Recently jobless and homeless, now I've been kidnapped by aliens.

I thought my day couldn't get any worse… until the disgusting Orkun warlords who abducted me tell me I'm meant to be a "bride" for their commander.

No! No freaking way.

But before I can figure out a way off this spaceship, I find myself caught in the middle of an uprising by their other captives: a breathtaking

Just reiterating sexual urgency and mating bond does not make them a love match!

This was an ok read for me. It was a bit hard to finish.. but only because I had so many questions.

Why do I feel like the like the H changed personality/character throughout this story.
First and foremost I didn't understand her rude reaction when Tordax told them he believed her to be his fatted mate. You mean to tell me that you were willing to sleep with an alien male you could not communicate with?
Romance All the Way
I can't wait to get my hands on the next book in this new series.

I couldn't have asked for a better sci-fi r romance book. I couldn't put this book down.
I still want more of this couple so much.

Definitely recommended for anyone in a book slump who needs a good old golden warrior too save ya.

Pretty good. Surprised me in a good way. Loved the premise and the Kalixian Warriors.
Tordax Is such a sexy, intense, sweet Alpha male. He and Rose have awesome chemistry together..

I liked this one enough to read others in this series, though I will not read book 2. At least not immediately.. I'm not interested in Harper. I didn't like her from jump. The epilogue, which is a lead in to her and Malav's story for book 2, I'm going to pass on. Her character set up/ personality just annoys me. She's

I actually DNF at 91%, but I feel like I was close enough to say I got the whole thing.
This book was very...Meh.
I had high hopes, based on the write up and it just fell really flat for me.
Rose is so...boring. She's not the defiant one, the scared one, the loud one. She's not really anything.
Tordax (I find this name so irritating) is enamored with 'his Rose'. He thinks shes amazing, beautful, funny, defiant, etc. I just don't get it.

We also get to listen to her angst lots. It gets a little o

I think the story was a little drawn out but I think it worked in the end.
I wanted to know more about the alien customs to get a better understanding or their world and how they will react to certain things.
All the woman even Rose was very calm about everything once they saw what could happen to them. Which you except that made it more real to me.

Overall, it was a good story and I will be listening to the others in this series.

Rose was taken from her home on Earth with other women by Orkun warlords to a ship in space. Rose and the other woman are taken by for breeding by the Orkuns. Tordax and his men was taken from their home world to fight in their rings. But Tordax did not count on find a human woman that takes a hold of him. Now would be the time to get the book. I will be getting more from this author.
Could use a little less sex and a little more plot.

I actually loved this book... well at least until the last 20% or so. There actually was so much left that needed to be finished up or extended between Rose and Tordax that the author could have had a couple more chapters or even a whole other book if she wanted to. I felt like the ending was super rushed and it really wasn't an ending at all as far as these two main characters are concerned. And additionally the main female finds out something that is super important but the book ends

Not what I hoped

The writing isn’t bad, the world building is decent, and the characters aren’t’s just not what I hoped it might be.

The story seems like every romantic troupe and cliche tossed together with the hope that it’d be ok. The overall arc of a story was there but it the smaller connecting details that would have made me feel more immersed weren’t present. We don’t see the heroine getting to know the crew of Kalixians - it just happens and is an afterthought mention. We do
Meh. I didn’t connect with the characters. This wasn’t very interesting.

I really wanted to like this. I really really did. But I just couldn't and I had to keep convincing myself to keep on reading because I just could not connect with either of the main leads. I'm so annoyed that I do not even have words. I did not feel any of the connection we kept getting told about, I did not feel like any of the female actions were true except only if I think of her as a slight ditzo. Which is rude I know, but come on. As said I really can not think of what to say or how to say ...more

"Claimed" by Presley Hall is a fated mates science fiction romance and the first in the series starring the Kalixians. I love fated mates stories, but not all of them are good or well written. This was a pleasant suprise. I found it in my kindle unlimited so I took a chance and read it. I am so thrilled that I did not only did I find a new series to read but a new author to explore and support. What I liked most was the world building and character development. Rose is an ordinar

Star rating for imagination, editing and world-building.
For a story with barley 214 pages there is a lot packed into this tale. I feel it's a good start to what can be a great series.
It's not full of characters that you wnt to reach in and shake for their Are their own idiocy of bringing home problems. Here the characters actually think. :)

With a sinking feeling in my stomach, it finally hits me that we’re very far from earth. It’s impossible, unfathomable, and my brain struggles to co

Great new PNR story - highly developed and action packed for the 1st in a series

This PNR contains subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, steamy intimate scenes and violence, examples include kidnapping, fighting with some to the death, non-consensual acts.

If you are not into this type of genre, please do not purchase and then rate it lower than it deserves.

I gave this 5 stars because of several reasons. This is the first story I recall reading by Pres

Well written book, with a believable story (if you ignore the alien part). Rose is a smart women, who doesn't accept abuse and wont fall into another trap with a man.

Rose has just lost her job and she's about to lose her home. Her mother thinks shes stupid for breaking up with her abusive boyfriend, and she has no friends. Shes all alone except for the neighborhod cat that comes by once in a while.

I received a ARC copy.

I really enjoyed this. Tordax and Rose are a great couple. They have both had a rough time and are thrown together accidentally. It definitely ends up being a good thing of course because they're fated mates. Tordax immediately accepts Rose and while she is very attracted to him she doesn't accept her situation. This is basically about how they become the ultimate couple and the things that happen along the way. I love it. I also really enjoyed the end. There's a twist. Som

DNF at 72%, so no star rating. I know this is a whole genre, and I don't know who did all of the tropes first, but this realllly feels like a watered down version of Ice Planet Barbarians. Less drama, less survival, less sexiness, less intelligence. Maybe if I had read this one first, I wouldn't dislike it so much, but comparing any aspect of this book to Ice Planet, it's no contest (and I only really liked the first book in that series, only read 3.)

The heroine in this book is ridiculous. She h

The first book in the series, earth women willingly go on a voyage off of earth to be in contact with aliens. But, they did not know the true reason why they are on that space ship. Also, they are not aware that there are other women there who did not sign up willingly. If fact they were sent off by the local government as trade. Sometime happens on the way to meet the other alien species and they are pulled from a black hole and landed somewhere they don't know. Now it gets interesting. Will th ...more

Slow and steady

It took me a while to finish this book because it has a completely different style of writing than what I am used to reading. But, after I finally sat down and gave it a fair chance, it sucked me right in.
Thordax is your typical alpha male with a sweet and passionate side to him. Rose is a innocent female that has absolutely no luck with a mother who resent her. There’s a connection between the two instantaneously, but Rose doesn’t believe in fate nor that they are destined to b

What a great new series

I'm so glad I have a new author that makes the ladies smart and brave and not something that makes me cringe. Our Rose is in a terrible place on earth and ends up in an even worse place. Not really abducted because people on earth had made arrangements for them to be taken. But the warriors that are there manage to save them and get them away. The romance between Tordex and Rose happens quickly due to the mate bond and it takes both of them by surprise. Not to mention ever

Rose and Tordax

When Rose finds herself kidnapped by alien Orkuns, she, and the rest of the human women kidnapped with her, are expected to become sex slaves.
Instead, they help the Kalixian warriors who have been captured, to escape their overseers and aim for home. The Kalixian’s home that is.
Tordax is the leader of the Kalixians, and finds himself intensely attracted to Rose. And the attraction is returned...

First in a series, the overarching background story ends on a ‘not quite cliffhanger’ u
Better than I expected! Another instance of the "alien race needs women", plus some fated mates thrown into the mix, but both tropes are well-done and explained. I liked that Rose reacted to the fated mates thing in a "realistic" way (i.e. with skepticism and disbelief), and that Tordax gave her time and space (har har) to work through things without pressuring her.

My only complaint is the very ending of the book, where a very sudden malfunction causes a major change of plans. It seemed to come

Ok this is the second book from this author and I'm completely under charm!!! I just bought the second books of this series because I have to read it, it just too powerful. I know it's not everyone favorite and that it's somehow clichés but I love those kind of romances and adventures so damn much. It was even better than : "her alien prince". I know it's not going to be perfect for everyone but for me it's magical and beautiful. I recommended this book to everyone who's looking for something th ...more

Wow, just wow! This book was so good. Great and interesting characters, check! Great world-building, check! Great and amazing plot, check! Attention to detail, check! The book was action-packed from the very beginning to the very end, full of romance and suspense, steamy scenes, a little drama and intrigue. I put it down only when I really reached my limits and had to sleep at last, lol. A real page-turner, I enjoyed this book very much. I know Harper's book is next, and I really look forward to ...more

This book would have been at least a 4 star book, but the author decided to end the book too soon. In order to even get close to an acceptable ending the reader has to sign up for the author's newsletter and download a chapter of separate content. Sure the chapter is free, but this practice is something that I personally hate. Especially when the actual book ends with a major plot hole that would be normally expected to be included in the book. Again I would have given it at least another star i ...more

Really bad even for this genre

I forced myself to read a third of this book but I couldn’t stomach anymore. The female protagonist is a loser who dated a loser but is apparently gorgeous. There’s nothing like about her. In a horrific situation, she doesn’t seem to have much emotion. The male lead is much more interesting but a perfect male. It’s weird how they talk about themselves in descriptive ways like “my petite oval face”, or “my oiled pectorals”. And all of these prisoners apparently smell

This starts so unexpectedly and then wham you are so hooked and can't put the book down. I love alien stories and this one is so well thought out and the characters are so believable. It is quite an adventure for Rose and Tordax that you won't want to miss. This is a great start to a new series. She won't be able to get the books out quick enough for me at least, if not all of her readers. The action, drama, hot scenes, and love are just a part of this great book.

This is an ARC read. My review

An intense and multilayered read

I have never read this author before, but this book was worth the time it took to read it. The plot had a few strong subplots that ran simultaneously. The action steadily built up and stayed interesting. The characters were easy to like, Rose especially, since her backstory was sad but her attitude was still strong and self-reliant. The evil aliens could not have been any more grotesque, and the Kalixians were also all easy to like. It's a longish read, but defini

I love reading romance, baking (well... eating) cookies, and binge-watching sci fi shows with my husband. I'm a sucker for a dirty talking alpha with a heart of gold, and I write stories about fierce aliens and the strong Earth women they fall in love with.
