A fun book by author Andrea Kane (she has launched her website fionamckayjewelry.com) which had a mystery swilumg into its depths, with clues drawn in the tapestry panels.

Fiona's mentor Rose was the antiquities dealer who was highly knowledgeable about Celtic designs and was helping her tesearch her ancestral tapestry panels. One evening, Fiona found her dead. The shock made her rush to her brother Ryan and his team Forensics Instincts, and they started investigating. I had to say quite a few vi

This one was very interesting. I liked how the heritage from Ryan and Fiona's family came into play. Loved how the team worked together to figure things out and beat the bad guy, although it was a bit iffy at the end. I think my favorite part of this one was Fiona's gifts to the team and why she picked them. ...more

No Stone Unturned by Andrea Kane is #8 in the Forensic Instinct Series. It is about Jewelry designer Fiona McKay who is supposed to have a meeting with her friend Rose Flaherty who is an antiquities leader and is helping Fiona research some tapestries that are in the McKay family.

Upon entering Rose's shop, she finds her friend dead on the floor. She is sure her friend did not die accidentally but was murdered.

No Stone Unturned is a mystery, crime thriller, and history lesson woven together for a well-paced, suspenseful read.

Arriving at her evening appointment with an elderly antiquities dealer, Fiona McKay finds the woman dead. After an intense police interrogation, a mini-meltdown, and comfort and insight from her older brother, Ryan, it’s clear Rose Flaherty was murdered, and the research she was doing for Fiona may be connected… which means Fiona could be in danger too.

Enter Ryan’s coworkers from

No Stone Unturned, #8 in Andrea Kane’s Forensic Instincts contemporary romance suspense/mystery series read quickly, kept my attention and I enjoyed reading it. I didn’t expect the twist at the end - so yay! Each book in Kane’s Forensic Instincts series can be read as standalone titles (I have especially liked the last 5) but updates of the various members of the FI team since previous books occurs in each novel, as well - Psychic “Claire-voyant” and her computer genius boyfriend Ryan; FI’s driv ...more

Andrea Kane has done it again. I loved No Stone Unturned and could not put to down and had me guessing as to the real identity of the killer. No Stone Unturned is the eighth book in the Forensic Instincts series, so it was wonderful catching up with the team at Forensic Instincts. Forensic Instincts is a private investigation firm that sometimes operates in the gray areas. In the opening pages of Forensic Instincts, Rose Flaherty, antiquities expert and shop owner and discovered dead by Ryan McK ...more

I have enjoyed the novels featuring Forensic Instincts and this is another good one. I am always intrigued by the various abilities of the FI team members. Ryan, the tech geek, comes to the forefront as his sister, a jewelry designer, is the one who discovers a murdered woman. We get to see more of Ryan's personal side as he comes along side his sister and is instrumental in FI's investigation into the murder.

I like how Kane creates a good balance of investigative procedure and the personal ele

I really enjoyed this book. Now that the personalities of the members of Forensic Instincts has been developed it is a pleasure to spend time with them.
Ryan has a sister, who knew?! Fiona comes running to her big brother when she finds a dead body. Ryan and Claire are together when Fiona comes by, great to see the Ryan/Fiona interaction and the “my brother has a girlfriend” interaction as well. Claire is fine tuned to Fiona’s distress. After Fiona’s apartment is ransacked FI takes Fiona’s “case

This is the eighth book in this series. Each book can be read as a stand alone novel. Readers of mystery/suspense novels will enjoy this series. I have not read every book in this series but with the hand full of books that I have read, I have gotten to know the members of the Forensic Instincts team. It is not just mainly comprised of men but some women as well.

In fact, this book features a female member in Claire. She and Ryan worked well together. However, don't count Fiona out yet. She was

I always enjoy Andrea Kane's Forensic Instincts books. The newest book is focused on Ryan's younger sister Fiona who is a jeweler designer, most notably Celtic inspired designs. She stumbled upon the dead body of one of her mentors, renowned antiques expert Rose Flaherty. Soon Fiona is in danger and the team sends in reinforcements. Fiona a very likeable character, along with members of the team that help such as Claire and Casey. There's a lot of well researched Irish folklore and while it's no ...more

The race is on and death follows in it’s wake. Only one of those chasing this dream knows exactly what’s in that pot of gold at the rainbow’s end.

It’s a story that’s outlined in the McKay’s family tapestries and no one has been able to translate it yet. The tapestries are the inspiration for Fiona’s jewelry collection and she wants to learn the story. Will she live long enough to figure it out?

If you like to get involved in the thrill of the chase, this book is for you. I couldn’t turn the pages

No Stone Unturned is a complex, plot-driven adventure with a unique investigative team.

This is the eighth Forensic Instincts novel, but only the second one I’ve read. Each works well as a stand-alone novel.

While we do get to know the individual characters as the story progresses, the focus is on the intricate plot. This story takes us from a jewelry designer and a local murder, to former IRA members, to a family’s Irish heritage and hidden treasure.

I really enjoy the team’s diverse and unorthodo

No Stone Unturned is rather like a few of the forensic television shows except…much more enjoyable to watch. I say watch because that’s what it was like to me. With its good development of characters, I felt as if I could see them. The clues and hints made it seem easy to picture one’s surroundings. I thought the back and forth little bit of romance and dialog added even more to the story.

This is the first Andrea Kane book I have read and even though I could tell the characters existed in previo

This is the eighth in FI series but the first one I have read and I intend to go back and read the other seven. Along with trying to solve who did it I was intrigued about Irish history and I could visualize the jewelry that Fiona McCay was making. Fiona needed more information on Some Irish tapestries that belonged to her family. She turns to antique store owner, Rose Flaherty, who sets up a meeting to tell Fiona what she has discovered. When Fiona arrives she discovers Rose dead, this sets the ...more

3.9 Who killed Rose and Why? The book was a good thriller. I really enjoyed the excitement in the last 50 pages or so. IN this story the author explains a lot about Irish symbolism..in their jewelry and tapestries. The main character is Fiona ( who really has her own irish jewelry line) . Fiona is trying to figure out the symbolism in her great grandmother’s tapestries. So are the bad guys (IRA and RUC) . All think it leads to treasure. Fiona has her allies joining her friends who work in the FI ...more

3.5 stars.

We went back to the FI team for this one and it's Ryan's younger sister Fiona who's in trouble after finding her antiquities expert dead in her premises. It's a pretty straight-forward case as far as who the killer is but there is a little bit of a twist involving the IRA.

I liked the neat ending and the real online jewelry shop opened to sell Fiona's jewelry mentioned in the book. I'm not sure if they are my style but interesting nevertheless.

Another excellent story by Andrea Kane. I did have the bad guy figured out about 1/2 way through but I didn't have the rest figured out. I was fascinated with the Irish history and the jewelry! I did have to look at the website to see the jewelry from the story in the real forms. Absolutely gorgeous! The ending was a surprise, however if you are from New York and know the city and history of the places discussed it may not be as much of a surprise for you. ...more

I thought this was a very good read. Well written, interesting and satisfying. Having travelled to Ireland 4 times, it brought back good memories, when places we have been were included in the story line. Well worth the time to read.
I read the first book in the series and now th a newest book, on to those in the middle!

My first Andrea Kane book and was happy to find this Forensic Instincts series and a story with so many ties to historical Ireland. That the main character is a designer of Celtic-inspired jewelry added to the interest. Full of suspense. My one objection: Some scattered rough language knocked off the 5th star.

No Stone Unturned was a great read; a treasure hunt after a murder of a antique dealer. Fast paced and full of interesting information. I really enjoy the Forensic Instincts novels; such interesting characters and the relationship between Clare and Ryan is fun to read.

Sorry, I just could not get into this. I read about half and skimmed the rest. It was slow moving and too much Celtic detail for my taste. I usually like this author, but, this novel- not so much.

Just an OK read

I have read all the Forensic Instincts books and this one was lacking actions by all the Forensic Instincts people. Too much emphasis on the evil guys.
