When Pug watches out the window as his human leaves the house, he wishes he could get a hug. When he asks the cat, he’s told no because cat doesn’t like hugs. He proceeds to ask for hugs from many other pets in the house. Will Pug get his hug? Who will give it to him? Adorably whimsical illustrations are colorful, bold, and bright. The text is done in bold, black, large font that is easy for readers to see if they are part of a group. Pug Hug is a charming and sweet story about an affectionate pug who is looking for a hug. It’s a perfect read aloud for any time but would especially work well during the month of February. Highly recommended for pug lovers and hug enthusiasts!

A little confused by the printing, the animals do not follow on as stated and there's random love heart pages spread throughout the book. Not too sure if these should be here?

Other than that, great repetition and clear pictures for my little one to understand.

My 4 year old wants this night after night. Simple language, repetition and rhyme all used effectively. Generates empathy.for the MC
