Very interesting history of Bahrain especially since it is written by a member of the Royal Family.

The book was authored by King Hamad bin Isa, the current King of Bahrain, back in 1986 when he was the Crown Prince & Heir Apparent. It provides an insightful view into the history of wars in Bahrain (briefly), the founding and development of Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) and the King's perspective on the political, economic, social and military problems the GCC countries had to face in 1995 (when this book was published in English) and will have to face in the future.
