There was no denying this powerful force of attraction I had toward him, an undeniable pull. Horizontal gravity.

I once loved a boy who grew into a man.
A man that promised me stability, loyalty, and a lifetime of security. I had it all—at least I thought so. Until mere minutes with someone else made me want for more. More than I already had. Forbidden wants that I shouldn’t

Title: Unraveled (The Ryder Boys #1)
Author: Mia Kayla
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publication Date: December 4, 2017

I admit that I am still a newbie when it comes to Mia Kayla's Books but I fell in love with her The Torn Duet (Review Here and Here) and ever since, I have binged read them all.

Unraveled in the first book from her latest series The Ryder Boys and I am so happy because this book was lovely! Love it! It was like a perfect crescendo- It had just the right amo
2.5-3 Stars

This is just a case of it’s me not you. I felt Unraveled was too fast paced. Angelica ends her relationship of 8 years and in a matter of weeks or a month she already loves Cade the bartender and vice versa. I also needed a little more backbone from her when it came to her telling her ex Roland and her mother off. She was a pleaser and her standing up for herself came way too late in the story. Her and Cade had chemistry but I needed an emotional connection and when I did feel it, whi

Get ready to meet the Ryder boys! Unraveled is the first book in this new series of interconnected standalones.

This book elicited such strong emotions from me. There was quite a bit of angst and drama not only between Angie and Cade, but also Angie, her family, and her ex-boyfriend, Roland. I loved Angie's devotion to her family, but her indecision and inability to stand up for herself were frustrating at times. It did allow her character to really grow through the course of the book though, and

I won an ARC of Unraveled and I couldn't put it down. My days have been filled with homework and obligations, but every spare second was spent reading this book. I loved it. Cade and his "Angel" were adorable together, and honestly I'm a sucker for tattooed boys with a heart of gold. I felt like this book was really relatable in this day and age. With our cellphones on hand 24/7 it makes it easy for someone to become a workaholic (I'm literally typing this on my phone right now.. and you're prob ...more

4.5 STARS!!
Unraveled was such a great read. I enjoyed the characters, the storyline and this story because it made me feel a whole lot of emotions. I finished this book in one sitting and was not ready for the end. I absolutely loved Cade. I enjoyed Angelica's character. However, she was so indecisive and went along with things too easily, and that's the only thing that stopped me from rating this book 5 stars. I wanted Angie to make her decision and stick with it without worrying about how her

I've read most of Ms. Kayla's books and I adore the ones that I've read. But every author has THE book, and I do believe that this book is that one!! I just, I still don't have any words to describe everything I felt while reading this book!!

First of all, Angie. She's got such a sweet heart, she's beautiful inside and out, she's good at her job and she's someone I would love to have as a friend in this life!! Cade, he's sexy and alpha and oh so attractive. But more than that he's sweet, has a h

So good. I'm so in love with Unraveled and I simply adore Mia Kayla. Mia had me in tears and a gooey mess with this one. And for that I love her for it. How can you not love Cade. God he is dreamy and such a sweetheart. He really stole my heart. I want to be Angelica when it comes to Cade. He simply entered her world when she really needed him. Just don't get me started on Roland and her mother. Seriously I never wanted to slap two people more. LOL. Once you meet the rest of the Ryder boys you c ...more

Unraveled by Mia Kayla is the first book in The Ryder Boys Series. Unraveled is a standalone.

Meet Angelica Armstrong. She´s a 24 year old woman who is bored out of her mind. She´s in a boring relationship with a boring boyfriend and has boring sex. But she´s a pleaser and can´t step away from her life.
And then is there Cade Ryder , a tall tattooed bartender/ businessowner. He´s a good guy, with a difficult past. She should stay away from him, but thats impossible.
I started reading and was hooked

Angelica is a people pleaser for sure. Growing up in a well-to do family, there were many things expected of her and she did everything to make everyone happy. She'd been with Roland since a young age and for 8 years. Their families were friends. It was expected they would marry. He was a workaholic.

And......Angelica was completely bored! There was no passion in her love life and she wanted more! She needed to step out of her box!

Enter Cade Ryder......yum!!! Tatooed bartender/business owner. I

I can never get enough of Mia Kayla's books and Unraveled is yet another example of why I love her so much. It is full of everything I look for, sweet romance, frustrating angst, and all kinds of HOT!
I loved Cade from the first time we met him. I mean who couldn't love a sweet, sexy bartender who isn't afraid to go after what he wants.
I couldn't help but love Angel even when she was frustrating me for not standing up to her family. I couldn't get enough of her and Cade, and thought they were a

This is told in Angie's POV and can be read as a standalone, but I was happy to hear we will get more from the Ryder brothers.

Angie was stuck in a relationship that had been over for years but was already planned out by their parents. After her father gets ill, things change for her and her sister. Being blown off, yet again, Angie goes out with her sister and is introduced to the tattooed bad boy that is Cade Ryder. There is an instant attraction between the two but so much more to Cade than wh

This is a new author for me. Unraveled is a good book that will make you mad and then in love again. Wade and Angelica's story is a wonderful love story. These two made me so mad throughout the book until I wanted to strangle them both but in the end they got their happily ever after. I recommend this book.

Mia Kayla is a supreme master of angst. Every book of hers I find myself frantically turning the page, consumed with what's going to happen next. Unraveled had me manic until I finished. Angie and Cade burned up the pages, in fact this is her hottest book to date. I loved this beautifully written story about a good girl who thought she had to settle until a gorgeous tatted up bartender changes her mind. Five incinerating stars!

Such a good read!

I love books which make me stop and consider. What would I do if it happened to me? And then you have to be honest with yourself and really search your soul, unless you judge unfairly.

I found this plot very realistic, and very well written. It kept me up late into the night and filled my heart. Yes, maybe we would all automatically look up to our parents and sacrifice for family - or not. We would become rooted in what social convention tells us we want, and swallow unhappy thou

I'm not a serious reviewer okay... I don't take myself serious so you shouldn't either...

but I'm honest and all of this intro is a fact that at times I can read a book that no one likes or is plain pure smut and love it or I can read a great book and still be bothered with all the little things that happened. And I can change my mind...just like that...

I guess what I want to say is all comes down to connection to something in the story.
And another fact is that all the "assholes" heroes I'm read

Mia Kayla's words never fail to get to me in some unexpected way and this was no exception. Unraveled was opposites attract in a whole new way. Because as different as Cade and Angie were, they were so much the same.

Both come from privilege, both work their tails off to make a name for themselves. Both a little lost and a lot nervous. Unable to deny the sizzling chemistry between them. Not wanting to. Both getting in over their heads with the feelings of it all.

There was a lot of back and forth

I was so excited to find out that Mia had a new series coming, not a stand alone, not a duet but a series that will give me even more of her writing!! This is the first book in The Ryder Boys series and it's on to a great start!

Angelica (Angie) has been in a relationship for years and is not getting what she needs from that relationship. She is the giver and pleaser but doesn't get anything in return but put in last place. She is close to her family especially her sister. While visiting a build
3 stars solely for Cade! He was exactly the type of H I love! Strong, hot as sin, dependable, loyal, and rich lol

BUTTTT heroine's bullshit got old real quick. She definitely needed to grow a spine and tell her family off way earlier in the book. It was something different with the heroine being the one fucking up in the relationship instead of the hero but it was just constant screw ups. And it was the same thing over and over! I was just annoyed with her by the end. Also, I hate it when h's get

What a great start to a series! The intense moments had me on edge with the feels of wanting more for Cage and Angelica. Two people from different worlds growing up with a lifestyle that made them who they are today. The need to please others to protect the ones they love whether if it was for their own good or not. Although it felt slightly fast paced the reasoning behind the timeline made it work in its favor. The author also made the mixes of cliches written in the book h

I loved this one. Both Angie and Cade are great characters. They are easy to connect with which made this a quick read for me. Angie is fed up with her relationship. Angie has been with Roland for 8 years but recently he has check out of the relationship and focuses more on work. When Angie meets Cade there an instant pull and connection. He's passionate and all around good guy. Angie and Cade start out as friends and their relationship expands from their. I was not a fan of Roland at all and cr ...more

I loved this book!!! This was my first read by this author but most definitely won't be my last. This author had me reading the whole book without stopping in one sitting. She has a way to pull her readers into character. I think the title described the book perfectly. Angelica met Cade, that perfect man specimen and couldn't stop looking. Cade met Angelica and instant sexual banter and attraction. There were parts that had me laughing, crying and anticipating what would happen next. Never settle ...more

Received an ARC at no cost to author..This was an insta-love between Angie and Cade. Angie had just broken up with boyfriend, but her chemistry to Cade was undeniable and so she got in a relationship with him. Angie was loyal to her family, but she needed to stick up for herself more, thankfully she eventually did. Then there is Cade, who looks like this cocky, hot bartender but carries emotional baggage and it also flawed but aren't we all. We get to meet his brothers briefly, but intriguing us ...more

I am left with a book hangover after this book. Unraveled resonated with something deep down in my soul and I have not been able to break the spell it put me under. The characters are so well defined and their situations are so incredibly written -- doing things for other, afraid to be vulnerable. I am not sure how I am going to recover from this read.

Unraveled is the first book in Mia Kayla's Ryder Boys series, and while there things that I liked about this story, ultimately I had mixed feelings about it. I think that there are a lot of moments here that were great, and readers will enjoy them. But I also felt like there were several things keeping me from loving this story and it was just okay for me in the end.

Angelica thought that she had her life planned out and knew exactly what wou

Unraveled was an amazing way to introduce us to a whole new series! You can’t help but be completely consumed by this book from the very beginning. I find with Mia Kayla’s books I always need to read them twice because 1. I read them way too fast because I want to know what happens and 2. Because one time is just not enough of Cade Ryder.
Angie and Cade.. where to even begin! Angie is such a great character. Is she perfect? Absolutely not! At times she drove me crazy but that’s what I ended up l

I had previously read Mia Kayla's Torn duet, so I knew I liked her writing style. And she has a way of telling a story so that you truly care about these flawed characters. That was most certainly the case with Unraveled, as well.

Angie had been with her boyfriend, Roland, since they were sixteen years old, but there was something missing in their relationship now. Priorities had shifted, and she was no longer happy with the status quo. So she ends things with Roland, who has a difficult time ac
