A fabulous book for all those seeking to improve their emotional maturity and health. Full of engaging stories and insights which positively demonstrate Sarah's honesty and desire to help others on their life's journey!
Do you want to feel confident and comfortable in your own skin.
This book was given to me at a time when I truly needed it the most.
I am on my journey to self confidence and it is exactly what I needed.
I am a massive fan of journaling and it is highly encouraged on this journey. At the end of each chapter are prompts leading to the answers of your ripple. They are thought provoking questions and may need time to answer.
This book is not one that can be flown through. I have read through it and have started my journey but each chapter will be processed and I am really looking forward to my journey.
Quite possibly one of the most amazing books I now have the privilege to own. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I feel like this book is very much not something you could just read through, it is a book that can be picked up and put down throughout your days. Whilst reading this I actually went out and bought a notebook (Included in the picture) as at the end of each chapter there is something called a ripple where the author asks you to reflect and look at themes that have been talked about throughout the chapter in your own life. At first I was just going to answer these questions in my head or on the computer in a word document and I didn’t really feel a benefit however only after writing down my answers this did make me feel a little different towards my attitude in life, I thought about things back from my childhood and throughout my everyday life. Being truly honest at the minute I didn’t want to read this book as I’m being continually negative towards everyday life and I didn’t want to reflect on things when I’m feeling pretty rubbish anyway.
However I do have to say that I feel like this book has already given me a more positive outlook just thinking about simple themes such as SMG - sense, meaning and gratitude
Does what you are doing make sense? Does it create more meaning in your life? Does it gain gratitude from others?
Just using this thought process at the minute has made me realise some of the things I’m doing ( stressing about nothing for one ) doesn’t make sense, doesn’t give me meaning, and definitely doesn’t gain gratitude from others. I have read a few different self help books however I have never put the themes from them into action. Therefore I will continue to read this book, however I do feel like I already see a positive outlook from reading it so for that alone I would give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/ 5 stars. I think also with the theme of the book I would also pick it up at different stages in my life and reflect on the questions Sarah asks you to reflect on.
“yes, even our hearts can become cluttered, divided and unsettled.”
During the current pandemic, I have found myself turning more to self-help books. So, when the opportunity to be a part of this blog tour arose, I jumped at the chance and I am really glad I did. This book was a fascinating read, especially for those who seek emotional maturity, and self-confidence. It was full of personal stories and insights that really connect with you as a reader and I am really glad I read this book.
Sarah’s desire to help others on this journey of self-discovery and confidence shines through in this book, and her honesty and deep dive into her own personal life allows this book to resonate with you. The personal discussion of this book helps you feel more at ease and receptive to the messages being shared throughout each of the chapters and I felt as though Sarah was having a personal conversation with me. Her journey is truly an incredible read.
At the start of the book, Sarah takes you through how the book will be laid out and the features of this book, which helps your understanding and enhances the messages that you take away. The Ripple Questions invite you to look inwards and provides you with questions to think about on your own time and the Gracelets recap and reiterate the chapter as a useful summary.
Through this book, Sarah has made me understand and helped me clarify things about myself and what I do, helping me to finally understand certain actions. I will continue to return to this book, reading the chapters and answering the Ripple Questions!
I just want to say one more thing. Sarah discusses dyslexia and even shows her dyslexia-friendly font that she helped to create. I was fascinated by this, as my sister was diagnosed at an older age, and I even showed her the font. It helped me understand more about my sister and dyslexia as a learning disorder.
This is a book about helping people enjoy the journey of life, and it is one I believe everyone should read.
I really enjoy reading self help books. No two books are the same and I learn something new about either myself or my surroundings as soon as I read it. During the current pandemic I’ve seen myself turning to self help books more and see them regularly featured in social media posts. Everyone’s way of life has now changed and change is something that can have a significant impact on a persons life.
Journey with Grace is one of those books that will resonate with you as soon as you pick it up. It specifically starts by talking about the pandemic and how life as we know it has changed. The book helps you unpack your feelings, help you to figure out what you are going through and how to put what is happening to you/around you into perspective. The author is a psychologist and gives an insight into her own personal experiences and struggles, the stories of her clients and those she has helped. The author encourages journaling or using a notebook whilst working through the book. I really enjoyed the little gracelets at the end of the section and found these really useful. The authors faith and religious beliefs also come across in this book but I think a person from any faith would find this book insightful and helpful.
It’s not a book that I would read in one sitting but a book to pick up, read a section and then reflect on what you’ve learned. Journaling or making notes will definitely help when using this book as recommended by the author. Noting down how you feel puts your thought and feelings into words and is a record to look back and reflect on.
I can only describe this as a book of reflection that will help you find the real you. If it’s not already this would make a really good audio book.
I received a gifted copy of this book for an honest review.
Journey with Grace: Finding Freedom Through a Transformed Life has proven a inspiring read for me. This is a personal book and easy to read. Although Sarah Grace is a psychotherapist, this book is not written from a clinical approach, filled with terms to which we can’t relate.
The book is divided into chapters which can be read and studied alone. I like that approach, because when reading self-help books it can often just run together and the mind can get overwhelmed. The author has a theme for each chapter and they all follow a similar format.
I love that each chapter teaches and explains a topic that is important for mental health. At the end she gives a section called Gracelets. These are my favorite part, because the grace is explained here. This is where the reader finds the grace and ideas to use to make a practical difference in their life.
She also includes a section in each chapter called Your Ripple. This is also a wonderful idea. Your Ripple is described as when you enter the water, a ripple occurs on the water. If another person were to enter the water, their ripple would start. And, we should think about what can happen when the ripples bump into each other. In other words, how our life touches and connects with others is important.
The author’s goal is for us to transform our life in the areas that need freedom from things that keep us from being our true self. The author is a Christian and often speaks about her personal journey. I recommend this book for those who want to improve their life.
This was an unusual account by a psychotherapist, as the author shares her own personal life story in a very real and open way, during the course of the book, along with several examples from her professional sessions with her psychotherapy clients. Also included are first person accounts from the life stories of some of the people she has helped.
I liked the way the book is set out, taking as its central theme the word 'Grace' both for its spiritual and psychological meaning, and for the fact that it coincides with the author's surname. Each chapter ends with 'Gracelets' and 'Your Ripple'. 'Gracelets' are the main points of each chapter, and 'Your Ripple' relates to the accompanying 'Journal with Grace' in which you, the reader, can write down all your own thoughts about the issues addressed during the psychotherapeutic journey the author covers in the pages of this volume.
'Journey With Grace' is also set out in a new dyslexia-friendly typeface, which the author helped to design, as she is herself dyslexic. I loved her use of the imagery of the 'ripple', especially in regard to the ripple of our existence which goes on and on, after we have died, continuing to affect the lives of all those whom we have touched while we have been alive.
This is ultimately a hopeful, uplifting and inspiring work. If you choose to work with it, using the Journal, (which you can buy separately as an accompaniment to the book), you may find it has a profound influence on your life.

The cover itself is beautiful and eye catching, I love how she used butterflies, as they are a good representation on a journey that the insect goes through. The book is laid out in 10 chapters and very easy to read with the text being done for dyslexics too. This book is partly about Sarah's time as a psychotherapist, and also about her patients and how she helped them overcome there worries and problems. I absolutely love that the end of each chapter you have 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐬: 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫. 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐑𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐞: 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐬𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟. There is a lot of talk about religion and spirituality and if you're not religious it may put you off. But don't be there is enough information in this book that benefits absolutely everyone, regardless of your faith. Overall, a really helpful book, that you can go back to time and time again and journal your journey. • #gifted @lovebookstours @sarahgracepublishing @mdpublishing
The first thing that struck me about this book was the gorgeous cover and beautifully clear crisp easy to read font and format. It is broken down into 10 useful chapters so it will be easy to return to specific sections in the future. I was very surprised to find out later in the book that the author actually designed the font herself with dyslexics in mind. This book is part autobiographical, part self-help advice. The author is of Christian faith and she speaks a little about that. If you aren’t religious please don’t be put off, the information, tips and advice are accessible to all. It’s a very thought provoking read and it has definitely made me look at changing the way I deal with things. Since reading this I’ve started journaling. I love how each chapter ends with:- Gracelets-the highlighted important parts of the chapter. Your Ripple-questions to answer yourself. All in all a very useful book that I will definitely return to again and again.
4 out of 5 stars This is a book that will help so many people especially right now.. The author Sarah grace is a therapist who has helped so many people and some of these stories are within the book and that alone is something that’s fine beautifully. We learn about how to tackle so many problems that we hold onto and don’t deal with in a way that isn’t patronising. I think so often we bust out troubles deep down and in this book we learn different ways of coping. Sarah talks about the ripple affect and that’s something that struck a cord with me. How all our actions have consequences and can go further than we imagine. There is a bit in the book towards the end about how how one person can achieve so much if we want to. I love the idea of helping people and that’s written so well. The Christian element in the book did hold a dear place in my heart and again was done tactfully and well.
The first thing I loved about this book was the beautiful cover! I love the bright colours and stunning butterfly and I knew immediately I wanted to be apart of the tour :)
I Iove reading through self-help/self development books as I feel they are the type of book that you can dip in and out of alongside another book tour currently reading and can learn from them. This book does just that!
Although it is slightly religious in parts, it wasn’t over powering. I really liked how the author implemented her own personal examples (of herself/clients)
The format was of the book was clear and easy to read with sub headings and reasonable sized chapters. Each chapter ends with a question/activity page to take part in, to get you really thinking of your own personal life and experiences.
This is a book that I will re-visit in greater depth and take part in the exercises/journal alongside!
The first thing I noticed about the book was the cover with its beautiful calming colours. Journey with Grace is a self help book which is beautifully written and in an easy to read way. I enjoyed how the author wrote using personal examples as well as examples from clients together with her faith. The book is split into 10 chapters which makes it great to dip in and out of. At the end of each chapter are Gracelets, which I loved, and The Ripple Effect which was very insightful and got me thinking. The author encourages the use of a journal and writing things down and I can see how this helps.
A wonderfully challenging, insightful read; underpinned with personal examples and practical advice. A must read for anyone wanting to discover more of themselves and or wishing to be better informed as to how they can support people around them who are struggling mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. This may not be a 'light read' but well worth every minute it takes. Thank you Sarah for putting these words into print and sharing your love, journey and professional knowledge with the world. I am so much better for it!
This Is A Great Example Of A Biography / Memoir And Also A Self Help Book All In One.
What’s Great Is That This Doesn’t Have To Be Read Straight Through And The Sections Make It So You Can Just Pick It Up As You Like.
Sarah Grace Is So Open And Honest Within The Book Sharing Her Private Life And Accounts From Others And I Feel That This Builds Trust With The Reader. The Book Is Both Insightful, Engaging And Moving.
Sarah Grace Is Very Religious And This Can Be Felt Throughout The Book. I Wouldn’t However Categorise It As A ‘Religious Book’ And Simply A Book Of Hope!
As an atheist, this possibly wouldn’t be the first book that would leap out at me if I was looking to grow in confidence or transform my life - but - having read and worked through some of the exercises, I feel like it has a lot of merit. There is always value in hearing and reading things from a different perspective and this is an example of that. There are some really useful passages in this book and I think if I was to start at the beginning and work through to the end, I might well reap the benefit. Interesting and helpful.
Thank you to lovebooktours and the author for my copy of this book in return for my own honest review
I’m not really the sort of person that would read a self help book, but I’m glad I picked this one up. Sarah has split this book into different chapters and talk to you through them and gives you questions at the end of them. I am still working my way through this book and will do a full review once finished.
Journey With Grace by Sarah Grace I liked this book, written in part like an autobiography and part as a self help help book. Sarah is a psychotherapist and offers great moments in this book that I will carry with me. Sarah is quite religious, which very much comes across throughout this book, if you are a person of faith then I think you will like this book. Overall an interesting read.
When I first read the title of the book, I thought maybe I can give it a try. I thought maybe since it seems a little religious it will be a disadvantage, but it wasn’t that bad. It lets you think about things and the author shares her experience. It was an enjoyable self-help book. I will reread this more along the way just to refresh my memory on things.
