I got an ARC of this book.

This book shows that Rollins is capable of creating a vivid world and flawed characters. There are issues in the world that were just being hinted at in the last book, but this book has so much more to offer on the subject. Immigrants and those that are poor aren't worthy of being protected, according to the judges of the city. Yet somehow Jasper who is barely known or respected has to find a way to save someone he is fallin

This book was easily the best of the series! I adored it and the clever interplay between a dancer of Chinese descent and a up and coming photographer who just barely avoided ending up on the streets. The use of ghosts as a paranormal element mixed in with the victorian/steam punk setting was epic and between the smooth plot and solid romance, I'd read anything L.G. Rollins chooses to write! ...more

Stolen Bloodlines

This was an interesting story line. The characters were realistic, discussions of family history, and solving the mystery. Enjoy following along.

The blurb for Stolen Bloodline caught my attention. Not only because it was Jasper’s story but because of Ju. Those two paragraphs made me want to read Stolen Bloodline. I wanted to see who the lucky lady was that caught (and held) Jasper’s attention. I also wanted to see if his story was as good as Tressa. I was pleased with both.

Stolen Bloodline has an exciting couple of plot lines. Jasper is an artist who is starting to become famous. The Chinese Ambassador, Leng, approaches Jasper at one of

Your past, present, and potential future shapes who you are and what you could become, but when parts of that are obscured, treading toward success could be difficult, as it is for two young people in Stolen Bloodline by L.G. Rollins.

~First, I’ll state that I received this set as a gift from the author to read and review.
~I think the story line of this book was much more of the romance than any of the other books in this series. The series is in a Victorian setting, so everyone Gentlemen and Lady, are acting properly and as society demands. However, in “Stolen Bloodline”, there is more of the hesitation, does he care for me? …do I dare speak what I feel to her? …we are friends, just

This is the fourth book in the Steam and Shadow Series, however, all of these books can be read as stand-alones. This book picks up 3 months after Clockwork Image. I was so happy that we get a book about Jasper I really liked his character so much in Clockwork Image! This book happens in a little over a month.

I really liked this book once I started reading it I did not want to stop. This book definitely had enough action to keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time. I liked Ju and how t

Ju and Jasper and steampunk

An interesting story with some quirky characters. I enjoyed the references to alternate belief systems.
A few spelling / editing errors but they barely distracted from the story.

For L. G. Rollins, conversations regarding Schrodinger’s cat, the effects of scientific advancements on politics, and whether Infinity is better categorized as a number or an idea are all quite commonplace. To be short, she is an unapologetic nerd. Mix in her love of whimsy and the unusual, and you get Steam and Shadow, a steampunk series of science, sweet romance, and unexpected adventures.
