Lovely little book, it has me excited for the next installment of the magic market mysteries .
Peter is a great character and with Daisy by his side things are going to be interesting.

Erin Johnson is back with a fun, new cozy series - Magic Market Mysteries. This is a short introductory prequel, under 100 pages. Readers are introduced to rookie officer, Peter Flint. Peter has yet to prove his worth on the streets. His partner is a seasoned officer; not exactly pleased to be saddled with someone fresh out of the academy. Needless to say, their partnership is strained. Young Flint is the butt of many jokes at the Bijou Mer police station. Peter is determined to gain the respect ...more

Nice prequel to help us better understand Officer Peter Flint and his dog, Daisy. The premise is believable: a young looking rookie cop gets sent undercover at a high school. He’s been stuck doing paperwork and this is his first real assignment.

The story contains plenty of high school angst. The plot is captivating as Peter stumbles through his assignment. A cheating case leads to a death and an interesting plot twist to bring Daisy into her relationship with Peter.

This is a quick, fun read.

The book was mediocre. It's the fact that it ends at 66% and everything after is stuffing. I won't be reading this author again. Book stuffing for clucks. Nope.

A cozy little mystery with a rookie cop who happens to be a male witch/warlock. he is sent back to school as an undercover student trying to find out how a group of failing students are suddenly passing..during his sleuthing he is confronted by a k9 dog that has magical powers. he is able to sniff out someone that is telling a lie....wouldnt that be nice if our dogs could do that, sure would save alot of heartache..
there is some spells and some underhandness going on, but the rookie cop is not g

I've been patiently waiting the moment I could get lost in Erins words again! I was thrilled to see this book in her latest newsletter, and look forward to the release of Magic Market Mysteries.

This story takes place mostly within the walls of high school setting, and a police station, Erin really nails the teenage angst with these characters. This was a fun underdog story and I can't wait to learn more about Peter Flint!

Peter Flint is been working as a police officer in Bijour Mer for six month but all that he is allowed to do is paperwork. When he is called to go undercover little he knows that he will solve the mystery and win a new and amazing partner.

An interesting cozy. Even though this is number 0.5 in the series, I recommend reading another book set in this fantasy world first. I thought it helped.
