This superb compilation of satisfying and easy-to-make one-dish meals includes creamy casseroles, hearty stews, skillet suppers -- exciting ideas for both everyday meals and entertaining! There are full-color photographs of many of the recipes throughout.
I severely underestimated how outdated this would be, haha. Everything was so incredibly unhealthy and called for processed box/can mixes instead of from scratch. Definitely going in my donate pile!
Had this cookbook almost my whole married life. It's not a bad cookbook, but nothing exceptional. Lots of casseroles for when I feel like an easy meal at night. Actually, I love casseroles. Not sure if it's because they're easy to make or if they actually taste good.
Of course I'm not worried about the brand names for the products that are mentioned. This cookbook is so old that I believe a few of the products mentioned in the ingredient lists are not even being sold anymore.
This is another "husband food" book as the recipes are hearty (and fairly heavy). They also use a lot of processed food. What I find this cookbook really useful for, though, is making "freezer food" ahead of time, as the one dish meals freeze really well, and making casseroles and such to take to other people (friends who are moving, have just had a baby, etc).
