Jane has used pseudonyms--Ellen Jamison, Diana Stuart, Olivia Sumner--but is now writing under her own name except for her Zebra/Pinnacle romances for which she uses Jane Anderson.

This anthology will come out in February 2009, just in time for Valentines Day. Each story includes some kind of magical kiss, from silver-wrapped chocolates to the unexpected kiss at just the right moment.
The stories are all fun, character-driven, and ultimately happy. While each has some kind of conflict, it's resolved by the end, and the main character or characters usually end up stronger and happier for having gotten through the difficulties.
The first, eponymous story, "Magical Kisses", is my personal favorite. Who hasn't played romantic second fiddle at least once in their life? In this story, Eliza does just that, helping her neighbor meet other women. She does help him find love, but not at all in the way either of them expected. This also has one of my favorite lines. In reference to being about to invite a strange man into her apartment, Eliza thinks, "... a belated attack of sanity stopped her."
While the style and voice varies with the different authors, the writing is consistently good throughout the anthology. Some of the situations are a little far-fetched, usually to make the story work out with a happy ending. Several of the stories suggest that just the right confrontation with an ex is all one needs to be completely free of relationship baggage and ready to move on to the next relationship. There may be women for whom that's true; I'm far from one of them. But, at least the stories acknowledge that you do need to get over your ex before you can fully give yourself to a new relationship.
I had fun reading this. It would, indeed, make good Valentines reading.

Magical Kisses (A Jewels of the Quill Valentine's Day Anthology): Six beautiful stories about the power of the one magical kiss. This is a very diverse anthology, a little somthing for everyone. I definitely recommend for any reader who still believes in the power of love.

Light reading for those who like romance of the tame sort.
