Dwayne J. Clark is the co-founder and CEO of Aegis Living, which has more than 30 senior living facilities in the Western United States. Clark and Aegis Living have been widely recognized for their excellence of care to residents and employees alike, by receiving a wide variety of awards including The Family Business Growth Award by Seattle Business Magazine, Top 50 Best Places to Work by Glassdoor, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, and the Lifetime Achievement Award from Senior Services. Dwayne is also the founder of True Productions, a production company aimed at sharing real-life stories through collaboration with writers, filmmakers, and playwrights. Among others, Clark was the producer for the documentary Full Court: The Spencer Haywood Story and executive producer for the award-winning film Big Sonia. Clark's talents extend beyond filmmaking to writing. He wrote and produced the play Seven Ways to Get There and has authored several books including A Big Life and My Mother, My Son.
Overall good read! What I loved about this book is that it emphasizes the importance of staying curious at any age, but especially as we grow older...important not only for your metal wellness but also for your physical health. Mr. Clark related to his audience well and his personal life touches feel genuine and earnest. Additionally, he discusses how to live a more purpose-driven life, and how that can improve your health tremendously as well. Of course this book also has tons of fresh tips in what you'd expect to read about: diet and exercise. There's some good science behind his perspectives and tips too!
My mother just recently started at an Aegis living community, and after doing research on their founder, I stumbled onto this book. It looked interesting so I thought I'd give it a try. I wasn't too sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of useful info and tips I found, not only for my mother, but for myself as well! This book is so well-rounded, from personal touches, to science-based info, to small things you can implement on a daily basis to improve your life and live longer. A great read.
Great book! Easy read. Contains lots of helpful tips and information. Also written in a way that someone who is busy (like so many of us) can easily digest the information. Highly recommend!
I have studied psychology myself and read many self-improvement books, and I do find this one stands out among many of the others. First of all, it is eminently readable and interesting. The author not only advises the reader of good habits they should adopt, but he gives the psychology behind them. He explains the reasoning rather than just telling you what to do, in other words. I found this refreshing. These longevity habits are also easy to follow! He breaks everything into microhabits which are easy to follow.
This was truly an eye opener for me. I never thought this book will be filled with so many insights about living a positive and balanced life. It's not a regular health book with tips but much than that. Amazing how the author has used his personal life examples to create an impact. Once I started reading I could not keep it down and kept going back to reading it. It's amazing, get your copy. You won't regret.
I didn't know what to expect when I picked up this book from my mom's coffee table. I'm always a little leary of her getting caught up in hooky, quick fix, health books. Boy was I surprised. This isn't a book for people who are old. (No offense Mom!) It's a book about living a purposeful life. Dwayne does a great job of weaving engaging stories with his life tips. I'm glad my Mom read this book. And I always love being surprised in a good way.
Truly enjoyed this read. The Author has delivered a total-wellness approach to healthy living and aging. I especially appreciated the micro-habits that I can incorporate into my daily life! Easy to follow, with great information and personal touches. Do yourself a favor and give this book a try, you won't be disappointed!
Dwayne J Clark is not just a wonderful author, but his personal story is very inspirational as well. As far as 30 Summers More is concerned, Dwayne hits the mark. From cover to cover this book covers different ways live a fuller, healthier and longer life. I LOVED the" micro-habits", as well as the tips on improving sleep, and decreasing stress. Thanks Dwayne, for a great read. I'll definitely be implementing some of what I leaned in my day-today.
30 Summers More: Adding Time Back to Your Ageing Clock by Dwayne J. Clark is a very well written life improvement book. This book is intelligent, wise and packed to the rafters with practical common-sense advice. It becomes obvious as you read through this page turner that the author is imparting his wisdom and understanding as to what health and happiness really means. It’s an excellent guide for putting things into perspective.
The overall tone was simply imparting knowledge, personal experience and wisdom in a gentle and generous way. The authors words will help to better equip you to interpret and handle life in a whole new way, which in turn will bring peace, love and joy into your life. If you are looking for inspiration and encouragement in the face of serious health issues, this would come highly recommended from me.
No matter what your situation is today, this book will put you on the right path to better things. This wonderful book will show you how to properly tune into life and the simple steps you must follow to achieve this. The author must be commended for his time and effort for producing such an insightful and practical book.

I was a bit skeptical when I first picked up this book, as there are sooo many books on healthy living out there, but I was very pleasantly surprised at the amount of NEW information about healthy living and aging I found! I especially enjoyed how the author, Dwayne, relates his personal experiences, as well as how he breaks down the science and myths of certain lifestyle practices and trends. From diet and exercise to meditation and sleep, this book has great information to live longer and become a happier and healthier person.
30 Summers More is a must read for those that are passionate about living life to its fullest! Insightful and practical, 30 Summer's lays out the road map for longevity. I love how Dwayne weaves his travels into the pursuit of a purposeful and meaning life.

Great book to encourage and motivate you, your family members, and your friends that you want to share the next 30 plus years with enjoying life! The book is very well-written and Mr. Clark uses an organized pattern to introduce, explain, and summarize components to help you optimize your actions to improve healthy practices. Easy to read and practices can be implemented immediately-you can begin with each chapter - to increase healthy practices! His quote "We shape our future health every day..." emphasizes we are in control of our actions to make great choices and he gives plenty of ideas to put into place. I also applaud Dwayne Clark for donating proceeds to charity, American Diabetes Association, which will help many individuals. My grandmother is in an Aegis home, and that's how I found out about this book. I loved it so much I bought a copy for my grandma so she can hopefully be around a little longer. I learned a lot and will be applying some of the "micro-habits" to my life starting today! Good read and I know I'm going to be a healthier person for doing so.
This book absolutely lived up to my high expectations, considering my mom is in an Aegis community. Dwayne J. Clark really wowed me his clearly vast knowledge of aging and longevity. I learned a great deal and loved that there was science behind this book as well. I would definitely recommend this book.
