The way this book is presented does not make it easy to learn from. Unlike the Japanese and Korean editions in this series, it is not easy to quickly look up a grammar point you've come across; instead, you have to work through it and complete exercises as if it's a textbook/workbook, which is not want I wanted or expected when I ordered it. It might suit some learners that way, but all I was after was a quick reference to look up new grammar points or to find a way to express something I wanted to say. It's not easy to do either of those things given this book's structure.

As a non native Chinese teacher, I loved this book. It’s beautiful!!! It has everything anyone needs to know about basic to intermediate Chinese grammar. I wish this had existed back in the day, it would have saved me 20 years ago. Sadly, it did not exist back then.
