This book was pitched as a Hallmark movie in book form, it delivered, and that's great.

Except for the part where I hate Hallmark movies.

Bailey loves Christmas. In fact, you could say that she's obsessed with it. Everything from the holiday cheer to the ugly sweaters brings her joy, but what she really wants in her life is Christmas magic, specifically, the enchantment of love, and a kiss und

Genre Young Adult (Middle Grade too) | Christmas Romance

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS is the CUTEST Christmas book I’ve ever read. It’s also my first of the season so HOORAY for that! Anyway, this book seems to be geared for the young adult crowd and I agree BUT I think a YOUNGER bunch in the group would be the best fit for this one. It’s very cutsie, cozy, and sweet. If I had to describe the perfect age range this novel, I would actually say 12-14. So maybe it’s more middle grade

This book made my heart so happy! Witty and warm, it made me long to crank up the Christmas tunes and rummage about for some cocoa! And the romance— the romance! I’ve swooned!

I love almost every book that's about Christmas and this was no exception! This was an adorable and fluffy contemporary romance that's so perfect for the holiday season.
Bailey loved everything having to do with Christmas, and this year she’s hoping to capture the magic of the holiday and have the perfect kiss under the mistletoe. Things get complicated when not one, but two swoon-worthy boys take her on adorable winter dates.

Super cute YA holiday read. I read this in one sitting. The main character talks about how she wants holiday magic like in a Hallmark movie. This book is perfect for holiday movie fans like me. I don’t want to give any spoilers since there are two potential love interests, so I’ll just say I love the cute love story, I definitely recommend this book if you are looking for a light and entertaining holiday read.

All I want for Christmas was just the perfect cup of cheer I was looking for the start of this holiday season. It was a Christmas romantic comedy for young adults that had a Hallmark Christmas movie feel.

The book was cute, fast paced and addicting.

It is perfect for readers looking for a bit of Christmas magic this season.

I loved the plot, scenery, and the characters. I also loved the fact that the main character worked at a bookstore. I just love it when characters work at a bookstore period.

4 stars most of the year, but 5 for Christmas! Bailey is a high school junior who wants nothing more than to be kissed under the mistletoe this year. She works at a bookstore where she helps this hot boy from school and then she meets a gorgeous boy with a British accent! Which one will she choose? Perfect for fans of Hallmark Christmas movies and believers in the magic of Christmas.

Big thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.
This book was exactly as I imagined, very much like a Hallmark movie. I binged it in two sittings since it was so short. I just really wanted a feel good book that would lift my spirits and in that aspect, this book did deliver. If you want a very simple romance full of atmospheric Christmas dates and cheer, you’ll love this book.

All the characters were very cliche, pretty underdeveloped, and the main character was honestly quite annoying at times if we’re being honest. Obviously, she’s still in

First, I have to say a huge thank you to NetGalley and Underlined (an imprint of Random House Children’s Books) for giving me an ARC of this Christmas-y read in exchange for an honest review. All I Want for Christmas is about a girl named Bailey who has a heart overflowing with the Christmas Spirit. The one thing she wants for Christmas this year is the Perfect Kiss Under the Mistletoe. But when two guys catch her eye she has to wonder if her wish will come true. This a
This book was so cute! Sure, most of the characters were underdeveloped, and the love triangle was irritating, but it was still adorable! I’m a Christmas lover like Bailey, and I was reading this to get into the Christmas mood. It definitely did its job! I’m ready to go curl up with a Hallmark movie, or go bake some cookies.

All I Want For Christmas follows Bailey, who asks Santa for one thing: love. While she works in a cozy bookstore, and organizes Christmas cookie swaps, she finds love amid a

For Bailey, this really was the most wonderful time of the year. From the top of her head to the bottom of her toes, she no holds barred loved Christmas. Bring on the carols, cookie baking, and present wrapping! She was ready and willing to do anything to make Christmas wonderful for every person. But this year, she also wanted something for herself - a Christmas kiss. It never seemed probable before, but with two suitors, it seemed like more of a possibility than ever.

    Straight truth, this book

Christmas isn’t far off. It seems like just as the clock struck midnight on November 1st that a majority of my friends swapped their witches hats for elf ears, and the holiday cheer has been full speed ahead since. I myself have uncharacteristically excited for the holidays, which led me to request this cute little YA Romance.

Bailey is the epitome of holiday cheer. Working in a bookstore and volunteer gift wrapper, she’s ready to embrace customers who need help finding the perfect bookish gifts

This book was the Christmas spark of joy I needed in my life.

If you’re looking for some Christmas magic that will leave you feeling like a happy melted pile of gooey holiday cheer, then this is the book for you.

I read this book with my mom because we were both in dire need of some Christmas cheer. After we read a little bit she said to me “this is you!” So much of Bailey’s inner monologue and describing her love of Christmas is 100% me. Seeing myself within pages of a book is such a wonderful su

Very cute book that gives you all the Christmas feels. I thought Bailey and her family and friends were a lot of fun and well-written. The romance was light and very teen appropriate. My only complaint is how Christmas-obsessed Bailey was because it was mentioned *all* the time. Also plot twist was a little predictable, but still fun.

All I Want For Christmas is such a sweet holiday read! This book is full of Christmas magic. It’s heartwarming and an absolute delight. Perfect for Hallmark Christmas movie fans from teens to adults.

I'm not a huge fan of Hallmark holiday movies- they're too cheesy for me. This super sweet teen holiday romance is perfect for Hallmark holiday fans.

A few smallish things (1) the product placement in this book ridiculous and won't let the book age well (S'Well water bottle, Essie nail polish, Timberland boots, etc.) (2) The characters names and vague (sometimes) analogies to other holiday stories kept me trying to read between the lines more than reading the story. This story was cute. I think it's very obvious from the description and the cover that it's the book version of a Hallmark Christmas movie, and it very much lived up to that. The scenery was cozy and perfect, the chapters were all titled after Christmas songs, and there wasn't an over abundance of drama. It's the perfect book to curl up under a blanket wishing it was Christmas already. It'll get you in the holiday spirit.

All I Want for Christmas was a fun and breezy Christmas read. It felt like reading a Hallmark movie for young adults and I loved that. Bailey was so relateable and the author was really good at setting the scene as well as rendering characters quickly and efficiently in a way that endeared me to them. It was all very charming and cheery...and then in the 11th hour, it took a weird turn. Not that it was a bad turn necessarily, just didn’t fit with the rest of the book. Bailey Briggs works at a bookstore, volunteers on her days off, and lives for all things Christmas. Her friends have warned her that she may be a little too intense about the holidays. However, the only thing Bailey really wants this holiday season doesn't come from a store. She is secretly hoping for a little Christmas Magic in the form of a kiss from a special someone under the mistletoe. Jacob Marley is the chill, cool guy, athlete, and definitely not the guy she will kissing. This susp

Sadly this Christmas Romance was just not for me. It had all the things I adore in a cute Christmas romance: a girl who loves Christmas, working at a cute store (in this case a bookstore), a very adorable British boy who just swoops in and saves her, a jock classmate that seems to be more than what his stereotype appear, and Christmas baking. Now to explain why this just didn’t work for me, Bailey is.... juvenile... let me say this, maybe I’m getting old, but reading from her voice made me feel ...more

First sentence: I should realize it’s a bad sign when I trip hard over the entry to Winslow’s Bookshop. “Whaaaaa!” I yelp as I give the typically sticky front door my customary push … and go unexpectedly flying into the store, the shop’s brass bell announcing my unceremonious entrance.

Premise/plot: All I Want for Christmas is a clean YA romance set during the holidays. Bailey Briggs, our heroine, LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Christmas. In her daydreams she's starring in a Hallmark Christmas movie. What s

This book was a mixed bag for me (mixed toy sack? Too much?)

Pros: It captures all the Christmas magic I'd hoped it would. The author has a phenomenal way of crafting holiday visuals and there were several times I was tempted to set the book down and go make a cup of hot chocolate to enjoy with it, just to capture a little of the sparkle for myself. I loved Bailey's family dynamic and how she was written like an actual teenager.

That's where my cons come into place though. For as solid as this sto

Since I'm full of Christmas cheer, I'm going to award All I Want for Christmas four stars. The story is 100% a book interpretation of a cheesy Christmas Hallmark movie.... and I was *here for it*!

Realistically, i admit the book doesn't quite deserve a four star rating. There wasn't a ton of depth to the characters, and I found Bailey to be immature compared to what a regular 16ish old girl is. Also, the ending was.... kinda weird. I love me a good love triangle, but I didn't feel like the resolu

First of all: My digital copy of the book has the author listed as Christa Roberts while on NetGalley it says it is by Wendy Loggia. However, the description is the same so there's an error somewhere in there.

This is a slight story totally in keeping with its Hallmark movie inspiration right down to a touch of magic. I can picture Bailey smiling broadly throughout the story as she wraps herself in all that is Christmas while navigating her way between "problems" such as being too generous for h

If you’re looking for a fun, sugar-sweet YA contemporary holiday romance to escape into, look no further! This book is EXACTLY what I needed right now. It has everything a girl could want: a meet-cute romance, bookstores, lattes, Christmas cheer, and a little bit of magic. I was immediately hooked by Bailey’s unflinching optimism and positivity; she’s the kind of character I see so much of myself in. But she also has that naive,

I was so excited to be approved for this book as a bookish Christmas romance is everything I'm hoping for this holiday season in my Christmas books and movies. Overall, I thought that the premise of the book was very interesting and while I wasn't vibing with the story as well as I would have liked I still found it mostly enjoyable.

To the reviewers that did not like the Hallmark-feel to this book, I feel like the description of the book all but gave away the Hallmark aspect. That is on you.

As for me, I love Hallmark movies around the Christmas season. They warm you up just as much as a mug of hot cocoa and a fireplace on a cold winter's day. I enjoyed some of the Hallmark factors in this book but there were also a couple of wrinkles that made it difficult to rate it higher. One is the relationship between Bailey and Jacob.

3.5 for wholesome holiday cheer with a twist

    Great holiday vibes
Realistic teen main and love interest
    Short, sweet & to-the-point

I think if I was a teen, I'd find this suitably cute as a holiday read. I think the love interest for our Christmas-obsessed protagonist is just the right amount of believably obtuse teenage boy and the teenagers act like *gasp* teenagers! It isn't often that I pick up YA romance that isn't hard hitting or some kind of fantasy/thriller mash-up as well. I forgot how n
