Angel Academy #2

In My Blood

Rate this book

Fight demons. Fall in love. Save the world.

Welcome to Angel Academy.

My name is Celeste Venoix, and my second year at the Angel Academy has been insane.

Between training for battle and juggling coursework, I’ve been busier than ever. And on top of that, I’ve got a Prince of Hell breathing down my neck, and I think I’m falling for a guy who I’m pretty sure is an asshole.

Oh, and my long, lost sister has decided to enroll at the academy this year, too.

What the hell?

I have no idea what she wants, but as long as she stays out of my way, everything will be just fine. But of course, she doesn’t stay out of my way. And of course, she’s apparently trying to ruin my life.

She keeps flirting with the guy I’m in love with, and she won’t stop talking about us taking over the world together.

Ugh.

I have no idea how I’m going to get through the school-year, but at least I have my guys and I hope that’s enough.

And honestly? I’m just hoping I survive until the end of the school-year.

God.

Here we go again.

This story is still just as good as the first and more involved. Celeste is still figuring out her feelings for her three men. Can she have a relationship with all three men? Why is her sister Trinity at the school? Will she hurt the guys? Will they the men accept me with all of them? Wil I ever be able to fight the Princes? Why is the council asking questions?

I love her parents! Trinity is as bad as I thought she'd be. Glad the harem dynamics are worked out now. The God's Gift thing is cool. Wish there was more actual academy stuff, but what can you do, I guess? The books are short and RH. I'm glad book three is already out! 3.5 stars.

This is the second book in the series and it is fantastic to read.
So fresh and fun at the same time.
I really like the characters that have been created and their personalities.
Really loving the plot and story line as well.
Can't wait to read more of these.
Recommend reading.

Whilst not making me squeal with joy I find I am unable to put this series down so far. It’s got everything a story needs, a fiesty heroine, some hot guys, action adventure secrets and unanswered questions. I am enjoying it immensely but for me it is lacking a little something so I cannot give it five stars but it’s certainly still a great story and I am about to dive into book three!

Love is the key to the kingdom of heaven’s power. Celeste is now in her second year at the Angel’s Academy and finds herself glowing after making out with her three love interests. She meets her sister Trinity and things are weird for her. Her quest to find out who she truly is continues in the second instalment for Angel Academy, a paranormal reverse harem series.

The storyline flows smoothly as the author weaves together challenges, surprises, danger, sibling rivalry, romance and explicit sexual scenes. The characters are well crafted, interesting and engaging. The story is well written and easy to read but difficult to put down. I read this book in one sitting. The dialogue is interesting and the narrative well done. I look forward to book three.

I still have no idea where this romance is going. But I’m enjoyed everything else about this books still so that’s a plus. I’m interested to see how the story progresses in books 2 and 3 and what the main character will decide to do. I can’t wait for the final battle! I don’t really like her sister that much at the moment but maybe she will redeem herself... maybe... I hope I can get to book 3 soon!

I enjoyed this story. It was a fairly entertaining read. This one picks up months after the first one ends. I would recommend reading the first book prior to this one as I believe it will help give details to make this book more enjoyable. This book does continue on the same story line as the first book. Celeste has learned of some crazy things regarding her parentage and the fact that she has a sister. A sister that shows up at the angel academy but neither one says that they know who the other is. There are a lot of secrets in this installment of the series as we try and follow what everyone is doing and what they know. The Princes of Hell are still causing trouble and everyone is trying to figure out what their ultimate goal is along with what the Angel Council is going to do. I was fairly entertained with this story though not overly impressed. It was an okay read, it just did not grab my attention the same way. It is written pretty well and it does flow pretty smooth. This story does have some fairly explicit sex and there are some group sex scenes as well. Nothing over the top and it definitely plays a part in the story. It will be interesting to see how things play out from here.

FREAKING FANTASTIC!!!
Freaking unbelievable! Riley broke the mold, hid the pieces, then remade it in titanium. If you're looking for one non-stop, action packed, fast paced, hard hitting, pulse racing, page flipping bombshell that grips you so tightly on a razors edge catapulting this baby to life spectacularly. Congratulations my friends you've struck the motherload. One totally engaging, mesmerizing, enthralling wonder that captures your attention from start to finish. Sparks fly as perilous drama, contrived mishaps, inadvertent events with nerve racking danger and electrifying suspense blow this baby wide open. The characters are authentic, approachable and realistic with such depth and individuality it flows along fluidly without a glitch. The secondary characters are animated and relatable and blend smoothly with the primary. The scenes are so vividly detailed and descriptive it gives the illusion you were along for the ride. Remarkable job Riley, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.

Celeste Venoix had made it to her second year at the Angel Academy. Scrolling through his phone, Charlie Collins told Celeste that her favorite band was playing at one of the festivals. Unfortunately, she had a test that day and would have to lie to get out of it – but she was an angel, so lying wasn’t really a good plan. Charlie kissed her and told her he was there to keep her safe. Then they were interrupted by Zachary.

Celeste, Charlie, Benjamin and Zachary are making every effort to be on the winning side and do the right thing. Then Trinity, Celeste's long-lost evil sister, enrolls at the Academy and makes things uncomfortable with her crazy plans. Putting Celeste off-balance is the fact that she is having some difficulty fighting her attraction to Zach, her powers are growing and need to be managed, and she even gets taken to Hell! It’s likewise a shocker to find out that her powers seem to increase after she spends some quality time with her guys! What a way to charge your battery! With more and more going on, you’ll need to grab your copy of the book and dig in!

Such FUN!

I am really loving this series! In this book Celeste and her band of guys slowly learn more about who she is and what possible powers she has. We also met Trinity who is supposedly her younger, more sinister sister. Whereas Celeste cares about people and their well being...suffice to say Trinity is only our for number one. The Council is investigating Celeste, she keeps seeing memories...or possibly dreams. This is all just so much for an abandoned foster kid that grew up from nothing. I for one think she might be special....in a way that could eventually have The Council eating their words and thanking her. My guess is a big event will happen in book three. I adore how feisty Celeste is. She always stands for those she loves, sticks up for the weak, downtrodden, injured and young...all while having a wicked funny attitude and heart of gold. I dare you not to see the brightness within this amazing female! I for one can't wait for book three as I devoured books 1 & 2 in a few hours!

A big pass from me

I kind of like the first book. Not because it was different..because it wasn't. This is just another Lucifer's daughter story. All slightly different but pretty much the same. Still, the first was written well and the characters intrigued me.
This one? No.
The book is short. Not much really happens til the last 10%. And then it's a quick few pages and wrapped up. The drama in this book was completely unnecessary. I thought maybe drama between zach and the mc would be interesting but it never happened.
The mc essentially doesn't tell anyone about her sister who is walking amongst them and even flirting with her best friend. Never says a word. One would think that that would be information to share with the class but no. In order to further the drama she says nothing. And that is essentially the whole book. Even the sex scenes felt repetitive and lack luster.
A disappointment after the first book. But hey, the writing is there. It flows and the speech isnt choppy. So points for that!

Ok. 2 1/2*

This book was just ok for me. There are things that just don't sit right with me and I just can't get past what I would consider plot holes in this story. I am sure there will be people who like this book so I do not want to spoil it for them by revealing too much of the plot, I just will say that it doesn't flow as well as it should and things that you think Celeste would tell certain people she doesn't even consider it. I was a bit disappointed in this one and I don't see it getting better in the next book. I can forgive to an extent poor editing in books, but with where I see errors in the story that prevent you from believing in the characters and story then I have had to give this one just 2 1/2 stars.

There is a new transfer to the academy today and when Celeste heard who it was Celeste wanted to scream it seems that her sister Trinity has turned up and she looks just like their father Lucifer but does Trinity know anything about Celeste or Trinity’s real father?. Zachary tells Celeste that he can feel demonic energy in the air so they go and look for this demon, Celeste and Charlie find Belphegor one of the weakest princes of hell but he nearly managed to kill Celeste and Charlie and he would of if it wasn’t for Trinity she came in and saved Celeste’s life. I’m not going to get too much into this story but it’s a fantastic read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

In My Blood: Angel Academy Year 2 by Riley London is the second book in the Angel Academy series. In this book, Celeste finally meets her sister Trinity when she shows up to attend the American Angel Academy. However, there is something strange about Trinity and what she wants Celeste to do. In the mean while things drastically change for Celeste when she is attacked by a prince of hell and she almost dies. This book has several mysteries that Celeste is trying to uncover all the while learning to control her angelic powers. This book was full of suspense and exciting situations that made it a very entertaining read. I love the world building and interesting characters that are in this story. In My Blood: Angel Academy Year 2 is a suspense filled, mysterious, sexy read.

Celeste was hoping that her second year and the Academy would be much smoother, no such luck. One of the Princes of Hell knows who she is and bargains for her cooperation. Out of the blue, her sister enrolls in the Academy and she makes a point of flirting with the love of Celeste's life, trying to force Celeste to cooperate with her plans to take over. Celeste will keep up her training and course work, and then she is yanked out of the school for an unexpected, and forced hiatus.

Sexy, exciting, kick-butt, and unique characters who are beginning to wonder if it will be up the group, mostly Celeste, to save the Academy, the world, and heaven from the demons and Princes of Hell. Fantastic book.

This is the second book in this series, and so much happens in this book.

You finally get a bit more of the reverse harem part of this book if you know what I mean ;)

Zachary and Celeste find that they get along better in bed. And sweet Benjie finally puts down the books and joins the party.

But Benjie and Charlie are hiding things and when Celeste finds out heads will roll.

We also meet Trinity’s and find out what she wants Celeste for.

Overall this book in intense and full of so much! You will have to read it to find out the whole story. I can’t wait for the next book.

Love this! Things are heating up for Celeste in more ways than one! Her evil sister has enrolled at the Academy, she finds herself unable to fight the attractions with Zach, her powers are growing and to top it all off she gets taken to Hell...literally! The guys have been working on something behind her back, and while that drives her nuts, finding out that her powers seem to amplify after she is "with" her guys is a perk! The intrigue, secrets and passion are amped up and by the time you get to the end you are craving the next book!!

A lot happens in this series as Celeste meets her sister (who is incidentally trying to rope her into dominating the world), she also meets her parents (who give up everything for a chance to be with her), she finally learns how to fly (though she still can't see her wings), she faces the council (who try to make an example out of her and fail) and much much more.

What a blockbuster!!! Can't wait for book 3!!!

Celeste starts her second year at the Academy, and if she thought things would smooth out she's in for a great disappointment. A new student arriving will turn her world upside down and the plot thickens. I won't say more to avoid spoilers, but if you've read the first installment of the series, be prepared for more mystery, suspense and intrigue, tons of action and sizzling moments between Celest and her guys. An excellent addition to the series and I'm anxiously waiting for the next book!

A Fantastic Plot Thickens

This book has finally brought a purpose to Celeste. How she derived that understanding has proven to be a fine piece of writing. The author has knit a great tale using both Heaven and Hell as background material. The relationship is now almost fully developed between Celeste and her men friends which has enhanced her powers considerably and brought a strong direction for the next installment. I have really enjoyed this tale and am sure others would also. It’s an effortless read rich in fun and imagination.

I am seriously and absolutely so in love with this series and all the characters. I was so excited for this one and once I started I did not put down until the end. In the last book she found out who she was. This one is trying to figure out how to embrace both sides of her. I love that in this one her relationship with all her guys progresses more and how they all care for each other. Such a good series and I can not wait for more to see how all things go!

Second book in the series and just as good as the first. Celeste, Charlie, Benjamin and Zachary are once again trying to fight for the good. When Trinity who is Celeste's long lost sister shows up at the academy will that be a good thing or bad?? Once again this book is action packed then you add in a little bit of steam and you have a very enjoyable read. I'm looking forward to the next book now that we know a little more of Celeste's abilities to see where this group will go from here.

Okay I really liked this book in the series. Celeste is working out her kinks in her relationships. Her parents are awesome, and as for her sister Trinity my opinion is still up in the air. Riley London brings us a story that pulls you in and keeps you turning pages to the very end. The books are short but well worth the read!

Sweet

Still a very sweet tale. Not much in the kit department still. Stram definitely amped up, which I'll never complain about. Cute and sweet still. Really more of a YA with steamier scenes. Which it may be. Wish books had raring systems like movies or video games. It would be easier to know what is what.

Good read

This was a great addition to the series. A good plot with fantastic characters. It's short and seemed a little rushed and there's not a building of relationships it's just there one day and it's not really romantic.
