Wow, Meghann Whistler is now an auto buy author for me! FALLING FOR THE INNKEEPER is only my first book by her but holy cow! She had my emotions all over the place. Once I started reading, it was very hard to stop! The twists and turns made it impossible to put down, as I had to know what was going to happen to Laura. She is raising her young daughter alone after divorcing her workaholic husband. When Jonathan, a big shot lawyer arrives on her doorstep, trying to convince her she needs to sell t ...more

I love a Love Inspired Romance once in a while. They are short and sweet, and a really enjoyable read! So I was happy to be able to review Meghan Whistler’s debut novel, Falling for the Inn Keeper. Set in Cape Cod at the lovely and charming Cape Cod Inn, with uniquely flavored characters that adds some interesting twists to the story, I loved following Laura and Jonathan’s story, along with their supporting characters. Laura and Jonathan were about as different as anyone

LOVE Inspired books are a favorite book series of mine. Many of the books in the series are short and an easy read.

I absolutely ENJOYED this LOVE Inspired book, Falling for the InnKeeper by Meghann Whistler. Laura Lessoway is a Single Mom. She finds out her mom wants to sell her Grandmother's Inn located in Cape Cod and Laura decides she is determined to save it from being sold. Her determination leads her to a meeting with a "big time lawyer", Jonathan Masters. The 2 are supposed to have a bus

Thank you in advance to the author, Meghann Whistler, for providing a complimentary review copy. A positive review was not required and all words are my own.

How could I not want to read and review this – favorite genre, single mom with a cute kid, cozy inn, Cape Cod – what wasn’t to like? All this from a debut author! So needless to say I was pretty excited to see this.

Right off, I simply adored Emma with her “Mr. Jonafin” and that instant connection – his way with Emma as well as the other kid

“She had to admit that there was something kind of swoon-worthy about a man who knew how to take apart a dishwasher, and who wasn’t afraid to wrestle rats.”

What an incredibly fun and heart-warming debut by Meghann Whistler! The dialogue is clever and full of sass, the characters are real, broken, and so lovable, the plot is well-laid out, and the town of Wynchmere Bay cute and charming. If you enjoy contemporary romance set in a small town, you will love this book.

Woohoo! What an absolutely stellar debut novel! From the Cape Cod setting to the banter to the adorable tutu sporting preschooler who steals every single scene she's in...well this is just a whole lot of awesomesauce any way you look at it.

Laura and Jonathan are on an endgame collision course. She's all about holding on to a family legacy and passing down traditions to her daughter. That means she wants to keep running the inn. Jonathan is her worst nightmare -- the lawyer tasked with closing th

Falling for the Innkeeper by Meghann Whistler is a sweet romance between two likable characters. Jonathan Masters may be a lawyer out to get the owners of The Sea Glass Inn to sell the rundown place to a large hotel chain, with the hopes that that will finally get him the partner position he has long worked for, but perhaps he’s not the driven businessman Laura Lessoway thinks he is.

Laura is a single mother who has had plenty of heartache in her life. It’s why she wants to hold onto the Inn her

I loved this book. It was a fast read that kept me interested. I did not want to put it down. Laura has inherited the inn that she considers her only real home with her mother from her grandmother. The only requirement is that they have to live in it and work the inn together to keep it. Otherwise, it goes to the local church. Can Laura save the inn?

When a businessman shows up that reminds her too much of her ex-husband about selling the inn she begins to unravel. It’s only made worse as she sta

Falling for the Innkeeper was a sweet, romantic, Hallmark-movie-worthy journey--one I thoroughly enjoyed! I loved the small-town feel of the story, set in Cape Cod, and how Laura was friends with most business owners in the area. It made her life at the inn more genuine and down-to-earth. The playful banter between Laura and Jonathon was amusing and having Laura’s daughter Emma as a go-between was just too adorable. The interactions and affection between Jonathon and Emma were heartwarming and o ...more

Overall, this was a cute little story. It made for a quick, sweet and clean romance read. I really adored the small town on Cape Cod setting. It felt nice and relaxed which really leant to a great atmosphere to watch a budding relationship grow. I was ready to hop into the book to get myself some of those pancakes and hit up the candy shop. Can I book myself in at the Sea Glass Inn for next weekend?

I felt engaged throughout the story and really connected to the characters. I loved how you could

In her debut novel, Meghann Whistler crafted a very likable character in Laura Lessoway. She's a single mom who's heart is planted in the weathered but stately Sea Glass Inn on Cape Cod. Laura is determined to succeed in her endeavor regarding her late grandmother's hotel, even though handsome Jonathan Masters is stepping all over her plans. But, will he succeed?

I enjoyed this fresh romance. It has strong faith elements and a love story that will soar off the pages. In all, it's a wonderful read

It makes me want to travel to Cape Cod and meet these life-like characters! Everything was so real and vividly described while the plot quickly unfolded, keeping the pages flipping fast.

This was my first time reading a Christian romance and I found it just delightful! What a joy to read a book where the characters could be any person I know, facing challenges and handling them with as much grace and courage as they can. I found the setting of Cap Cod and The Sea Glass Inn charming and I could envision the beautiful chandelier made by the main character Laura and her grandmother. I am a sucker for a great romance novel and Falling for the Inn Keeper is no exception. Laura Lessoway is a single mom raising her daughter in Cape Cod. Laura is grounded in her faith and that has allowed her to move forward with grace and humility even when life gets hard. The Sea Glass Inn was the perfect backdrop for romance to blossom.

Take a trip to a charming Cape Cod inn in Meghann Whistler’s Falling for the Innkeeper!

Laura Lessoway cannot just let her mother sell her grandmother’s inn, the place she considers home. Of course, big-city attorney Jonathan Masters arrives in town to change her mind. They may be at cross purposes, but the spark between Laura and Jonathan proves hard to deny—but they have plenty of complications to sort through in order for their romance to succeed.

Falling for the Innkeeper was such a good story! Laura and Jonathan felt like real people making their way through life, carrying burdens from their childhood that colored the way they viewed themselves and others.

Right from the beginning, the reader understands that Jonathan is a focused lawyer, who has given up any type of personal life in order to attain status in his field. However, I loved that his true personality peeked out almost instantly in the way he treated Laura’s little girl, Emma.

I enjoyed Emma so much in Falling for the innkeeper. She is Laura young daughter. Emma and Jonathan has a special connection right from the start. Hard for her to say his name but she gets his attention. Emma is just so cute.

Jonathan is there because of his job. Will he be able to do what his boss wants? Falling for the innkeeper can make a difference.

What a charming story!! Lighthearted, fun, entertaining, and perfect for a quick summer read. Laura is the single mom with the adorable daughter that recently inherited her family's inn, and is currently running, and Jonathan is the lawyer that comes representing a big chain company that wants to purchase said inn. Laura is a single mom who runs a charming Cape Cod inn, left by her grandmother to her and her mom...with some conditions. Jonathan, not knowing these conditions, is the Boston attorney sent to convince Laura to sell. It’s clear they have an immediate attraction to one another (although they try not to show it) plus Jonathan and little Emma, Laura’s daughter, take to each other like two peas in a pod. But each of their pasts is holding them back.
