Rate this book
Marking the 50th anniversary of the partition of India and Pakistan, A Tainted Dawn tells the tales of ordinary people who found themselves trapped on the wrong side of the hastily drawn borders in 1947.
Pali, a Hindu boy, is separated from his parents and raised as a Muslim; Laurie, a young medical student, finds her secular ideals questioned in love; and a civil servant flees on the last train across the divide.
