I almost didn’t read this because I was thinking of it as just another self-help book. It took me a month to finish, and I can’t tell you exactly what the definition of Red Shoes living is, but I came away with the fact that I need to see and treat everyone as humans and help them feel their value. This is something that has become more important to me the older I get. The best section in the book, in my opinion, is Part 5: How to Sustain Red Shoes. Maybe isn’t really teaching me anything new; it’s all about valuing one another and treating others with respect, but this book is a great reminder of how we should treat others. I keep thinking of it as “Jesus said love everyone”, but also make sure they know you love them and they are valuable. I am definitely going to try harder to help those I interact with know that they are valuable, and I see them and love them.
