Coop
Becky is life. She's the sunshine that lights up my world. But for some reason, I just can't seem to fully commit. Everything in my head is screwing with me, and if I don't figure it out soon, I'll lose her. And to make matters worse, my sweet angel of a daughter has turned into a rebellious seventeen year old that is doing everything in her power to kill me. Something's gotta give or I'm going to lose everything I've fought for in my life.

Becky
Coop has always been a mystery, but he was my mystery. Now, though, I can't take any more. I want him, but I want all of him. If he can't let me in, I can't stick around. I need the whole man, not just the pieces he's willing to give me. But even if I get him, can I hold onto him? He's the one thing I want most in this world, but I have a feeling that things aren't going to go my way.

I'm a stay at home mom with a love for romance novels. There's nothing better than reading about a hot, alpha male that makes my heart swoon. I spend most days hanging out with my kids or writing about my next book boyfriend. I love crocheting, sewing, reading, and being outdoors, but in the end, there is nothing better than getting lost in a good book!

Coop has everything!

This book was amazingly good. The first half was funny and heartwarming and absolutely hilarious at times. I just loved the camaraderie between the guys at Reed Security. The ribbing they give each other, the names they call each other and the inside jokes they all have. I love books like this, it makes you feel like you are watching an episode of friends in a way, like you are hanging out with a bunch of old friends that are just fun to be with.

This book though was not all fun and games, I think that is one think that Giulia Lagomarsino is really good at. She can inject hilarity into a book that has some great action, serious themes, steamy romance and even crazy psychotic things going on. This book had a bit of everything and not one part of it was any less for the addition of another. I loved it all.

I gave the last book, Rocco five stars and thought that one was fantastic but this one was even better. If I could give it more stars I would. It is funnier than ever how these big tough men who don’t want to get p*ssy whipped like their fallen comrades keep going down one after another. They tease each other about losing their man cards but each book has one more guy going down the same path.

This book is about Daniel “Coop” Cooper and Becky Harding who have been dating for a while. Becky used to work for Reed Security but recently quit and decided to get some space from being around Coop 24/7. They are still dating be she is starting to get fed up with the fact that the relationship isn’t moving forward.

Coop won’t open up and let her in. He was in an accident during his time in the military and was burned on his back and legs and part of his arm. He doesn’t take his clothes off when they are intimate at doesn’t want Becky to touch him, he doesn’t even look at her during the act. There are quite a few issues they have to work out within their relationship.

Coop also has a seventeen year old daughter, Kayla who is acting up. She grew up while they were on the run from a psychopath and they currently live on the Reed Security compound and stay in the panic room at night. Coop is still very paranoid even though Adams, the psycho they were running from is dead and gone. Kayla just wants to be a normal teenager and have friends and a boyfriend and hang out but instead Coop keeps her basically barricaded in the compound for her own safety. So she has been rebelling by sneaking out whenever she can.

There are quite a few different storylines in this book and all the feels from humor to heartbreak, from outrageous happiness to overwhelming guilt and more than one bloodbath in the mix so be prepared and there are a few tiggers as well so be warned. But it is quite a ride and I plan to go back and get to all the Reed Security books I haven’t read yet, beginning at book one since this is now one of my favorite series.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

Becky's finally had enough of her on again off again love's phobia of commitment. To save her heart, she needs to quit her job at Reed Security, and walk away from them and from Coop. But it will be harder to do that than she might have realized, considering there's someone after her, after them, oh who knows who exactly.

Coop has spent his relationship with Becky pushing her away and pulling her closer, never letting Becky in, never giving her all of himself, and it's finally going to bite him in the butt because she's done. Will Coop ever take his head out of his ass and see just what he could have with Becky if he'd let her into his heart?!

Damn but Coop is a frustrating man! But I loved Becky and his story. It's got that push and pull I love when it's not too much, it's sexy, and the two make a great couple once they figure their shit out. The Reed Security team is such a fascinating, exciting series and Coop just makes it all the better.

Having read all the books to date, you can either read them alone or want to know more about each of the other characters and trust me you will want to. I started on the first in the series and I can't stop, I look forward to each of their stories and the future of Reed Security. The author draws you in from the start, you don't know what each book will entail but they all share the same feelings and/or thoughts we have with the connects we make in our lives. Through it all, no matter what you'll feel like you're a part of the book, you'll feel the same things or understand them. If you're anything like me, I have a little bit of all them in me. I truly suggest you read each one from the start of the series and the men and women within it. I started with Sinner and went on from there. You can't just read one and move on to another book, oh no, you need to read the next one and the one after that, so on as you find out all the little bits of each character you begin to see the whole story of the series and those behind it. Each character brings their own bit to and and you want to know more. Don't forget to read the series For the Love of a Good Woman with the other men involved in the series. I can't wait for the next book to come out. This is a series that's very intense you can relate to it at some point in your life, the trials and tribulations that they go through, is something either you or someone you know has. I've been totally pulled in by the author and you will be to. With Coop, it's always his daughter first and always will be. While the woman in his life takes time to get him warmed up, Becky is the perfect person to do that. They have their moments and their world gets shaken by things that happen but there is always a reason things happen. We learn from those reasons and either grow or let them take over our lives.

Coop was a bit more serious side than the majority of other Reed Security stories, and I'm still really emotional to be honest. Coop has had some things happen to him, things beyond his control, but they shaped him in to a man with walls like no other. He has a thing going with Becky, who has recently left working for the company, because she really wants to move on with her life, and while they have some big chemistry, he's still not letting her in for anything. And finally, when he's starting to, she makes a decision that really has some big consequences. Man, I was legit crying by this point, and there was nothing that anyone could do to stop it, and Ms. Lagomarsino really staked my heart. I temporarily forgot how she could do that to me, and man, I'm tearing up all over again. It made for some big twists that not only had me dropping f-bombs, but again with those pesky tears. Y'all HAVE to hit those one click buttons, because you don't want miss out, but have some tissue handy! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Another Reed Security Man goes down.

Loved everything g about this book. Becky is an awesome woman and very talented. Cool is a hot Alpha male with e.optional baggage. The two together are combustible. There are areas surrounding his daughter that they disagree on and Becky does help her sneak out of the bunker. The end is Rockland makes you heart happy after all the sadness.

Eh. 3 items took down the rating

I was actually really enjoying this book at the beginning and then it just took a couple of dark turns that I just was not on board with overall. But I'll give out spoilers on those items in a minute (like 5 paragraphs down). But first, some of the story info.

I liked reading how they got together and I enjoyed their journey at the beginning. The struggles he had from his injury and subsequent burns that held him back followed by her realization that she deserves better, was a great story. Her leaving him, so to speak, was the swift kick that he needed to realize he wanted to be with her fully. And the guys of course helped him realize that too.

I enjoyed watching him woo her by driving to her place at night and chatting with her over the phone while she was inside and he was in the car. And I enjoyed him just being there, even if he wasn't talking to her. It was his way of being close and trying to get to the next step.

And when he finally showed himself to her and let her see his scars, she didn't even look at them. She saw him for who he was and he realized that he was more than his scars. So it really was a great story for them in the beginning.

The daughter, Kayla, was definitely an interesting factor as well. Teenage rebellion at its peak, and honestly, I'm surprised it took so long for her to rebel. Dad was definitely overprotective and Becky was trying to learn her role as well. I have a feeling in the next book, or several books, her idea of a training center for women and girls will pan out with Caps blessing. So I do look forward to reading about how that comes about. Assuming it does, seeing as Coop said he would fund it himself if he had to.

I also enjoyed Delaney and her character and her support of Becky. It was her first friend outside of the Reed Security group. And I was glad Becky had her support throughout everything that happened.

Now for the stuff that I did not like and that brought the rating down for me.

1. The 17 year old daughter being raped was unnecessary for the storyline. She could have been attacked and beaten and still had the same outcome of dad's wrath without having to be raped in the book. Anyone hurting his daughter would have seen Coop's rage. And she could have still had the training center for women/girls idea too. She did attack the guys pretty well considering everything that was going on.

2. Coop treating Becky like absolute trash after helping the daughter escape was not cool either. And I'm glad Cap and everyone kicked his arse for it too! It was deserved! She never stopped loving him either. But did struggle with his change of heart (rightfully so). For Coop to decide he loves Becky again after she was attacked and almost died... I felt like she really forgave him too quickly considering how he treated her. 😔 He was seriously the worst guy ever. Threatening her and holding her by her throat and hitting her against the shelves? No, thank you. He needed more groveling to go to win her back. And yes, I get that he was by her side at night when she woke up, but he also left... One foot out the door as Becky pointed out. Sigh.

3. Delaney's death. She didn't need to die. I mean, I'm sure she needed to for Tony's story (the naming conventions on these books are quite ridiculous at this point... Names, nicknames, random names, blah. I can't keep up). But, I really appreciated her as a new character and friend to Becky when she was cast aside by Coop. Delaney had Becky's back the whole time. So for her to die so brutally and then for Becky not even be able to attend the funeral? Horrible aspect. I am expecting the take down of the psychopath to be in the next book. And I'm surprised the old grumpy neighbor didn't catch on to who was doing it. 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️

Those three things were just not what I expected for the series and i felt like they brought down the story.

This story literally chipped little pieces off me, I couldn’t stop thinking of the story long after I finished the story. I had read two books by the author earlier (Sinner and Sean) and I wasn’t a fan of both as there are explicit sex with other women depicted. Thankfully there’s none of that here, but there are other issues.

The story was beautifully written, and I loved the heroine. My heart broke for her. But SPOILERS below - Several incidences of violence against women depicted (including one incident perpetuated by the hero against the heroine).

In a nutshell, the hero’s 17 year old daughter was raped because she snuck out of the compound, and she was helped by the heroine to do so (the heroine felt bad for her as the hero was very strict with his daughter). As a result - he tells her to get lost, blocks her from accessing the compound where he lives and works, and tells their friends not to help her. And because she used to work at the compound herself, all her friends are there and he literally cut her off- the heroine took it really really hard.

The way he treated her - it was horrible. On one hand, we understand why he reacted the way he did. But on the other hand, the way he does it is just terrible and he continues it despite others pointing it out. He squeezes her neck and slams her against shelves in a store; he treated her like she meant nothing to him despite the fact that she loved him so much; in his anger, he said numerous times that he would kill and torture her for what she did; and when she asked for help from one of his colleagues, he told him not to help her.

At this point, I thought he crossed the line. There were many factors that led to his daughter’s rape, the heroine’s role in it was one of them.

Then the heroine is attacked in her own home and almost died. THEN he realized that he almost lost her and wants to love her and be with her again. And this part irritated me, and it seems to be a repetitive pattern with all three of the author’s books I’ve read, which are heroines giving in easily - he pledges his undying love once she wakes up after days in the hospital. And she then accepts him back in a couple of days!!!

This is a man who hurt her so much over what happened with his daughter, and even before that in the early period of their relationship. I would have liked to see her take some time - weeks, even months for herself, to heal physically and emotionally. Ask the hero to leave. It’s not about him anymore. And that really irritated me - why do we write romance like this? What messages are we giving women through these books? I know authors and readers hate separations, heck I do too, but in this book, it’s justified. He literally slammed her against shelves in a store, he saw her at her lowest, broken, and still treated her like shit - he doesn’t get to play hero now. In fact, she should ask the entire team of so-called friends, who never once called her or reached out, to leave as well. That was what I felt was missing. The time she needed for herself after everything that happened. And then time needed to decide if the hero was really who she needed to be with. And that was missing.

3 stars for the heroine and the story overall.

Since these two first met there have been little hints at the possibility of more. During ‘A Mad Reed Security Christmas’ they finally entered a relationship and things seemed to be going in the right direction for Coop and Becky. However, in their book the journey to a HEA is anything but easy.

Coop is still coming to terms with his past and trying to move on but is struggling to do so. As a result, he constantly pushing away any connection with Becky. Coop is really likeable and his history creates for a truly interesting character. You might think you have a good idea of what he is like but when he finally lets Becky in, Giulia gives us a whole new side to him. Becky has been a part of the Reed Security family since the beginning and is certainly a great character so it’s nice to finally see more of her. She’s got strength of character that has already enabled her to take control of her life and do what she needs to so she can find her happiness. This also comes out in the relationship when she takes action to gain the respect, she is worthy of.

The first half of their story is heart-warming as we see them navigate a relationship and Coop work on accepting Becky into all aspect of his life. It’s also funny with Giulia bringing in some of her signature humour when it comes to this cast of this series. Once again, a book in this series has had me laughing and smiling with the camaraderie between the men and some of the things they get up to.

Coop and Becky’s story then takes a turn into the heart-breaking and horrifying territories. In the second half of this book a lot happens and it shows how well Giulia can mix these different aspects together in a way that doesn’t diminish another. We see a different side to more than one character at it could change your opinion of them but it goes to show how multi-dimensional Giulia’s characters are. My heart broke for Coop, Becky, and Kayla (Coop’s daughter) at different parts of this book. One event that requires a trigger warning occurs and it changes the tone and plot of the book. Then just as things start to settle Giulia sends some characters into a deadly situation, after a series of minor events in the book come to their conclusion (trigger warning-), and it will have you on the edge of your seat.

There are multiple storylines occurring in ‘Coop’ and at the end Coop, Becky, and Kayla get their HEA. The journey isn’t easy and will have you experiencing humour, heartache, guilt, fear, and happiness as you read. The writing is phenomenal along with plot. This book is a lot more than a romance and you’ll be unable to put it down once you start.

Coop is a man who has lived through hell and is damaged both physically and mentally. He has a daughter that he is overprotective of and he is member of Reed Security. His main priority is to keep his daughter safe from the world and the bad guys at all costs, however, those costs could make him lose his daughter unless he loosens his reigns on her. He has a girlfriend, but he has a hard time connecting with her and if he doesn’t get himself together, he’s going to lose her too.

Becca is a hacker that used to work for Reed Security but left them to work for an insurance company. She’s bored to death with her new job, but she’s afraid to take the leap to go after what she wants. She has a wild imagination and loves to search deep for answers. Her relationship with Coop is in danger of ending unless he can open himself up to her. She’s had all she can take and gives him an ultimatum. They are starting to work things out and get on track until one fateful night ruins their relationship.

I loved this book. The first part had me laughing at the comradery of the Reed Security guys and the antics and comments they make. It was light and funny, then BOOM! It changed and had me crying and wanting to scream at these guys. It went from light to dark and so intense. I hated to put it down, I needed to find out what was going to happen, who the bad guy was, and if things would ever be the same again. It was full of family support, suspense, twists, and intrigue and I loved every page I read. I give this book a 5-star review and need to make time to go back and read the others in the series. If you like men dangerous men who are a little paranoid, crazy, over the top protective, ex-military, and women are just as dangerous and crazy as the men, then you will love the Reed Security Group. Pick up one these books and read them, you won’t be disappointed. It will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end. I can’t wait for TNT.

Coop is trying to keep Kayla safe, and she's giving him a run for his money. At 17, she wants normal teenage experiences, and the life that she never had when they were on the run. He's been involved with Becky. She recently left Reed Security; feeling too constrained being with him all the time, she has a new job and a new home and roommate. The early part of the book is light and sometimes funny, with banter that borders on hilarious at times. The guys are at their best, teasing each other, reminiscing about good times, friends being friends. The book takes a very dark and dangerous turn, though. The unthinkable happens to Kayla. The weird things happening in Becky's neighborhood seem to be escalating.

Becky is just Becky; although not completely fulfilled in her new position, she's moving forward with plans for a new company. She feels like she and Coop are moving forward as he begins to open up more to her about his past. She takes it really hard when Coop shuns her, and it was hard to see her not care about anything, especially herself. Coop - I've got a real love/hate thing going on with him. He's so frustrating - trying to keep Kayla from growing up, not opening up to Becky, shunning help from the other guys. Without giving anything away, he does (finally!!) redeem himself. Kayla is trying to be a typical teenager, but she's wise beyond her years - asking to see Becky when Coop wouldn't. While we don't have a cliffhanger, some things are not completely resolved... The book is a roller coaster - the 22nd book in a series that seems to have a life of it's own. I can't even imagine how the author keeps all the details straight between characters and other books. Looking forward to the next book.

And she does it again! Giulia Lagomarsino has once again left me feeling all the emotions. Coop is book #22 in the Reed Security series and I loved every bit of it as much as I loved the first one. I have never loved a series with as many books as the Reed Security series like I love it. These characters are something special and amazing and make me fall in love with them all over again with each book. The characters are really what make this series what it is.

Coop is a man with a lot of issue. He's an Army vet trying to move past the terrible things that happen while in war, while raising a teenage daughter as a single father, who just wants freedom. Coop has deep issues that have him keeping Becky at arms length.

Becky is the sweet, caring, strong, feisty woman who started the series doing IT for Reed Security. She loves Cooper and would do anything for him, but everyone has a breaking point. Love can only hold two people together for so long when so many obstacles stand in their way and aren't being addressed.

Cooper and Becky's story had me laughing out loud one minute and crying the next. Coop wouldn't open up to Becky and wouldn't let her touch him on his burns. She felt like she was totally exposed all the time while he was completely hidden. He was still very much paranoid, so much so that him and his daughter lived in a panic room. My heart hurt for Coop, Becky, and Kayla, each of them hurting in different but similar ways.

Coop had several different things happening all of which added to the storyline and had turning page after page. I had to know what came next but hated getting so close to the end. I could stay in the Reed Security world forever.

Giulia Lagomarsino has delivered another well-written, captivating, emotional rollercoaster. I was hooked from start to finish and still need more. This book is gritty, and raw. I felt the pain of these characters deep down in my heart. Coop is filled with real life heartbreaking issues, and Lagomarsino writes them beautifully. Coop my just be my favorite book in this series.

Alec (Reed Security #17)
Storm (Reed Security #18)
Wolf (Reed Security #19)
A Mad Reed Security Christmas (Reed Security, #20)
Rocco (Reed Security #21)

This is Becky and Coop’s story. Becky and Coop want each other but he is holding back. She wants it all, but will he allow her fully into his life and have access to all his secrets? If he does not, he is going to lose her. His daughter is making everything more difficult. He has many secrets and many demons that he will have to uncover before he can move forward. But does he want to? Or will he lose Becky to danger before he can figure out how to commit? Lots of things going on in this story and parts will keep you on the edge of your seat. Secrets are revealed that are disturbing and shocking. But all in all the author keeps the pages turning.

I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. Very emotional story that will have several triggers for some. But all and all it was a great story.

I highly recommend this book.

New life, risk-taking and extremely moving
I loved this story. This opus is extremely well written, very strong and fascinating. This is the continuation of the story of Coop and Becky (already started in "A Mad Reed Security Christmas"). This part is at the beginning, introspective enough for the two of them because they have to make more decisive choices than before and in particular for them too, then it's humorous and dramatic. In short, I went through all the stages of the emotions.
Their relationship was already complex with Coop who wanted Becky without endangering her until she decided to leave and he understood that he wanted to be with her, but without him revealing himself. But the two have a different view of relationships, the needs of the other, security. Where Coop wants a status quo to protect everyone, Becky wants to grow and take risks. However, for Coop, this concern about the people he loves and who want to emancipate is doubled by his daughter Kayla, who will soon be 18 and who begins to want to see beyond the protective walls of Reed Security, and have a normal life.
Moreover, there have been twists and turns in the story because there are quite strange activities that are taking place in Becky's neighborhood.
The story always keeps as much humor, with the big guys from Reed Security who always find it so hard to take a step back from a normal life, and ordinary human relationships too, knowing that their companions are quite unusual too, but at the same time , the dramatic events of this episode are very moving.

This author has quickly become a favorite and this book is another wonderful addition to the series. It can be read as a standalone but I also recommend reading all of the other books in this series. This is Coop’s story and it is filled with drama, action and some growing pains for all involved. Coop has been through the ringer and is struggling to raise his daughter, Kayla, as she is trying to assert her independence. Unfortunately, she grew up as her father was on the run from a psycho, named Adams, although believed to be dead, Coop is having a hard time believing and sees danger in every corner. Attempting to insert some helpful balance between father and daughter is Becky, Coop’s girlfriend. Becky used to work for Reed Security but decided that she needed some distance from Coop to see where their relationship could go, if anywhere. The major hurdle is the fact that Coop is unable to get past the damage he sustained when he was severely burned in a military accident and will not let Becky in. There are quite a few storylines going on at once that readers will become thoroughly engrossed in. One cannot help but fall hard for these characters and the camaraderie that they all share. There are a few triggers so read with caution. Overall, this is one book that will take readers for a wild ride with twists that they will not see coming and once again illustrate the theme of becoming a better man due to the love of a good woman. I highly recommend this book. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this story.

I absolutely love this series set in the world of Reed Security Not only are the guys and girls kick arse operatives but the stories are a wonderful mixture of suspense and drama all overlaid with a wonderful camaraderie between the team Yes they annoy one another but they are hilariously funny together and will do whatever needs to be done to protect one another This is the 22nd book in the series and do yourself a favour read them all and in order you will not be disappointed

This is Coop's story he was badly injured while serving and he knows just how wicked the world can be this mean that he is way over protective of his 17 year old daughter as he tries to make sure she never sees the bad side of life The only thing is he could drive her away if he doesn't slacken the reins a little Meanwhile he is also dealing with a girlfriend who wants more than the dribs and drabs of his life that he gives her Yes he has seen his friends fall one after the other and he wants that himself but can he let Becca into his dark soul. Meanwhile Becca has left Reed security to work for an insurance company and she is seriously thinking of leaving Coop behind as well. What will happen between these two

I can't believe this is book 22 in the Reed Security series. At the rate Giulia Lagomarsino is going, we'll be at book 50 and they will still be great reads. Soon the kids will be able to join their parents as operatives! Each book has an alpha male with a side of possessive craziness and 1 strong woman who loves his crazy.
This book focuses on Coop and Becky, with a side of Kayla, Coop's teenage daughter. Coop suffered from burns in an accident while serving the country. The mental scars are as deep as the physical and he is emotionally closed off. Even though Coop and Becky are in a relationship, because of his emotional distance, she decides she deserves better. This part of the story is about opening up, surviving the twists and turns, and coming out on the other side.
Coop is also dealing with being the father of a 17 year old who wants to spread her wings. And if you've read any other Reed Security book, you know these men may over react just a little. I love these guys, but really.
The book has all the twists, turns, suspense, drama, and laugh out loud moments you've come to expect from these guys. I seriously cannot imagine this series ever ending. Outstanding read as always.

Wow! This book was WOW! Finally an angsty book that really nailed it! I have been dying to read a book with angst where the main characters do not just immediately forgive and forget about hurts caused by the other. And this book nailed it!
Oh Becky! I never knew how much I would ADORE her character until this book! She really had me completely involved with all of her feelings. I almost felt like I went through it all right along with her. I really hope she can come back from all this.
Coop! Oh how my heart went out to him in so many ways. And he put me through the ringer. I loved him at times and hated him in others. Towards the end I was not entirely sure he would be redeemable. But then he really turned it all around.
I really felt this book a great deal more than I thought I would. I never really got too into Becky's character, but this book had me completely turned around and it might just be the best yet!
And, as always, Maggie steps in with the right thing. I just adore her to pieces!
Masterpiece!

It has taken me a while to get back into reading due to a personal loss, but knowing the works of this author, I knew that I would be brought into the folds of Reed Security and that these amazing people would not disappoint me in both their loyalty and their humor. Everyone that has read this series up to this point knows about Coop and his daughter and how they came to be in this wonderful company. We even know of Becky's feelings for him as well as the mutual attraction. Now, we dive head first into their story and watch how she saves him, not from some physical threat but from himself. We hear his story and feel his pain. We watch as they grow as a couple and then watch with widened eyes as their relationship implodes because of one mistake and a headstrong teenager. Question is, can Coop get his head out of his a$$ before he loses Becky forever? Or will he realize his mistake and gets the woman who lights up his life back? Their road is hard and bumpy and and sometimes downright scary but it is a road that you will definitely not regret traveling. I cannot recommend this book more highly. A totally enjoyable and sometimes heartbreaking read.

Becky and Coop have been dating, but Becky can’t help but wonder if Coop will ever truly open up to her. Their relationship is at a standstill, Becky wants Coop to open up to her more, and doesn’t know if that will happen. Becky left Reed Security to get away to have space, but after talking to her roommate, she realises that she does miss both the work and the team members, but that doesn’t solve anything with Coop.
Coop was injured during his time in the military with burns, he doesn’t take his clothes off when they’re intimate, won’t look at Becky or let her touch him. Add to that Kayla used to be with him in everything now feels that she’s against him.
Coop’s trying with Becky but couldn’t help the feeling that there was a danger coming from somewhere. Coop knows he has to keep Becky safe; they keep telling him the danger’s over but is Coop’s feeling right.
The book gives you everything you’ve come to expect from the Reed Security Team and love – the only bad thing about it is you know it’s coming closer to the end of the series.

Oh, I was so excited about Coop's story! What a heck of a start to some background of what Coop has been through! What is Becky doing these days? Is she happy? What does her roommate, Delaney suggest she do? Does she? What happens when she and Coop go to Pittsburg? What does he find when he gets back? What does he do? This was a tough read for me! I was very angry with Coop. I was ready to murder him myself. I was glad when Kayla extended an olive branch to Becky! What happens to Delaney and Becky in their home? Read and see how quickly this becomes not just a romance, but also a suspenseful, murder-mystery. Oh my god!!! The range of emotions I felt reading this story. I will say that at one point, I was bawling so hard I could not breathe....well, maybe more than once.....

I know this series is coming to an end soon. What I have loved about these books is the sense of family with this crazy, quirky lot of characters. Sometimes, there is absolute silliness, sometimes fear & sadness when mortal events occur, but in the end, they have each other. This story focuses on single father Coop, who is struggling to parent his 17 year old daughter Kayla, and Becky, the former IT guru at Reed Security. Coop has a tough time with his relationships with Becky and Kayla. He can’t be vulnerable enough with Becky so their relationship can move forward, and he can’t let go of Kayla enough to allow the 17 year old to grow. Their story strains all their bonds and loyalties when unimaginable events occur because of human errors. This story crushed my feelings, reading about so many people in pain-everyone is affected in some way, and it triggers past events for a few. Beautifully painful story.

Coop & Becky & Kayla

Coop is more than overprotective of his teenage daughter. He has been on the move for most of her life due to threats associated with his job with Reed Security. She's rebelling. He's locking down even tighter. He suffers from PTSD which he will never admit. He doesn't talk and share making their relationship a difficult one.

Becky and Coop have finally gotten together—kinda—after over a year of backing off. Kayla puts Becky in the middle between daughter and father. Their relationship is mostly sex and Becky wants more.

This is a standalone, but if you are a fan of the series you will understand when I say there are several hilarious scenes when all the guys get together. I'll just say girly TV shows. This book is filled with pain, humor, devasting situations, action, and lots of steam. A don't miss new book in a wonderful series. It will require tissues.

First - you can't just start with this book. Well, you could I guess, but you shouldn't! This is book 22 in the Reed Security series. Why do I keep reading the books? They are addicting for one. Giulia Lagomarsino has a knack for bringing the characters to life, they are so real! On of the unique things about her books is that they are really funny, the interaction between all the characters and how they have different personalities. The characters carry over book to book, and grow. You get to "see" the same people over and over, either as the main part of the story or a side character, really getting to know them so to speak. The books also have serious themes, action as well as the romance. Definitely not a cookie cutter type series. Becky and Coop have a lot to overcome, and this book lets you experience all the good and bad. You want to just yell at them sometimes!

Coop is a member of Reed Security and he hasn’t healed from the physical and emotional scars of his past. He is struggling with both the women in his life as his daughter wants her independence while he is determined to keep her safe and his girlfriend Becky is no longer content with a physical only relationship.

Becky met Coop when she worked at Reed Security but was finding it difficult being around him but not truly being with him. She wants more from him and even though the separation is painful she knows that they can’t just go on the way they are.

This story is the complete package as the humor will have you laughing out loud, the emotional will touch your heart, the suspense will have you on the edge of your seat and the characters draw you in. This is a great series and this book is no exception.

Becky thought Coop was moving forward with their relationship but he seems to have reverted back.
After the progress they made with their relationship Becky had started to look forward to a future with Coop but then he seemed to revert back to the old Coop. She find it hard to be back to being someone he sees and spends the night with but with no emotional engagement which is making her feel used. Coop's seventeen year old daughter Kayla has started rebelling against the restrictions place one her and Becky is caught between the two. Then strange things start happening in the neighborhood where she lives.
As with all Giulia Lagomarino's books it is a roller coaster of an action romance with highs and lows in the romance, the action and the emotion depth.

Coop: A Reed Security Series Romance by Giulia Lagomarsino. This story follows the relationship between Coop (Daniel) and Becky. Theirs’ is not an easy relationship; Coop isn’t comfortable in his own skin and has a hard time letting people in. Becky wants more but she’s isn’t quite ready to give up just yet. There are a lot of topics covered in this book and I found it very intense and enjoyable. I have read most of the books in this series, so I have been able to follow along with the other characters that pop up from previous books and that is definitely one of the best parts with this series (other than its FABULOUS!). This one has snarky and loveable characters, lots of drama, and strong plot. I enjoyed this book and the series overall and do recommend it to others. OMG, what a roller coaster of a ride. I have been a huge fan of Giulia’s since the beginning of this series and have loved everyone of the Reed Security men and their stories. This was no exception. True to her form of writing, there’s so much going on all the time. Never a dull moment with theReed Security family. Plenty of humor, lots of angst, steamy romance, a rebellious teenager, overprotective father, rape, and murder. Such an emotional read. My heart broke for.Becky when Coop turned on her so viciously. I wanted to smack him. Then when Becky is attacked so viciously and left for dead, Coop realized how awful he had been and how deeply her truly loved her. I loved it and don’t want this series to end..

Boy did I have a few times of tears with this one, there is more than one situation that will bring you to tears and have your heart break for Coop along with the Reed Security guys along with Becky. This is not only about Coop coming to terms with the man he is scars and all but being a Father to a teenager and working out whether he can love someone as well as Becky also working out what she wants after leaving Reed Security and if Coop is worth all the compromising she does for him, then we have Kayla Coop's daughter who is going through her teenage rebellion stage which is made harder with how she grew up. You have plenty of laughs, frustrations, steamy scenes as well as pain and heart break so get the tissues and wine ready .. oh and it ends on a bit of a cliffy so be warned! 😉

If you're a single parent, you'll certainly have empathy for Coop, even if he doesn't go overboard. Bless his heart, he just wants to keep his daughter safe but as tight as he's holding on and sequestering her, he's going to lose her. Speaking of losing her, he's about to lose his girlfriend as well if he can't open up to her and let her in. She wants more than just a piece of him part-time. She wants it all. If you've been following the Reed Security series, then you know by now nothing goes easy or as planned for these guys and Coop's story is no exception to that rule. Giulia Lagomarsino has filled this book with laughter, camaraderie, hijinks, drama, angst, mystery, romance and love. You'll get a world of feels and all the emotion. It just seems to me, each book seems to get better and better. This book is worth so much more than five stars.
