A thorough and alarming report on the many ways individuals and our society neglect our children. Sobering. It was done in the 1990s and I'm not sure we've improved much. The author had her first push toward the topic when she was on the tenure track at a university and told she could not stay home with a difficult pregnancy threatening to miscarry if she wanted tenure.
