Hi, I’m Jordyn. I flew from New York to Culver City, CA to interview for the job of a lifetime.

When I walked into The Bookstore, I only wanted a steamy romance or two to help pass the time before my big meeting.

I walked out with a gorgeous and sweet, cinnamon roll who was more funny and charming than all of my favorite book boyfriends combined, which definitely wasn’t the

is there anything better than books that you just grip you from the first page and you know you're going to love it?? the romance novels talk alone is enought to sell me BUT ALSO to find out mike reads them and the story of how he got into them was so CUTE,, how do you expect me not to fall in love

this was so cute and funny and it gave me all the feels!!! most of this book takes place over the course of one day where they first meet at a bookstore and start taking about romance novels and go on

A fun, quick novella that feels like an ode to romance novels and the romance loving culture. Two people find each other in a romance bookstore, spend the day together and find themselves unable to imagine life without each other. So good!

Absolutely Adorable! I loved it. Jordyn and Mike have a sweet and steamy little story. It packs an emotional punch for just about 100 pages, even so, I would have loved to have more. This is my first sampling from Lucy Eden but it certainly will not be my last. I will be seeking out her books. Happy reading!

P.S. There is a list of romance books in the back of the book. Similar to an author's playlist. How sweet is that to give other authors a little shout out!? And a partic

Aww, this was adorable!
I, too, would like to find a handsome romance reader who also happens to blush at a romance-centric bookstore! 😍😍
Anyways, this short story had A+ chemistry and banter, which made the love-at-first-sight trope very believable.

I loved this book!

Mike meets (cute) Jordyn at The Bookstore. He's an avid reader of romance and we soon find out why. After he initiates a conversation about romance books and tropes, he knows he's met "the one". He doesn't want their banter to end, so he invites her to lunch. Jordyn's in town for an job interview and she needs to decide whether or not she trusts her instincts about Mike. Is he really a nice guy or a serial killer in disguise?!

They have a great time at lunch and decide to spend

Loved this!!

Jordyn & Mike were absolutely adorable and I immediately fell for both of them. Their meet-cute was sweet and fun and had me smiling big the entire time.

Within the first two chapters I had had already giggled numerous times and even teared up with emotion at the end of chapter two.

The teasing and flirting was delightfully charming and made the characters even more lovable. Mike was ever the gentleman, but he sure wanted to NOT be a gentleman sometimes. Their chemistry was sizzling

This is the cutest little thing I have ever read💗

Oh my, I loved Mike from just one page. This is the fastest time that I loved a character. He was sweet and very very charming.

I loved that she acknowledged that going with a guy that she doesn't know is a way to romance or a kill😅. I am glad she was at least a sane normal person.

I loved her parents and their social medias 😂❤️.

After this, I will check the author's other works cause this was beautiful.

A cute and fluffy love letter to romance books and their authors, with a number of them lovingly mentioned/discussed. It would have been a 4 star but for the definite insta-love side of things, which as it was so cute I'll forgive it on this occasion, but also yet another (1%er) potential boss/employee situation which I have to 🙄 and not forgive.

A few general thoughts on the romance genre:

It seems there's a growing trend in having MMCS in romance undergoing more 'feminine' pursuits which

One Sentence Summary: Jordyn is in Culver City, CA for a job interview when she meets Mike, a fellow romance reader, in a bookstore.

BLIND DATE WITH A BOOK BOYFRIEND was a really cute and adorable novella. I devoured it in an hour and it had me smiling, laughing, and swooning. This was sweet and incredibly romantic and I loved the banter between Jordyn and Mike. They spend a fun and flirty day together getting to know each other and I enjoyed watching them start to fa
This started off great and was a really fun read until about 75% of the story...then it just rushed to yet another predictable ending. (view spoiler) Sigh.
Note that on a Kindle, 'Blind Date' ends at @ 71%, followed by the first chapters of three other books: 'Everything's Better With Lisa', 'Everything's Better With Kimberly', and 'Cherishing the Goddess', PLUS, synopses for three other books. REALLY???

Jordyn and Mike (Micah) meet at a romance bookstore while she's in CA for a job interview. They instantly click and decide to spend the day together with Mike showing Jordyn around Culver City, CA.

The more time they spend with each other, both Jordyn and Mike start to realize that those little nudging feelings of "oh, I like this person" becomes something more. Oh, but Ms. Eden throws a bit of a twist into this tale of a blind date and a book boyfriend. What will they do?

This book is a quick romantic read and I really enjoyed reading it. I do love reading these short romance books.

I loved the characters and I thought they were adorable.

Jordyn went to have a job interview in New York city. She wanted to try and break away from her very over protective parents. She had an interview set up for her dream job, that was until fate stepped in and changed her life.

Mike is a lovely, hot and sexy guy and is very charming with his words, he's also the CEO of the company, G

Why can't this happen to me? Why can't I meet my soulmate in a romance bookstore?

In Blind date with a book boyfriend, we follow Jordan and Mike, who meet in a bookstore and decide to spend the day together. Now, I don't really care how much time a romance book takes place in; it could take place in 10 years or 24 hours and it could have the same effect on me because what I care about is that I see the char

This was cuter than I thought, yes, it was still a bit too cheesy and I didn’t like that it ended in a very traditional way (marriage and kids) but overall it was quite entertaining and funny. What I loved the most about this novella is that quite a few romance novels (romance authors supporting each other, I love to see it) were mentioned in it and the fact that the hero and heroine meet in a bookstore, I can’t, that’ll always be super romantic to me.

This was entertaining and cute, and definitely a fast read.

Though I’d say that the length of this book is one of my reasons why I rated it 3 stars—I wanted it to be longer!

Also, this was way too insta-love for my taste, but I understand given the length of this book; plus it’s cute because they met at a romance bookstore — not to mention, who wouldn’t want a guy who reads books (regardless of what genre).

I recommend it for those who needs a quick romance fix, just don’t expect too much and if

There were things about this book that drew me in right away. The title, the premise, the awesome cover. But all of those things were nothing compared to the way Lucy Eden snatched up my attention with the first page.

Blind Date with a Book Boyfriend follows Jordyn and Mike who have an instantaneous spark after meeting in a romance book store. Jordyn is in LA for an important job interview and Mike is oh-so-charming as he shows her around the neighborhood they’re in. This is definitely a quit re

Hooked from the first page

The perfect novella for romance lovers. If you read the first two sentences and you knew exactly what book is being referenced, you will adore this book. If you don't recognize it, don't worry, the answer comes soon enough and the author put a link in the appendix. Plus you will still love this book because it's got a hot romance novel reading hero and snappy dialogue and a whirlwind meet cute first date instant connection and a big gooey HEA. First of all wished this novella was a full novel. I want more of Jordyn and Mike. This novella is cute in an endearing kinda way. I love that Lucy Eden shouted out other romance authors throughout the book. This is what romance supposed to be a community sharing stories of hope and unrequited love. Perfection. Mike is the epitome of cinnamon roll and attentive hero and Jordyn is smart and go getter. I loved how the conflict resolved and they didn't have to break up. Clutch my pearls, so good.

Lucy Eden is the nom de plume of an romance obsessed author who writes the kind of romance she loves to read. She’s a sucker for alphas with a soft gooey center, over the top romantic gestures, strong & smart MCs, humor, love at first sight (or pretty damn close), happily ever afters & of course, steamy love scenes.
