
Kirill Krasnov and his brothers went from going thru dumpsters looking for food to now working for the Zolotov Bratva. Kirill is the enforcer and he’s not afraid to take the life of somebody who gets in the way of the Bratva.
They’ve had an arrangement with the O’Sullivan family after a shoot out didn’t go in the Irish families direction. Now every week they get a delivery of alcohol. Then Kirill and his brothers discovered the O’Sullivan’s are shorting them and Kirill will do what he’ll take matters into his own hands.
Kirill had a plan in his head. Once the delivery driver was in the right position the O’Sullivan’s would learn once and for all not to mess with the Bratva. Except when he gets his hands on the driver his world changes. The driver isn’t a skinny guy. Nope!! It’s the daughter of the O’Sullivan mafia. The Irish princess. The one who’s never seen, a mystery. Kirill instantly has other plans for her. He’s going to keep her as his and plans on breaking her and teaching her family a lesson.
Joanna “JO” O’Sullivan is the only daughter. Her brothers love her but her Da. He doesn’t treat her like the princess a Da should. Instead he’s not afraid to put his hands on her and in order to keep his guys in line he’ll pass her around. Jo’s in a prison all alone.
The only thing Jo has is her deliveries. When Kirill the enforcer of the Russian Bratva decided to kidnap her due to her Da screwing them over, she knew she should be afraid. But, instead there was something about him and their chemistry that made her feel safe. For the first time in awhile.
Kirill had a plan when he first grabbed Jo. But, she makes him feel things he’s never felt before. When her brother called Kirill was shocked for the second time. They weren’t calling him to get her back. Jo’s brothers knew she wasn’t safe from their Da. They propose they work together to keep Jo safe and find a way to solve both their problems.
Kirill realizes quickly he’ll do anything to keep Jo safe from her father and every other guy who thinks she belongs to them. Neither Kirill or Jo has felt this way before and as long as they can keep each other they’ll take all the feelings that come along.
I lost sleep reading this!!! Rie had me hook, line and sinker addicted to Kirill, his brothers and sister from the first page. Kirill can tie me up and punish me whenever he wants bc he’s amazing. He’s extremely tense, scary, lethal and not somebody you’d wanna come across in either a dark or bright alley. He’s also very loyal to those he cares about and when it came to Jo he was sensitive, flirty and all around the guy you wanna fall asleep with.
Jo is also an amazing character. Her life was miserable. Jo was a slave to whoever her Da gave her to that day. But, she loved, loved, loved her three brothers and would do anything for them. She tries hiding for Kirill but it doesn’t work and Jo becomes loyal to him and the Zolotov Bratva.
Mark off a few hours for the day you plan on reading this. Bc, Kirill will have you sucked in and you won’t want to put your kindle down. I was rooting for Kirill and Jo from the moment he ripped off her hat and realized he was a she.
I’m also ready do Kirill’s brothers and Jo’s brothers to get stories. Both the Russian Bratva and the Irish Mafia brothers deserve a HEA after working together to save their sister and help their brother.
The only thing that confused me was how Kirill became the enforcer and his other two brothers in the positions they got. Since Yuri took them in how’d he do it. That was only thing I kept asking myself.
I’m hoping people keep speaking in Rie‘s ears and that she continues writing the stories of those speaking to her. I’ll continue following her and reading the next release. So, hurry up Rie.
The Russian Thug: Abducted by the Bratva is book 1 in the Krasnov Brothers series by Rie Warren. The story focuses on Joanne ‘Jo’ O’ Sullivan and Kirill Krasnov. Jo is part of the O’ Sullivan family or more so the Irish mob, but not everything is what it seems with her. One day when she is making her usual delivery to the Russian Bratva (where Kirill is part of), she is stopped due to a screw up on her family’s part and her true identity coming to light. From here, Jo is abducted by Kirill, toyed with, but not everything goes to plan as games are played and relationships are built.
Jo and Karill are a force to be reckoned with. She is super sassy and has been through a lot of heart-breaking things in her life. When Kirill finds out the truth about what her father has put her through, he will go to the ends of the earth to protect her, even if it is from her remaining family. Kirill is the quintessential dominant male. He is Bratva and everything that that entails. Often cold, a killer and alpha, he puts his family first, so he is ultimately intrigued when he comes across Jo and what she could mean for his future.
This was a fast-paced book full of action, spicy romance and great characters. Jo and Kirill work so well together and she definitely puts him in his place when he needs it and it was really different and entertaining seeing the two different types of background that the two came from. I really liked that Kirill was an alpha male but didn’t intentionally go out of his way to hurt Jo, it was kind of a love at first sight but deny it type of thing for him which at times was quite amusing. Jo, was just one of those characters that you really like, after everything she has endured, she is still a nice person and strong enough not only to face Kirill but also his family and being in the mafia. If anyone should be a queen, it’s her. A must read book!
ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review 😊
Well...let's start by saying I haven't read anything like this in a while. I've had my reader down for like a year or so. And no erotica for sure. But I can't stay away from Rie's work for long, and this new world really pulled me in.
Rie Warren reinvented herself once gain by taking her incredible brand of erotica from the book world, to dystopia, to Biker world, outer space and now we've come to the Boston mafia. The Russian and Irish mafias to be exact.
It's hard to talk about it without giving spoilers because the first twist happens almost right at the beginning. But that also helps pull you in quicker - and makes this storyline possible.
Here's the deal - the Zolotov Bratva has been ripped off by the Irish, and their enforcer, Kirill Krasnov is ready to take his vengeance out when the clan's only daughter, Joanna, pretty much falls in his arms. Then the story takes all kinds of unexpected paths, including a romantic and sexy one.
True to Rie's style, the main characters are a stoic man and a feisty yet vulnerable woman, which we are all bound to love, right? And yes, the story revolved mostly around those two characters, but Rie has a way of building up series that very few have, as all the characters in the background also stand out in their own ways, even if they never even utter a word, so you immediately wanted to know all about each and every one of them (yes, I want atories on the Irish brothers, and Grigor too, not just the Krasnovs).
As for Kirill and Joanna...I guess we do learn a lot about their worlds, and about Joanna's previous life, in particular. Kirill, for his part, is a man of mystery, so most of his softer, more vulnerable and insightful moments are about this woman. We get told he opens up to her, bur we barely hear of what he tells her at all.
Then again, even in romances, I always think the first book is more about building a world and setting a tone than character building.
Having said that, I thoroughly enjoyed the ride, and I got close to being wet myself, so well done Rie|
Two rival families that are fighting for the same area, however the Russian’s already own this side and the Irish want to do their business wherever they please. The Zolotov Bratva is not going to let them take any of their area and after they made them pay for the last time, and the Irish agreed to give them liquor in retribution, now they have deceived them, and it will not go unpunished.
Kirill Krasnov is the Enforcer of the Zolotov Bratva and he will make the O’Sullivan’s pay for their deception on the liquor they’ve been delivering. However, he is in for more than he bargained for when he confronts the delivery boy about the liquor being short.
Jo O’Sullivan has not had it easy. Being the youngest O’Sullivan has not had its rewards, she has three older brother who will fight for her and do whatever they can to protect her, but her father just doesn’t care. Her only escape is weekly deliveries on behalf of the family, but she has to wear a disguise to hide who she is.
I loved this book and the characters were great. Kirill is a dangerous killer that shows no mercy. The one time he does almost gets him killed. He is not a man to mess with and he will prove that to the O’Sullivan’s. He demands respect and he’s loyal to the Yury Zolotov and the Bratva. He does not accept disloyalty or deception. Kirill is battling a war inside to maintain his reputation, but also to claim the only woman that he could ever see himself spending his life with. They’ll have to fight a few battles, but it will be worth it in the end. I give this story a 4.5-star review and look forward to more on the Krasnov brothers, hopefully there will be books on the O’Sullivan brothers as well in the near future. If you like bratva, mafia, dangerous men, women who defy their men to prove their loyalty and try to protect them, or books with the battle of wills between the Hero and heroine, you will love The Russian Thug. It seems that Jo can’t keep herself out of trouble.
I thought this would be darker. Like from start to finish. Dark. But this had dark bits and pieces instead.
Kirill was fucking mushy-gushy. You can’t tell me otherwise. Like he’s treating her “well” and then goes and slices and dices another person. He feels way too soft around Jo for a mafia enforcer honestly. Like I get the “mafia guy has a soft side for his chick” thing. I really do. But only if that soft side isn’t seen by everyone. Because what mafia enforcer wants other people to see that side? He announced in front of Jo’s brothers AND HIS. Loudly. Doesn’t seem realistic.
Also... recreational games? No.
Nothing really “fit” the scene I imagined. Not Kirill. Not his brothers. Not Lucky (what kind of Irish mafia prince asks the Russian mafia enforcer if ?)
Also Jo... honey... how dumb can you be to—you know what? It’s in the mafia romance basic outline: heroine does something stupid and usually out of character that forces hero to save her. She was okay for the most part. Except for that cliche plot device. (Ruined her “strong and smartness”. Sorry, I don’t make the rules.) Though it’s unbelievable how she would’ve been so open with Kirill and want to fuck the shit outta him after all that happened to her in her past. But what do I know about love? *sigh* She knew he was “the one” obviously. Obviously. Obviously. (If I say it enough times, will it be true?) That’s the only way she would’ve allowed herself back into one of those situations, yes? If she obviously knew right? Right? Right? Right. Right. Yeah, whatever. Take back your sexuality, Queen! (Help me. I’m tryna be on Jo’s side, but even I don’t believe what I’m saying.) She’s a psychic and knew Kirill would be the one to marry her and make babies with her. Done done. Magic!
The Russian Thug: Abducted by the Bratva (Krasnov Brothers #1) was a great 5 star read. Once I started I was pulled right in, I loved Jo and Kirill.
Kirill is the enforcer for the Russian Bratva. When they discovered they were being cheated by the irish on their liquor, he decided to kidnap the driver. Unbeknownst to him the driver was female, and when he found out who she was he was shocked. Why would her father let her deliver liquor?
Jo is what you would call an Irish Princess but she’s not treated like one at all. Her father uses her for bargaining and she dresses like a boy. Being with Kirill is much better than being with her own family. As these two spend time together the hotter the connection gets. Kirill has plans to use her as a bargaining chip with her brothers, when he discovers what her brothers want he is shocked. Will Kirill keep Jo for himself?
Overall I loved this book. Kirill was a bad boy right from the get go. He was dominating and very direct with Jo on what he wanted from her. I loved Jo and her sassiness and strength. These two are perfect for each other. We also get some very hot and steamy scenes with these two. I loved all of the secondary characters and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. This is definitely going on my top reads of 2020 list.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
I am her captor. Her keeper. And I don't have a single intention of protecting her. This mouthy tomboy is the only daughter of the O'Sullivan mafia, and they've been screwing us over for moths. All of that changes today. I don't like surprises but I do enjoy a challenge and, by the time I'm done with the Irish brat, the uneasy truce between our Bratva and their family will be no more than bloodstains on the streets of Boston. I'm going to abduct her. I'm going to toy with er. I'll control her and teach her family a lesson they'll never forget. I can't wait.
Get ready to spend some time with the Russian Bratva and the Irish Mafia. The Krasnov's versus the O'Sullivan's. Krill is an enforcer for the Russian Bratva and he has not problem at all getting his job done and done well. He doesn't care if he has to kill or kidnap and won't hesitate to go either. Which leads to the O'Sullivan family who are cheating on the Bratva and he is taking their one and only daughter who unbeknownst to him is just a slave to her dad instead of the Irish Princess he thinks that she is. She is a nothing to her father but the opposite can be said about her brother's. They want to protect her. Turn out the thing you think that just might be bad for someone might be the best place to leave them. To say that Krill and Jo have amazing chemistry that will have the pages melting right in front of you on your kindle. This book was really good and I loved every second of it. I really can not wait to see what we get in the next book of this series.
This is the first book by Rie Warren that I have read but I will be reading more. Warren has many published books that I look forward to reading. The Russian Thug: Abducted by the Bratva is different and interesting and entertaining. I loved Kirill the main character and the Irish fighting spirit of Jo and the instant chemistry that the two had. This story had a few twists and turns and lots of action, I mean how could it not with it being about a Russian enforcer. There are several support characters that play very important roles throughout the story and are just as entertaining as Kirill and Jo, and since this is book one of the Krasnov Brothers series, I can’t wait to read their stories. 5 rubles, I mean stars for The Russian Thug: Abducted by the Bratva by Rie Warren.
Kirill Krasnov is the enforcer for the Zolotov Bratva and is loyal to a fault to his pakhan, the leader of the Bratva. When the Irish family the O’Sullivan’s make their weekly liquor delivery Kirill is ready to make them pay for shorting them on their order. Kirill is in for a big surprise but one that he can use against the O’Sullivan’s. Jo O’Sullivan is feisty and high spirited and knows how to fight, unfortunately the waif of a woman doesn’t stand a chance against Kirill. Jo becomes a “guest” of the Bratva to teach the Irish a lesson, but both families just might learn a thing or two when Jo and Kirill are done with each other.
