I love how Roslyn has crafted this tale, it is a well written story of greed and mayhem that has some nice twists and turns. Love our protagonist Early, a poor Private Detective (who I think needs a new love in his life but anyway I am a romantic and this is a cool mystery).
I would recommend that you put aside a couple of hours. Turn off your phone put the coffee pot on and make sure you have your snack supply on hand because if you are anything like me you will read it all in one go.

Reid writes smooth sharp dialog, of diverse deep characters (both close and distant), with entertaining exposition, dwelling along the intersection of complex social intercourse and conflicted introspection, of mansions with dark pasts, modern tarot, hidden files, and fiery pottery techniques, in a a territory where police are thin, high-tech is spotty, and GPS is wrong.

The unhero and his son are standouts; so is the Cop. We hope to learn more of the absent wife/mother in future stories in this
