This is the final chapter in the Aces High MC - Charleston Series. You must read this series in order!

Gretchen

One minute he was there, and we were about to start our life together. The next, he was gone, along with my heart and our baby I’d been carrying.
The reason my entire world was taken from me left a hole in my heart and a dark stain on my soul that I didn’t think I’d ever scrub off.
Then one day Kane refused to allow me to keep wallowing. He made me live again, and despite knowing it’s what he wanted I wasn’t sure even he was strong enough to make me love again. Before I could even think of moving on, vengeance needed to be mine. For Me. For him. For them.

Kane

She had been the bubbly life of the shop before the accident. While I’d admired her, I’d overlooked her too, just like I had with Ever for all those years. Once I saw her, it was too late. She’d fallen for him instead. Then there was the accident, and time for her to heal, but eventually I knew I’d make her mine. I promised to help heal her heart, seek her vengeance, and see her smile once again like she used to.

3 ⭐⭐⭐ - OK decent reads
========================
Our heroine has a crush on hero, but she is invisible to him because he is in love with Ever. While he is heartbroken watching Ever fall in love with another guy, he drowns his sorrows at a different woman every day.
But our heroine is not frozen, she meets a wonderful guy and falls in love! It is beautiful to see her treated with love and care while our hero is still fixed on Ever.
But our heroine suffers the loss of that love and receives the hero's help to recover and overcome everything. It was not easy and it was painful.

Kane, for instance, is a gorgeous man; he’s sweet, kind, funny as hell, and completely oblivious to the fact that I have had a fool’s crush on him for the better part of a year.

Kane had come out at some point too and stood near the window watching them. His fists clenched tightly, released, and then clenched again. He didn’t even realize we were standing there until he turned to head back toward his space.

My tummy fluttered at the though, because it was another reminder that he would never be mine. He was hung up on a girl who obviously hadn’t noticed him. I was pretty sure I could chalk that up to unrequited karma. It didn’t matter though.

Oh well, there was always tomorrow, and lucky for me, just as I was about to head out the door, a fine ass red-head with a killer smile and tits for days walked in.

I chuckled and pulled the redhead closer as she sucked on my earlobe. Only this time when I glanced back up, it was to see shocked disapproval on Gretchen’s face before she quickly turned away.

Instead, I decided to drown my sorrows in pussy I knew wouldn’t have any problem climbing on the back of my Harley, or on my lap, for that matter. I called up Shelly Andrews and told her to meet me at the shop while I cleaned up my space and waited.

I ended up going to find someone to take the edge off and the hurt away. First it was Nicole, then Sandy, and Melanie, and, well, there were a couple more. I kept trying, and it never worked. Not a single one of them could take my mind off what I thought I was losing out on.

“You need to knock your shit off. I know you had it bad for Ever and she never noticed, because you never manned up and told her, but bringing every floozy in Charleston to work to flaunt them in front of the rest of us before you go have your little fuck fests is getting tiresome!”

“Maybe you need to take a clue from the club guys. They think of their bikes as a sacred space. The only women who get a ride are family or the woman they’re claiming.”

He was so concerned that I not hurt Ever’s precious feelings that he forgot about the Gretchen portion of the equation.

“Low blow, Kane. Especially since you don’t care that what you want me to do would hurt me. It’s just about her.”

I could feel Toby with me. I felt his caress on my cheek, just the way he used to do whenever we parted. He would say, “I’m taking a piece of you with me until I see you again.”

I got frustrated with the main characters. In the previous books, Ever and others but especially Ever tries to be there for Gretchen. She pushes them away at every turn and she even says so. All of a sudden she’s mad at Ever and the MC for abandoning her? And Kane, the over protective man in book 1, gets in Ever’s face too? Someone sets them straight but it made me irritated with her.

Full circle...
I can't believe that's the end of such an amazing series. And for starters before I get into this review you so need to start at the beginning with "The Other Princess" book 1 in the Aces High MC - Charleston Chapter. It's the beginning of an amazing heartwrenching series. With each installment and book you get a little bit more and backstory of the questions left at the end of The Other Princess. You won't be disappointed.....
This book is going to explain so much...it's also going to rip you apart one tear at a time. It's hard to believe how full circle this series came at the end. It all started with Ever and kind of ended with some Ever too. That's what I call a full circle. These characters are going to crawl into you're heart and never leave it. Ever is one of those characters...even though this is Gretchen's book I don't want to take away from her story so here goes...
Gretchen's character was amazingly written...she suffered such heartbreak when she should of been celebrating love, life and the ultimate beginning to a forever kind of love and family. It's literally ripped from her. Toby and her were great together. 3 lives changed in a heartbeat, and tore a lot of lives and happiness away in one instant in time. The only thing I'm going to say is sometimes it takes a little darkness for the light to shine brighter. And Kane is that brightness after time...It's going to be a long road, patience, and above all love to restore Gretchen to a new different kind of woman that she becomes. I'm not going to give it all away it's hard to put into words without ruining the reading experience for a new reader. Just know that this is a great series and this book is a page turner.
I'm going to leave you with a song that I think goes along with this book ..... and that's Sully Erna (huge fan btw) and it's called " Different kind of tears"
It's a different kind of hurt,
It's a different kind of lonely,
It's a deeper kind of pain,
Don't act like you know this,
Cause what you don't see,
It's buried inside of me.
All these cries always tryin to disappear,
These different kind of tears.....
This song resonates for some of the book and I think after you read the book you'll agree so give a listen.
Huge fan of this author's work and I can't wait to see what she brings us next. She's definitely a one-click for myself.
I highly recommend this book and whole series.
Thanks Jamie Nibarger Ellis

This next one was okay. The connection between the H and h wasn't all that. Instead, it was a case of, the H noticing the heroine when he saw someone else was interested in her. Or when it was pointed out to him that she had unrequited crush on him. But besides that, it was alright I guess. 🤷🏻‍♀️💓

Very strange writing style, like fast forward or double speed, too rushed. Too quick, too weird it just didn't read right. Didn't come across as authentic.

And what with writing the same scene immediately after each other different pov but identical virtually. Why ? it added nothing other than we ended up skimming over it -( the scene where the guys go to grechen in hospital n learn what happens).

It just read incredibly superficial. Honestly if I didn't know this was Christine Michelle no way would I have said this was the same writer as the other princess. The writing style n quality are worlds apart.

And this has been a constant problem with her latest books, the writing consistency n quality, its just been decidedly lacking.

I had absolutely no connection with gretchen or kane in this book and that's solely due to the poor writing. Seriously I don't know what's happened to it other than its not even recognisable as the same author.

Didn't feel anything between them either, one min kane is lusting over ever the next its like he feels guilt so attaches a misplaced responsibility to grechan. It was weird. There was nothing other than her girly crush. From kanes pov absolutely nothing. It was so bad I ended up skimming to end, could barely read it it was so implausible.

Kane opens the door for her and he notices she blushes musing he was pleased she was affected by him as much as he was her? Like when? Up to then there is nothing to suggest it or that he literally has a hard on for her other than he doesn't like either of the girls getting involved with bikers.

I need the quslity of writing in the other princess, churning out these books so fast has obvio6massiveky affected this.

Think this is the last hard earned cash I waste on the author.

Disappointing and decidedly poor

Its with a heavy heart that this series ends! But not for the characters! For US! The readers! It's done! Charleston is wrapped up! Everyone is happy! And what an ending!
You never really notice how some details are left to us to decide, we read about Ever and Deck, we fall for them both, We take a trip back and fall for Double D and Luce, we learn that Anna is not just a flighty teenager, but someone who was spared the true horrors that surrounded her, and has grown up in a big way..and found her own love. We see the redemption of J-Bird and the healing journey he begins, and we get justice for Toby.
Gretchen will always hold a place in her heart for Toby, the man who saw her when the one she wanted was oblivious, but when the world takes Toby and their unborn baby away in the worst way possible, Gretchen is left alone and floundering, while the rest of Toby's family come to terms that she was his, she was pregnant, and now neither Toby or the baby are with them anymore. Seeing this as an ultimate betrayal to her, and being blinded by grief and misplaced anger, she retreats within herself.
With time wounds don't heal, they scar and leave a reminder of one of the worst times in our lives.. so its with immense strength and determination - and the love of a certain Youngblood - Gretchen overcomes her anger and grief and finds love in the arms of Kane.
Kane was blind for so long that he never saw what was right in front of him until she found love in the arms of another man. When she loses both him and the baby they are carrying in one cruel accident, he see's her for who she truly is, but is it too late? And are they able to find happiness in such a cruel Twist of Fate.

Same as the rest. The main couple isn't even together until near the end. What's the point of telling scenes from previous books. It makes for a long, boring read. I really didn't care for Gretchen, this book didn't her justice. Kane I liked. There was just no chemistry between them Kane and Gretchen. Too much history about Toby, even though I liked him.

Perfect Ending

I couldn't have ended the series better. Gretchen was able to eventually come to terms with her lose with the help of her friends and Kane.

Kane was swoon worthy and so patient with her.

I've come to terms that Christine Michelle likes writing tear jerkers. I've she'd many during this series.

I'm glad the bad guy got his!

Great story. Could use an editor. Fyi I did find a major plot error but a decent read. You really can not read it as a stand alone.

3.5 stars. I wish this had been slowed down a little once Gretchen and Kane started doing their dance, it just all felt so rushed that I didn't see the connection between the two of them. No the wonder Kane felt that Toby was the love of Gretchen's life .... on their wedding day 😕

The Other Princess: Ever and Deck's story
A Love So Hard: Double-D and Lucy's story
The Princess and the Prospect: Anna and Evan's story
The Killing Ride: Jay and Christina's story

Every single one of the previous books is important to Gretchen and Kane's story (A Twist of Fate). Without the background and the emotional ties of individual members of this MC, the story wouldn't be complete. Christine Michelle's last book for the Charleston chapter of Aces High MC series allows the reader to go out with a bang. Believe me, you're going to ride the emotional roller coaster of sadness, grief, anger, frustration, joy, redemption, and everything in between. What a powerful ending to an already outstanding MC series.

I thoroughly enjoyed the "see you later" book because I refuse to believe we won't ever hear from them again. I just know somewhere deep down we'll hear about one of them in future Aces High MC books. Okay, that's my hope.

We met Gretchen and Kane in Ever's book (The Other Princess) and saw tidbits of what was going on with them. Unfortunately, we know all the sordid details of Gretchen's loss. Previously, we've seen the scenes play out from the perspective of the Brothers family or the club. However, it was never truly from Gretchen's point of view. That changes with this book. We now know her struggles to a greater extent. Also, we find out about what really has transpired with Kane while at Permanent Marks. We see a completely different side of Kane and the fact he probably has no room to judge the extracurricular activities of club brothers.

Is there cheating? No! Is there a HEA? Absolutely, but we're going to work for it and we're REWARDED in the end. Worth The Wait!! Most importantly, we see Gretchen grow into the person she needs to be for her future and Kane's future. We also see how loyal Kane is to her and others. Plus, Christine updated everyone about what happened to the other important MC members. Fantastic!!

It goes without saying, but I highly recommend this book! I recommend any book that Christine Michelle writes. I see she has a new book and I'm like, "take my money, I don't need it." You won't regret reading this book or any of the previous books! Grab the tissues!!

It was with a heavy heart that I turned the first page of the last book in this series. I was not disappointed. Gretchen and Toby went from flying high to having their wings ripped off. Gretchen had to find her new normal and Kane had to get is head our of is a...behind. Love, tears, heartbreak and finding life again...oh and HEA wrapped up in a nice pretty little black ribbon. Thank you Chrisine Michelle for yet another amazing book!!

OMG....................................
I was pulled into this book right from the beginning, staying there until I had read every single word that was written. I also got my mini movie playing along in my head.
Twists, turns and surprises occur through out this book. Some of the surprises you may see coming, while other you won't. Some of the surprises are large, while others are small. Some may pull on your heart strings, some may even hit you square in the face. But each and every surprise holds equal importance within making this book the awesome read that it is.
Each and every single emotion that the characters can be felt and then some. I went through the emotions with each of characters, but in all honesty I probably got more frustrated than the characters as there was a time or two I wanted to slap a few of the characters, but in the end they redeemed themselves.
I highly recommend Christine Michelle as an author and I highly recommend this book, if you are a fan of MC books and haven't read this book, I personally don't think you will regret it.
I have just found this book on Audible, I will be getting it.
I have just got this book on Audible and I have to admit I enjoyed it just as much as I did when I read it. This book is in my go to file.

BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL

It's hard to believe that the beautiful ride Christine Michelle shared with us in the Aces High Charleston series is over. From the very start with The Other Princess right up to the very with A Twist of Fate I've been completely engrossed with these characters feeling everything they felt good and bad. This story just gutted me and true for from our Author had me all put back together by the end. Gretchen had the biggest kind of crush on Kane and he never even knew she existed until she became someone else's. Too little too late I suppose. Gretchen and Toby has a beautiful journey unfortunately treachery in the worst way interferes and chaos ensues in every way imaginable. This book will take you back to the beginning and will give you the most beautiful ending you could hope for and gives you all the feels of everything in between.

Book 5 in the series

This was an interesting book and actually goes back in time with a different viewpoint of events occurring in the previous stories.
It features Gretchen and the events of her life with Toby and then Nate.
It's a story of true love cruelly torn away and then finding that love can come again. (Not a spoiler but in the blurb)
It then moves on and although it says vengeance is planned, it's not in a vicious, noticeable way but it's rather more subtle and meaningful.
Characterization is good, as always and i liked the characters, although I felt Toby's family left a lot to be desired and I was left with some unanswered questions about them.
Overall a really enjoyable book.

They call themselves family but in every family there are those who should not utter those words. This story reverberates around the main storyline but covers the betrayal of one member against the others, filled with hate and rage loyalties are betrayed. After a loss the rest must overcome the obstacles of life and learn to live on as well as overcome what has happened and who created the havoc. Again a great story based on the main theme with extremely well thought out characters who evolve as the story grows. Loving this series and if you take the plunge I recommend reading in order.

Aces High MC

First I gave to say I love this series with all the MCs that the Author does.
Twist of Fate was beautiful and heart breaking at the same time .I'm very happy that you gave a voice to Gretchen and Toby's story instead of a skim over it.
Kane getting his second chance at his true love. I was hooked from the first page.

It was good.

The best part of this book is the ending. Gretchen went through hell to get her heaven. Kane was a jerk at the beginning of the book and then he grew up instead of being a kid in a grown man body. Toby's family did a jerk thing after they found out about what happened to Toby.

Tragic

This is a sad nook at first then it turns to happy later on. I wish it didn't have so many mistakes and grammar errors. It would of been a lot better. I like Kane. Gretchen is ok. I never did quite u defeat d why her and Toby had to be secret about their relationship. That part was kind of stupid to me.
