Bailey Briggs is counting down the days to Christmas: she lives for holiday music, baking cookies, going on snowy sleigh rides, and wearing her light-up reindeer ears to work at Winslow's bookstore. But all she really wants this year is the ...more

This book was pitched as a Hallmark movie in book form, it delivered, and that's great.
Except for the part where I hate Hallmark movies.
Bailey loves Christmas. In fact, you could say that she's obsessed with it. Everything from the holiday cheer to the ugly sweaters brings her joy, but what she really wants in her life is Christmas magic, specifically, the enchantment of love, and a kiss und ...more
Genre Young Adult (Middle Grade too) | Christmas Romance
ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS is the CUTEST Christmas book I’ve ever read. It’s also my first of the season so HOORAY for that! Anyway, this book seems to be geared for the young adult crowd and I agree BUT I think a YOUNGER bunch in the group would be the best fit for this one. It’s very cutsie, cozy, and sweet. If I had to describe the perfect age range this novel, I would actually say 12-14. So maybe it’s more middle grade ...more
I love almost every book that's about Christmas and this was no exception! This was an adorable and fluffy contemporary romance that's so perfect for the holiday season.
Bailey loved everything having to do with Christmas, and this year she’s hoping to capture the magic of the holiday and have the perfect kiss under the mistletoe. Things get complicated when not one, but two swoon-worthy boys take her on adorable winter dates.
The whole book was just so sweet, it made me want to curl up by ...more
Thank you Random House Children’s for providing e-arc in exchange for honest review.
The book was cute, fast paced and addicting.
It is perfect for readers looking for a bit of Christmas magic this season.
I loved the plot, scenery, and the characters. I also loved the fact that the main character worked at a bookstore. I just love it when characters work at a bookstore period.

Big thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.
All the characters were very cliche, pretty underdeveloped, and the main character was honestly quite annoying at times if we’re being honest. Obviously, she’s still in ...more
First, I have to say a huge thank you to NetGalley and Underlined (an imprint of Random House Children’s Books) for giving me an ARC of this Christmas-y read in exchange for an honest review. All I Want for Christmas is about a girl named Bailey who has a heart overflowing with the Christmas Spirit. The one thing she wants for Christmas this year is the Perfect Kiss Under the Mistletoe. But when two guys catch her eye she has to wonder if her wish will come true. This a ...more

If you’re looking for some Christmas magic that will leave you feeling like a happy melted pile of gooey holiday cheer, then this is the book for you.
I read this book with my mom because we were both in dire need of some Christmas cheer. After we read a little bit she said to me “this is you!” So much of Bailey’s inner monologue and describing her love of Christmas is 100% me. Seeing myself within pages of a book is such a wonderful su ...more
It’ll make you want to eat cookies and drink hot chocolate after a long day at the Christmas tree farm.
Bailey Briggs LOVES Christmas (same, girl) and all she wants is the coveted kiss under the mistletoe! This holiday season, two boys have caught her eye. Will her Christmas kiss be with the mysterio ...more
A few smallish things (1) the product placement in this book ridiculous and won't let the book age well (S'Well water bottle, Essie nail polish, Timberland boots, etc.) (2) The characters names and vague (sometimes) analogies to other holiday stories kept me trying to read between the lines more than reading the story. (3) Each of the titles were n ...more

Bailey Briggs works at a bookstore, volunteers on her days off, and lives for all things Christmas. Her friends have warned her that she may be a little too intense about the holidays. However, the only thing Bailey really wants this holiday season doesn't come from a store. She is secretly hoping for a little Christmas Magic in the form of a kiss from a special someone under the mistletoe. Jacob Marley is the chill, cool guy, athlete, and definitely not the guy she will kissing. This susp ...more
Premise/plot: All I Want for Christmas is a clean YA romance set during the holidays. Bailey Briggs, our heroine, LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Christmas. In her daydreams she's starring in a Hallmark Christmas movie. What s ...more
Pros: It captures all the Christmas magic I'd hoped it would. The author has a phenomenal way of crafting holiday visuals and there were several times I was tempted to set the book down and go make a cup of hot chocolate to enjoy with it, just to capture a little of the sparkle for myself. I loved Bailey's family dynamic and how she was written like an actual teenager.
That's where my cons come into place though. For as solid as this sto ...more
Realistically, i admit the book doesn't quite deserve a four star rating. There wasn't a ton of depth to the characters, and I found Bailey to be immature compared to what a regular 16ish old girl is. Also, the ending was.... kinda weird. I love me a good love triangle, but I didn't feel like the resolu ...more
This is a slight story totally in keeping with its Hallmark movie inspiration right down to a touch of magic. I can picture Bailey smiling broadly throughout the story as she wraps herself in all that is Christmas while navigating her way between "problems" such as being too generous for h ...more
If you’re looking for a fun, sugar-sweet YA contemporary holiday romance to escape into, look no further! This book is EXACTLY what I needed right now. It has everything a girl could want: a meet-cute romance, bookstores, lattes, Christmas cheer, and a little bit of magic. I was immediately hooked by Bailey’s unflinching optimism and positivity; she’s the kind of character I see so much of myself in. But she also has that naive, ...more
I was so excited to be approved for this book as a bookish Christmas romance is everything I'm hoping for this holiday season in my Christmas books and movies. Overall, I thought that the premise of the book was very interesting and while I wasn't vibing with the story as well as I would have liked I still found it mostly enjoyable.
At times it felt like the story was dragging on but the romance parts I was compl ...more
As for me, I love Hallmark movies around the Christmas season. They warm you up just as much as a mug of hot cocoa and a fireplace on a cold winter's day. I enjoyed some of the Hallmark factors in this book but there were also a couple of wrinkles that made it difficult to rate it higher. One is the relationship between Bailey and Jacob. ...more
Great holiday vibes
Realistic teen main and love interest
Short, sweet & to-the-point
I think if I was a teen, I'd find this suitably cute as a holiday read. I think the love interest for our Christmas-obsessed protagonist is just the right amount of believably obtuse teenage boy and the teenagers act like *gasp* teenagers! It isn't often that I pick up YA romance that isn't hard hitting or some kind of fantasy/thriller mash-up as well. I forgot how n ...more
