I think I may be a little bit dead. This book quite literally suffocated me with a pillow of happiness and love. In my deceased state, I am thoroughly incapable of doing the words for good sentences, so have a list of reasons why Act Your Age, Eve Brown was delightful, lovely, and all-around wonderful instead:
-it's cute as fuck
-like, I was a smiling mess the whole time
-eve brown is an absolute gem
-jacob wayne is.........jacob wayne
-flawlessly executed o ...more

The plot follows Eve and Jacob. Eve wants to prove herself to her family, and show that she isn't spoiled and that she can hold down a job and not give up. Enter Jacob, and his bed and breakfast. He's desperate for a new cook, and when Eve just so happens to show up (and hit him with her car), he's stuck hiring her.
The plot is simple and straightforward: two complete opposites are forced ...more
The good news: Talia Hibbert ended things on a HIGH AF note because she continues to bless us every single damn day.
Take a Hint, Dani Brown, the second book in this series, was always going to be a tough act to follow, but I think Eve Brown's story somehow did it. Hibbert is truly a queen, legend, and icon when it comes to snappy dialogue and crisp banter, and the agitation and long-simmering tension between Eve and ...more
The Brown Sisters series has been such a bright light in an overall bad (reading) year and I'm so happy that I've discovered it. While Take a Hint, Dani Brown is still my favorite, Act Your Age, Eve Brown is a very cute conclusion to this series. If you loved the other books in this series, this book won't disappoint you.
"What?" she asked, rising on one elbow to look down at him. The lavender fall of her hair spilled across his chest, and her eyes were like starlit night. "I'...more

I JUST SAW THE COVERRRRR 😍
Also, apart from being another #ownvoices interracial romance, the characters are both autistic !!

This final installment was a grumpy/sunshine delight of a matchup. These are two such very different characters and their first interaction, quickly followed by disaster, certainly set the tone for their wee bicker banter battles. The ...more
Ahh this was so cute!!
I love this Slytherin/Hufflepuff duo! I laughed out loud, grinned at my screen and just honestly felt so many happy feelings while reading their romance. I do wish that we got more of them as a couple as I feel like things moved pretty fast once they decided to move fast friendship and I also wish there was more of an epilogue for all the characters as I *believe* this is the last book in the series but nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
Also as a side n ...more
TL;DR: Please please please pre-order and read this. Ok? Thanks.

Eve is facing a dilemma where she feels like a failure even though she knows she's lucky to have all these opportunities in the first place, coming from a privileged background. My baby needs a hug.

The autistic rep in this book is so special. I've only seen a book where both the main character and the love interest are autistic once before, and never in trad pub. It was amazing to see how this worked.

Eve Brown, the baby sister might be my favorite of the trio. They are all equally lovable but I found myself relating to Eve a lot. Her feelings of being lost and not knowing how to find her passion in life, the feeling of not quite fitting in anywhere. And while most of the time she’s sunshine and glitter ...more
Welp, it is official. The Brown Sisters are delightful. De.Light.Ful.
Should I go ahead and say this is my favorite? Yes, I think I should. This was my favorite.
Jacob and Even were amazing characters. I just wanted to cuddle them up and mother them to death.
They had such great obsticles to overcome (you know what I mean....I'm not trying to be ugly). In addition....the setting oh, the setting. I loved the Lake district. It ha ...more
We’ve met Eve in the previous books of The Brown Sisters trilogy by Talia Hibbert. She’s the little sister, and, as the blurb says, she’s a certified hot mess. Until she accidentally runs over Jacob, the owner of a small town B&B, and she gets herself into a cooking job she actually enjoys.
This book was a total delight. It was excellent, as the other two books in the trilogy, and this is a very special thing to say since it was really hard to re ...more
