'ALARICK' is the first book in Bella Jewel's 'King's Descendant's' series. Flits from past to present time.
Anything this author writes, I will read it, if she re-wrote the phone book I'd read that too!! So when I saw she was dipping her toes back into a new biker series I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. This was one of my most highly anticipated reads this month, and she didn't disappoint.
I was hooked from the get go, inhaled it. Couldn't put it down. Twists and turns that had dev ...more

I really enjoyed this new MC series by Bella Jewel. I was sucked in from the very beginning and I read straight through to the end.
I do have to say that the heroine really did annoy me at times, but that seems to happen to me a lot, since I am so harsh on my heroines :P She was definitely not my favorite Bella Jewel heroine. She came across as a bit whiny and judgy. I hated her for how she tried to make Alarick turn his back against his dad and his club. Thankfully he didn't listen to her immat ...more

Alarick is book 1 in the King's Descendants MC and it was a fantastic start to a new series by Bella Jewel. Before I begin I will admit I wasn't loving the one chapter in the present then the next chapter in the past but after a few chapters it really started working for me. I felt it helped understand Alarick's behavior towards Briella when she returns and it gives us a picture of their lives together starting from when she is 10 and he is 17. I loved Alarick, he was there for Briella ...more

CLIFFHANGER!
"How many men have had their lips on what's mine since you left?"
"Flick," I whimper. "That doesn't matter." "How many, Briella?" "Two." He growls, and then his mouth drops lower, and he's diving into my pussy with a ferocity that is a little alarming.
"Dad always used to say to me, you can fuck a million women, and it'll feel great, but when you fuck the woman you love, no feeling will ever match it. He was right."

Left Hanging
The book was interesting however I'm not to keen on the past/future way of writing. I don't like going back and forth.
It's was good to see her get her surgery and the man. But I've never heard of getting results of a tumor back that fast.
Now that King visited her you're left wondering if her mom will be alive. But that is how the Author leaves you hanging just wish the were upfront and said it was a Cliffhanger. Ugh I hate that!

Ohhhhhkayyyy looks like I’ll be binging whatever books in this series happen to be out. I stumbled upon this while crushing the KU section looking for a read. I’m not even sure what made me decide to check this out to be honest, maybe it was my inner bookaholic senses telling me I should one click. If that’s the case then I shall never doubt my senses again.

I have to say that this was a nice surprise. My heart broke for Briella. She lost everything and on top of it she is sick as well.
Now she went home to find her sister and that didn't go as well either, but at least she was home with her family. Even though that family was a bunch of bikers. She knew she was where she was meant to be.
Now all she needed to do was find her sister and sort out the trouble she has find herself in.

Alarick tends to give people whiplash, or he just doesn't like others seeing his woman, “what do you think you’re doin’ walkin’ around wearin’ that,” he growls, low." I loved when he was all about reassuring his woman, "...and he grabs my chin, leaning down close. "You could have no fuckin' hair, and I'd think you were the most beautiful girl in this universe. Do you hear me?" I liked this book, I liked Alarick.

I started Alarick about an hour before I had to be somewhere and I did not want to put it down. There is so much potential in this series that I am super excited for. Alarick is the perfect starter for a new MC series.
First of all, the story is told between the past and the present, which sometimes can be difficult to follow but I thought Jewel did it right. I will admit that sometimes I felt like there might have been more of the past than needed but in the end, it set up everything the way it ...more

Wish there was more to it...
This book is short. And on the last page you find out it’s only book one of a at least two.
I have loved this authors previous MC series. Especially her first one. This one felt undeveloped. With MC books, I love the group individuals that come out and play a huge role within that. You don’t really get that here so much. The characters are also so flat, under-developed and cliche. Even the way that Alrick spoke without pronouns throughout.

This is the first in a new MC series. Alarick and Briella are estranged but grew up together when her mom married his dad. Alarick is now the president of the MC. His father is gone.
This definitely a friends to enemies to friends to lovers tale. Lots of baggage between these two. Alarick does not treat her well in the beginning. His walls eventually fall and they both admit what they mean to each other. Lots of MC action as well as world building. This does end on a minor cliffie. There is more ...more

Briella has to help her sister, Magnolia. It's ok because she needs to share some bad news with her. So she comes back to King's Descendants MC, where she grew up. But her stepbrother, Alarick, and her stepsister, Sissy, are there, too.
She hasn't seen them for years, when she ran and left that life behind. And let's say they are not that happy to see she is back. Especially, Alarick. He is the president of the club now.

Awful! Badly Written! & Immature
One of the worst examples of writing I've ever come across. The sentence structure is terrible. It's all so poorly worded, with numerous missing words, so many sentences don't even make sense. The character's are cringingly juvenile. The h cries on every page! Seriously, every page! He keeps saying she's the strongest women he knows??? Well he must know only pathetic, weak people because she cries on every page! Alarick is not an Alpha. The descriptions of all th ...more

The first book in a new MC series from Bella Jewel and I'm hooked on the characters and stroyline. It took me awhile to get into the book as it kept going from past to present but once I did I was totally invested. Alarick and Brielle have a history and when she returns all those past feelings and hurts come rushing back. Although this is the story of Brielle reconnecting with her family and Alarick there is a mystery running throughout which will carry on in future books in the series.

I read this book the other day and didn't realize that it had a cliffhanger. I absolutely hate cliffhangers, however I love this author. Her stories are always filled with complex plot and character building that keeps me coming back for more. Alarick was no different. I enjoyed this story and hope I remember to pick up book 2 so I can find out what happens.

Alarick by Bella Jewel is one of those books that bounce back and forth between the past and the present, giving you tidbits of information each time. You know something happened to ruin the relationships that Briella had with everyone and caused her to run away, but you don't know what exactly the cause was.

Excuse me!! No no no no no… How are you going to leave me hanging. I don’t like Cliffhangers. I despise them. I try to stay away from them. Here you go sneaking one in there. I love a good MC romance. Especially ones that Have a good balance of brotherhood and romance. I can’t tell if this was just a really easy read or I just got so into the book that I just finished it in one day. I do have to say worth the read. Now I can’t wait for April. Why oh why do you have to do me so dirty. Yes I’m hoo
