Five hot stars for Poppy and Kingston 💕!

"The Second Coming" is the reason why I've started reading Carrie's books.

So, you can only imagine how I was happy when I found that "The Lion Heart" the second book from "Rogue Academy" series is coming soon!

Yes, I was dying for reading Poppy's and Kingston's book because from the first book I knew that their story will be one I won't forget soon 😍.

And Carrie didn't disappoint!

She proved one more time that she is the master for writing a good romanc

Yes, Poppy Raymond is the queen. And with the way she’s looking at me, you’d think it was off with my head.

Pretty good enemies to friends to lovers read. Kingston is a jokester, not taking the football career and talent that he has seriously. Poppy is a well known model who takes herself maybe a bit too seriously. Combine the two and you’ve got the perfect opposites attract story. All in all a great read. There are some pretty heavy subjects talked about, so I’d maybe read some spoilers if you h

The Lion Heart is the second book in the Rogue Academy series featuring Kingston and Poppy. Technically the books in this series can be read as standalones, but it is my opinion that your reading experience will be richer and fuller if you start with the first book and read them in order.

I absolutely loved everything about Kingston and Poppy. Their chemistry was fiery hot, sparking right off the page and practically crackling in the air around them. This couple was positively electric together,

The Lion Heart was yet another amazing read by Carrie Aarons! I loved the first book, The Second Coming and The Lion Heart was such a good sequel. I couldn’t put this book down. I finished it in one sitting because it was just that damn good. I absolutely adored this story!

Poppy and Kingston were electric at the end of The Second Coming and in this story we find out how they turn out. Both of them have had major traumas in their childhood. Through a beautiful weaving of storytelling on Carrie Aarons' part they get to find their way through hard times into the light of finding love, understanding, and acceptance. I think if you have read The Second Coming that you will be excited to read this book; however if you are just picking u

Pain and trauma can define you as a person, how you handle it and how you let it control you. This is one of the things that attracted Poppy and Kingston to each other, all the pain they suffered from such a young age, both with different experiences but with the same result. Pain that let them broken until they found each other. At the beginning nothing made sense between them, but after some time and life circumstances everything began to fit and together they started to heal and be better for ...more

This newest book by Carrie Aarons featured a player on and off the field, and a model not interesting in playing. Both are haunted and damaged by events from their pasts. But the attraction between them is undeniable. The more time they spend together, the more complicated their relationship becomes.

Kingston was definitely a multilayered character. I never imagined his carefree, womanizing persona hid so much pain and hurt from his past. Poppy was also struggling with events from her past a

5 LION HEART STARS!! Kingston is beautiful inside and out, but broken from childhood. Poppy is so beautiful, but also broken badly inside. These two have one heck of a story to tell you. Their story has all the feels and will squeeze your heart. I absolutely loved this book. Carrie Aarons writing is phenomenal and always gives us readers the perfect story.

‘No one has ever been so raw with me. Poppy…I think maybe you see something in me that I never even knew was there. And…I think maybe I see the same thing inside you.’ – Kingston Phillips

Kingston Phillips is a gorgeous player with a weakness for women, booze, and brawls. He lives his life in fast forward with zero cares in the world. Soccer comes easy to him, being the child of two of the greatest players in the world, that shouldn’t surprise anyone, but he doesn’t take it or his life seriously.

I was so excited to read Kingston and Poppy's story! They may be famous but they are both a little lost and lonely. I've loved all the characters introduced in the Rogue Academy Series thus far. The chemistry between Kingston and Poppy is hot. This story is well written and I can't wait for more.

This book is an EPIC read that I highly recommend! The Lion Heart by Carrie Aarons will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!

If you’re looking for an enemies, to friends, to lovers romance, then The Lion Heart by Carrie Aarons is the book for you!

Kingston is the “bad-boy/playboy” of the soccer world, doing everything he can to destroy his career, and spiraling out of control just trying to figure out what he really wants. He’s the life of the party, and yet broken inside. Poppy is the “It” model, the one everyone wants to be, and despises Kingston from the moment she meets him.

“Kingston Phillips is not who I thought he was, and I’m falling head over heels for the man I’ve found him to be.”

What happens when the sensation of the fashion world meets the royalty of football? A battle is fought.

Carrie Aarons is in special place in my heart with her books. All of them are so sensitive, delicate and beautiful. Also all of them have difficult subjects in their plot and this made them so perfect.
With 'The Lion Heart' the second book in 'The Rouge Academy' series it was the same thing. I love Poppy and Kingston story.

I don’t remember having 2 people break my heart as much as Kingston and Poppy did. They are just two broken people trying to make their way in the world. They are both products of circumstances beyond their control and have taught themselves how to shield their emotions. Both have found different ways to mask their pain and the turmoil they go through every day.

Kingston is the prankster, the one person everyone can count on for a laugh. He is reckless, a ladies’ man and never someone anyone take

I feel like when Carrie Aaron's writes a sports romance it takes us back to her writing roots. You can tell that she enjoys writing sports romances. The characters are always fun and entertaining. The Lion Heart was a story I fell into incredibly easy. Kingston is a character I wasn't sure I was going to like as first but I should have known Carrie gives all her men the sweetest and goofiest insides... you just have to get to the inside. Poppy is just what Kingston needed. She has no time for Ki ...more

Kingston is THE Guy. You know the one, talks a lot, acts the fool, manwh@re, with terrible ideas. The guy who regularly does idiotic things... yeah, that guy.

He's the natural born player. He has football in his veins. And yet, he's the biggest joke in the country. Kingston's life is going down the drain.

I simultaneously want to hug and shake the ever loving shite out of Kingston. (P.S. I truly hope they do an audiobook of this because I would swoon and possibly need back up panties!) He stays t

Once again, Carrie Aarons delivers a story that is entertaining yet high on the feels. The Lion Heart wraps you up in this world that she has created with these characters that are flawed but so endearing. You have Kingston who is the party boy who chases anything in a skirt but when you get to the nitty gritty of him, there are so many layers that you come to understand for him. It is heartbreaking to the point that you just want to hug him and tell him everything is going to be okay. Then you ...more

The Lion Heart by Carrie Aarons is the second book in her Rogue Academy series and though this can be read as a standalone, they are about interconnected couples. Kingston Phillips and Poppy live as the world expects them too, but there is so much more to who they are. Kingston is the son of two soccer greats, so the game should be all he wants, right? Poppy is a top model, but that does not mean life is easy for her. Two people who hide so much of each other to the outside world, when they meet ...more

Hands down, one of my absolute FAVORITE Carrie Aarons books to date! Kingston and Poppy are two of the most interesting characters I've met recently and the more I read, the more I couldn't wait to learn more about them, and the layers to each of them are several and deep. The interactions between them don't start off on a positive note, but the more they're in the same proximity (seeing how they're neighbors), the more things begin to change between them. Carrie Aarons is a genius and master of words. She makes me swoon with her descriptions. She makes me pant for the main alpha male character. She never lets me down when it comes to her stories. I highly recommend her with any book she comes out with.

Poppy Raymond is an inspiration for girls everywhere. The fact that she went through hell and came out a strong, independent woman is something I deeply admire. She closed herself off to men because of what happened, and the cocky soccer player was the one to sneak his way into her heart, and frankly, vise versa.

Kingston used to go through women like a deck of cards but Poppy changed him. The fact that she was beautiful and is famous and is actually genuine. . . It’s something that changed his

Kingston Phillips is the son of two famous football stars. Whilst he has grown up with a silver spoon, it hasn't been a bed of roses. Poppy Raymonds is a famous model who hides her own secret. Can these damaged people find themselves become whole? Will their respective pasts see them drown? This was a great read that dealt beautifully with abuse. It showed growth and learning in journeys taken to overcome what had happened and revealed characters who loved deeply! A fantastic read

The Lion Heart is the second book in the Rogue Academy series by one of my favorite authors, Carrie Aarons. It can be read as standalone but I highly recommend reading The Second Coming since it’s just as amazing. It was also where I was first introduced to the cheeky Kingston Phillips and the sassy Poppy Raymond.

It’s been one year since Poppy walked away Kingston in that London club. One year since she shut him down. And now he was watching her strut down the runway with confidence and grace.
