I left a job I was very good at to seek a better life. The new life is boring. I get up. I go to classes. I avoid people. That last one isn’t a new thing for me, though. I never much-liked people before and now that I’m in college, I’m finding that it’s for good reason. People knock on my door, play their music loudly in public, and ask me invasive questions that I pretend I don’t hear. I shut it out because I need to stay on this new path.

Then I saw her and found myself slipping back into bad habits that I thought I packed away with my black gloves, camouflage scope, and special weapons case. But what’s a reformed assassin going to do when he develops a killer crush?

This story took care of my bad mood. It was sweet and se*y with lovable characters and a killer epilogue.
Loved the hero so much.

"I've never worried over someone before. I thought I was doing what was best for you. That I was helping to keep you safe. Since the moment I saw you in that cafeteria, I knew that you were mine. That it would be an honor to love you and protect you for all the days of my life."

5+ stars!!

Guys, I don't even know what to say except that I loved THE HELL out of this book! Have you ever wondered what happens when a former assassin-for-hire falls in love? Then this is the book for you. Is the premise of this story outlandish and probably not realistic? Absolutely. But will you enjoy this wild and crazy ride and secretly fantasize about the stalker tendencies of Daman? Abso-fucking-lutely.
I always had this love/hate relationship with trees. They provided good cover but also interfered with my long-distance shots, particularly on days that were windy. Wait. Fuck. I'm doing it again. I'm not an assassin, I remind myself. Every scene I come across doesn't need to be dissected for sight lines, obstructions, and the best vantage point for a kill shot.

Meet Daman Patrick Jones, a twenty-five year old retired assassin. After killing became something that he did too easily, he decided to retire from the hitman lifestyle and enroll in college like a normal young man. However, all his plans of blending in with civilians goes out the window when he meets Quinn. He decides then that she was meant to be his, and his obsession with her safety (and her body) propel him back into a life he thought he had left behind.
She's more beautiful than any painting and I'm torn between wanting to put her on a pedestal and worship her daily and taking her to the floor and violating her in every way known to man and a few that I've been making up in my head in the last few hours.

I absolutely LOVED being inside Daman's head! How his mind kept analyzing everything in a way that only a former assassin would was completely twisted yet fascinating. His total inexperience in social situations made his obsession with Quinn endearing instead of creepy and wholly sexy. He was an alpha j/p male through and through, and I loved him so much! Overall, this has been one of my most unexpectedly favorite reads of 2020, and I wholeheartedly recommend this twisted yet endearing rom-com ♡
The man I know I'm in love with is a killer. But he is my killer, and for some reason, that makes all the difference.

My Daman, the sweetest and dominating former assassin you've ever had the pleasure of meeting...

Daman is out the contract killer life he wants to live w normal life as a student in college. He isnt adjusting very well he is rudish to peoples and cold. But when he meets Quinn he is sprung and wants to protect her right away. So he hides a few hidden cameras in her apartment, and watches from afar for few hours until he goes and tries to win her over. And he does, he even through a party so she wont be near frat boys houses.  Their relationship is cute and steamy, and I love it.. we also get a insight what Quinn feels when she finds out her man is a ex hitman. But that's not all they find out. Seems the handyman in their building is a big time perv who wants Quinn.. lucky for her her man is on top of that.

No ow drama slight om drama (creepy dude), no cheating, drama, slight secondary chara, Sexy times, Both virgins

Wowza what a great story "Killer Crush" was!Funny, charming and so very HOTTT!Quinn was such a bubbly heroine while Daman is a ex-hitman who claims Quinn the same day he meets her! These two have the best kind of chemistry and they made me really laugh with their twisted humor and the way Daman wooed Quinn with such innocence. Both are also virgins which made the story so much better!

4.5 ⭐️

Daman is having a hard time adjusting to civilian life after retiring from being a hit man. (Don’t worry guys he’s only 25 not 73😂) When he meets the heroine, he knows she’s the one for him. Although, he is quite literally speechless when he meets her especially when her best friend comes up and tells her how much of a dick he is. (For reference the heroines best friend hit on the hero before he met the heroine but he didn’t pay her attention and she was pissed at him for not taking her up on her offer to go out for coffee)

Since the heroine now believes he’s an asshole (thanks Trin🙄) he is on a mission to do whatever it takes to make her believe he’s a good guy.

He starts off by installing cameras in her apartment (for safety purposes of course😏) and spying on her to find out what she likes and her whereabouts. He finds out she likes colorful things so he goes online and buys a green toaster, a green butter knife, and a whole place setting in the color green.

He even develops a liking for fluffy socks after hearing she likes them and buys a ton of them online in all different colors😭

Unfortunately, the girl of his dreams, Quinn is roped into going to a frat party with Trin (her best friend) and he has to figure out a way to intercept before all the frat guys start making googly eyes at her.

When he goes to pick out an outfit to wear for his first *official* meeting with Quinn, all he has in his closet is black clothes. That doesn’t bode well for him since Quinn likes colors. He hunts his roommate from across the hall down and makes him strip down to his boxers so that he can wear his roommates colorful non black clothes😂

Fast forward to when hero and heroine are driving to the frat party he has this amazing idea to throw a party at his house so all the frat guys won’t see her. Mind you, he’s never thrown a party before😭 He calls his roommate and pays him $100 for every person he invites that can show up at the party in 20 minutes.

He really goes all out to make the heroine happy. Even if he has no clue what a keg stand is, he just vibes with it making sure Quinn is happy😂

Now remember how I mentioned he was a retired hit man? Well when a certain handyman is acting a little shady he has to pull out the big guns and dive head first back into the business. But not without the heroine finding out and wanting to join him in taking down a creep.

The only reason this book is not five stars is because of the friend Trin. She annoyed me to no end and I didn’t like the role she portrayed in this book. She kept pressuring the heroine to talk and get with hot guys and every time guys were mentioned or a party was it just felt like she was always pressuring the heroine to go. -.5 star for you Trin😡

I stayed up all night to read this book (it’s 8am right now) and it’s a short read. I just got distracted watching tik tok🫣 This review might not make much sense because I’m sleep deprived but I’ll fix it after a 14 hour nap😂😂

Daman is on the path to change his life. Going from a hitman to college student is a hard adjustment especially since he has never had to really interact with anyone. In the cafeteria, he runs into Quinn and knows that she's special and too innocent. Even knowing that, he can't stay away and will do whatever it takes to protect her. When she finds out the truth of his past and the lengths he's gone to protect her, will she run the other way??

-safe read
-h is a virgin
-no talk about H past but my idea was he was a virgin as well because of how he acted. that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :)
-no sexual abuse past or present
-epilogue 6 years out

Me levanto. Voy a clases.

Daman has chosen to become a typical college student after deciding to give up his life as a hitman. As soon as he laid eyes on Quinn, he fell in love immediately.

Since this is a novella, things move along quickly. However, I must admit that even with the quick turnaround, the story was still enjoyable and adorable. I love how equally obsessed they are of one another and how Quinn accepted Daman for who he was, even with his past job.

The epilogue was cute, and the book was a quick read.

100 pages of mindless fun. Sometimes I’m in the mood for light and sweet, but I have a tendency to get bored when everything is all sunshine and rainbows for too long. Ella Goode is my go-to when I’m in the mood for fluff. Her novellas are short enough that I don’t get bored, have little to no obstacles for the couples, the H’s fall hard and are totally devoted, and a smidge of humor. Her MC’s are usually not typical “normal” people. In this one we have Daman Patrick a 25-yr-old reformed assassin trying out college, and Quinn a sweet, sheltered fellow student.

There’s no real drama, total insta-love, and totally safe. They’re both virgins, but somehow know how to get it on. There’s a sweet epilogue six years later.

Bottom Line This is short and sweet… and silly. It’s not a serious read, I recommend it to those just wanting to escape reality for a couple hours.

Daman is a new book boyfriend

I loved our lead hero. He was adorably clueless about real life. Having only recently retired as an in demand hit man he’d never bothered with people or things. He was only aware of his surroundings and who his next kill would be.

Meeting Quinn though that quickly changed. In that first glance she instantly became his everything. And god help anyone who who’d ever think to hurt her. She’s his to protect, love and cherish.

A huge yes from me.

That was a strange story and definitely not for me. The hero was creepy (he installed cams in her flat including her bedroom and didn't want other men to see her in revealing clothes!!!), the romance insta-lovey (both were virgins but had sex on the first night), the sex was pornlike but not enough to be considered an erotic novella and the moral compass of the characters was broken (self justice)!

I really enjoyed this book. I am loving how different they are from the normal insta love romances. Daman is a retired hit man trying to get a college education. He is a little older than everyone else and has a different mindset so he feels like he doesn’t fit in. Quinn feels like she doesn’t really fit in at college since she has only made one friend. When she meets Daman is feels an instant connection to him even though her roommate claims he is a major jerk. Daman knows Quinn is the one for him and he will stop at nothing to claim her, he just hopes his hit man past doesn’t ruin things for him.
Quinn accepted his past with very little questions, I would have been asking question after question after question. She trusted her feelings and didn’t let his past bother her.

Safety and Spoilers
Completely safe. H gets hit on by a cashier that makes h jealous but it goes nowhere, major om drama with h’s apartment handyman. He is the major drama in the story. H deals with him nicely, handyman is a very sick man.
Both H and h are virgins. No abuse.

Daman is sweet in a killer way

I loved this book! Daman is such an awesome main character - an alpha hit man with a bit of naive, especially when it comes to women. I especially love his somewhat twisted thoughts - 'Now time to pick out something to wear for dinner. It’ll be the first time we officially meet so I’ll need to make a good impression with her. It would be good if she’d fall in love with me so I don’t have to kidnap her. I don’t know much about how the whole Stockholm syndrome thing works. Anyone who locked me up has always ended up dying. I need to avoid that outcome with my girl.'

A short story about an ex-hitman trying to find himself a new life after retiring from killing.
I liked it a lot however him saying about killing for 8 years while being only 25 years old? That puts him as a teenage killer which does not sit with me well. Other than that I liked that our hero was quite awkward in social situations, it made the read original.

Ella, please keep writing these killer stories. I LOVE me a good crazy person in love.

I loved that they were both virgins, it made sense for both of their personalities and situations.

Loved how Daman cared for Quinn and did everything possible to make her happy.

Really liked their epilogue and how those three sentences made it feel like I already knew Trudy. That takes skill, to write so little, yet convey so much.

I was expecting this one to disappoint me because Killer Love was really great, but this one was just as good. They're completely different stories, but still have that sweet, obsessive, protective and loving feel.

Definitely recommend

Daman Jones is a twenty five year old retired assassin who has decided to try and be normal by going to college. Daman lacks the social aspect though and finds that he is struggling with finding normal, that is until he sees Quinn. Daman knows Quinn is going to be his girl, and with some creative decisions he pursues her but he has no idea what he is doing. Quinn though feels something instantly with with Daman but what happens when she finds out who Daman really is?

This was fun, I thought Daman was interesting and trying so hard to win Quinn that he goes out of his way to fit in, he doesn't but it is sweet all the same. I thoroughly enjoyed this story.

I love story like this. HANDS DOWN! QUICK, SAFE, HOT AND ROMANTIC LOVE STORY!!!
A quick love story is always sweet ;)

--- HERO AND HEROINE IS A VIRGIN!

--- HERO IS A ASSASSIN

--- THE HERO IS OTT POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE ALPHA MALE

--- THE HERO IS VERY OBSESSED AND WANTS THE HEROINE SOOOO BAD...

The hero actually is a bit stalker too but not IN A weird awkward wrong way. because he installed some cameras to the heroine's apartment. He said to protect her because he used to be a assassin so thats why its more comfortable and safe feeling for him to do something like that.

I think its cute tho.

Well at least for me :)

--- THIS HAPPENS IN COLLEGE

--- NO SEPARATION

--- NO PUSHING AWAY...

even when the hero told the heroine he use to killed people and that was his old job, THE HEROINE DIDN'T EVEN PUSH HIM AWAY or say negative things to him... THE HEROINE EVEN reach out to him and make sure that he is comfortable to say things...

Wowwww.... I love this heroine!

--- THE HEROINE is kinda sassy and funny.

--- HOT SMUT SCENES

--- I love when the heroine told the hero that she's a virgin, BOY THAT REALLY MADE THE HERO VERY HAPPY... The hero even told her that she was his one and only.

--- THE HERO ALWAYS... always... SAID TO THE HEROINE: You Are Mine.

Mine.

Mine.

SAY IT, YOU ARE MINE. MINE.

YOU BELONG TO ME.

--- THE HEROINE actually have a stalker but thankfully the hero saved the heroine before the stalker did something drastic.

--- SO MANY JEALOUS SCENES FROM THE HERO. He got so jealous very easily and that is very very romantic for me lol.

--- DRAMA WITH OM the stalker but not too much and not too annoying... NO DRAMA WITH OW...

--- HAPPY ENDING!

Few years later and they have a child.

So cuteeeee!!!

Loved this story. Former hit man and a college student, what more can you ask for. Loved Daman and Quinn. Daman fell in love at first sight with Quinn and he would do anything to have her and keep her safe. Great story line and great characters. Loved them together and I can’t wait to read what she has coming next.

I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

My review :

Will his past be too much for her ...

I do not know why this book popped up in my feed line, but once I read the blurb, I needed to get it.
It took me some days to find the right time to read it, and I understood the many good reviews.

It could have been the classic lust-love at first sight, guy meets girl at college, but here stop all similarities, as Daman is not the usual frat boy, older, colder, he had a job before and not the basic job.
So when he falls instantly for Quinn, his first reaction is not to flirt but to kidnap her and stalk her.
His brain has be conditioned by years of training and missions, so he sees things from an other eye, and acts the only way he knows.
Quinn is the overprotected shy girl, so Daman awkwardness with people but willingness to please her immediately call her to him. With him, she feels secure and protected.

I can’t tell much as this is a short and it would be sad to spoil the plot, still for a fast read, it was entertaining, steamy and fun.
