I'm getting more interested in women's history and this is a great book. There's not huge amounts of detail for each of the women but it certainly covers a lot of ground. I didn't do the quizzes, but it's abook that's definitely worth keeping to read again, and it's the kind of thing where if one of these women comes up in conversation you can go straight to it and look up the details. It is one of those where I've found myself saying 'did you know' quite a lot. Great fun.

While this book is interesting and filled with facts about specific women through out history and, thank goodness, does a decent job on not just focusing on the Western World, I thought it could have used a bit of depth. I would have liked a quick fact section in each person's bio - Name, date of birth, death, etc.

This is a book about famous women in history in different categories like Politics, Arts and Literature, and Pioneers. I really bought it for my great-nieces, but decided to read it myself first. I've read bits and pieces of it over several months. Interesting.

A very good book that discusses the lesser known facts concerning various historical female figures. Separated into sections: arts, politics, warriors, etc it gives short synopsis into their lives. A good, short, informative read.
