-Jenna, Here's my "wish I could give it more than 5 stars review"

Oh my goodness!!!! I don't even know how to put into words what this book made me feel. But that's what this story did.... made me feel. I felt every emotion the characters went through like I was actually in the story. I didn't know what to think of Enrique from what we knew of him in the last book. He didn't leave me with a lasting impression before. But he completely blows me away in this story! And our heroine, Madeleine is suc

Princess Madeline is still heartbroken five years after her fiancé's death. Now circumstances are such that an arranged marriage is necessary to save their kingdom.

Crown Prince Enrique has had many marriage contracts go awry. The one with Princess Juliana ended with her marrying his brother. Thanks to Parliament he now must wed to ascend the throne. His father needs to retire and is abdicating, but has managed to find another contract. All he can envision is his brother and Jules taking the thro

Best one of the series!!

So this series is best read in order as characters intersperse throughout the stories. At the very least - you should read Book #2 to meet Enrique. He is such an awkward, but trying so hard to be better kind of character. I liked him in Book #2, but absolutely loved him in Book #3.

All of these books are easy reads and sweet romances. Nothing untoward in these books and you have to read with the understanding that they are going to be quick to the HEA and of countries and

A Perfect Match!! I started to love Enrique in the previous story and I am soooo glad he finally got his HEA!! Madeleine was a perfect match for Enrique and he was a perfect match for her. Both were at a time of change in their lives and they managed to help each other in different and important ways. I loved the honesty and open communication they both gave each other and I could feel that with every word written. I HIGHLY recommend this story to all those that believe love happens when you lea ...more

A heart never forgets a story and mine felt like it had been here before. The Proper Princess is a compilation of schoolgirl fantasy and mature adult heartache. McClone flexes her strongest muscle with an emotional sonnet inspired by a childhood fairytale that blossoms into a captivating, yet painful reality. Madeline and Enrique are living on a cloud that could collapse at any moment. Can hope help to break their fall?

Sweet and emotional
What a wonderful ending to this series! I love how Enrique has evolved over the course of the story. I was not sure I wanted to read his story. He was not my favorite character in the last book. I guess that is logical because it wasn't his book. I was very pleased with how he changed.
Madeleine is a wonderful Princess. She knows her duty. She is ready to do what is expected of her. I like that she gives Enrique the understanding he needs. She is able to support him through his

To be honest,I didn't like this book very much.I had the same problem here as in the second book and that is a heroine who was raised to do her duty, but secretly she wants to rebel. The problem is,she can't rebel on her own and it's always someone else who does the rebelling in her name.

Mads knows that arranged marriage is awaiting her, after all she is a princess.Problem is,five years ago Mads fiance,Louie died and she is not able to get over him.Obviously, she needs to get married so her country

The Proper Princess by Melissa McClone is book Three in the Her Royal Duty Series. This is the story of Princess Madeleine and Crown Prince Enrique. I have read the previous books which they do touch on the introduction of these characters and of course added to my enjoyment of this book. But with that said, I do feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Madeleine's fiancé past away so now she knows that she will be settling in to a marriage of convince not love. Enrique kno

After meeting Enrique in the previous book where I thought he was a pompous twit, i later realized that he is more complicated and I was really hoping he would get his own HEA. He is/was horribly awkward in social situations and had a tendency to say the wrong thing and therefore offending others without meaning to. Princess Madeleine was fairly disappointing since I do understand duty/honour; however, I thought that for a ‘proper princess’ she was quite immature in her thinking. Respecting and ...more

The last book In the series is The Proper Princess and it can be read Standalone. This story is about Princess Madeleine and Prince Enrique. The story is about how Princess Madeleine was in love with the other Prince but he died in a helicopter crash. But she has to get married for her Country, to rescue her country from a debt which her country will not be able to pay. And this is the last option for Prince Enrique as well, as if he didn't get married in this year he'll not be the crown prince ...more

Who knew Enrique was so likable? Enrique was introduced in a previous story and was not very likable. He has made a great effort at changing himself. And he is an awesome prince. Madeleine was a princess doing her duty. Thinking she had already lost the love of her life, she was doing her duty as a princess to marry a prince to help her country. But Enrique and Madeleine seem to bond quickly. The story was sweet and the characters likable. I've liked all the stories in the series but each story ...more

My favorite part of this book was watching Enrique change his behavior from being an arrogant prince in the last book, who only cared about himself and believing he was unlovable because those were his mom' last words to him when she left. He was only eight years old.

In this book his character grew into a strong, caring man capable of loving Madeleine only she was still in love with her prince that had died before her wedding day. Madeleine is a beautiful character who gets to find love again.

After reading the first two books I knew this would be another sweet magical tale..Enrique and Madeleine are perfectly matched and this tale proves that there is an happily forever for each and every person.
Enrique was previously not such a good prince. He followed way old traditions and treated women like a weak link in life. But Madeleine brings out the best side of him and who knew,he definitely is lovable..

Great book! I loved reading it from beginning to end. It's a touching
& moving romance.
It is about a Princess, still in mourning.
And a Crown Prince, who thinks his heart
is broken. An arranged marriage has
been set up between Madeline & Enrique.
But will they let love into their hearts?
Madeline ❤ Enrique , are perfect together. Another fabulous book in
the series. I adored everything about this

Madeleine’s love for her former fiancé who died is remarkable. Can she Allow herself to fall in love again? Being a princess she agreed to the arranged marriage her father set up as it was best for their county.

Enrique agreed as well for his country. He is known to be an impossible prince. Can these two fall in love oe continue with the marriage contract?

You will have to read to find out.

Melissa McClone has done it again with her writing.

Honestly I did not really like Enrique from the last book. To me he seemed like he only cared about himself but in this book he totally redeemed himself and I fell in love with this character. I thought that Enrique and Madeleine were the perfect match. Their story was such an emotional journey for both of them. This book was the perfect ending to an incredible series.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Excellent addition to the Her Royal Duty series. We met the hero in The Not-So-Perfect Princess, and I had my doubts about Enrique, but Melissa McClone did a wonderful job of redeeming him. He is so lovable in his ineptness in the beginning and then so kind, caring and romantic. I laughed and cried throughout the book. Definitely some very poignant moments. This story has all the feels.

Crown Prince Enrique was not a sympathetic character in book two of this series but my views of him totally changed in this book. He has learned a lot over the past two years from his brother and his brother's wife which has allowed him to be more open and show his humanity. Madeleine had lost her fiance five years prior and never thought she would ever find love again. She was willing to sacrifice herself for her country by agreeing to an arranged marriage. The two got off to a rough start but ...more

While I enjoyed the story and was happy that Enrique finally got a HEA, I was a bit confused about Louie. He was described as a Crown Prince, which meant he was a future king. But of what country? It seemed like he lived in Madeleine’s country, but her brother Karl was the Crown Prince, and there couldn’t be 2 kings in the same country.
Other than that, it was a good book and I think people would like it.

A quick Satisfying Read

This story is an interesting read. If you are a fan of arranged marriage stories or royal romances , this is a satisfying read.As it is part of a series many of the characters from earlier books reappear and play a part in this book as well and add to th growth and development Od the main character Enrique.

Madeleine and Enrique had an interesting marriage arrangement in The Proper Princess, book three in Melissa McClone’s Her Royal Duty series. After the death of her fiancé and first love, Princess Madeleine was resigned to the fact that she would end up having an arranged marriage; possibly being used as a pawn to save her country. When she meets her handsome intended she wonders what she had agreed to. Crown Prince Enrique did not give off a good first impression in meeting Madeleine. He was way ...more

I’ll be honest; I went into this book with a predisposed dislike of Crown Prince Enrique. He was not very likeable in book 2 of the series and I really struggled as to whether I wanted to read his story.
I’m so glad I did! Melissa McClone made this formally arrogant and disdainful man into a better than real fairy tale prince. One with real emotions, a man who made mistakes but owned up to them...and did better the next time.
Enrique’s connection to Princess Madeline was instantaneous on his part

“Officially I’m a fan of Melissa McClone, what an amazing author she is! I’m still recovering from book 3 (The Proper Princess) of Her Royal Duty series. The series left me speechless! They are outstanding and magnificent. Sweetness, emotion and romance.

The Proper Princess was the perfect end to the series. My heart is still recovering from this story. The characters emotions felt so pure, real and touching. What a fascinating and mind-blowing character’ Enrique was, I never expected to fall in

So I was so happy to see Enrique get a second chance. I just wasn't expecting it to have a sweet feel about it. The Enrique from book 2 is not the same man. He has a heart and compassion. He has learned how to live and not work so hard. His brother and Jules had a hand in this. Madeline is a sweet girl. She wants to do right by her parents and country. She is also hurting and grieving a loss. She agreed with the arraigned marriage just never thinking she'd open her heart to love again. Prince Lo ...more

I was a bit hesitant to read this book. I wasn’t really crazy about Enrique in The Not So Perfect Princess, but I decided to give him another chance – and I am so glad that I did! We see him, flaws and all, but trying so hard to be less self-centered and to think before he speaks. His consideration for Madeleine and trying to put her first, actually opens his heart in ways he wasn’t expecting. Princess Madeleine comes to the party with her own flaws and hang ups – like still being in love with h ...more

I didn’t like Enrique in the last book. He was stuffy, said the wrong things, and planned an awful wedding for Jules without her input. But he shows in this book that a person can change. He still puts his foot in his mouth, but he is much more compassionate and he notices what Madeleine likes and makes her happy like daisies and chocolate. I loved that he enjoyed gardening. He was so sweet with the heart transplant child Reggie from the hospital who gave him a bottle of antiseptic after Enrique ...more

This is the third book in the series. We got to know Enrique in the previous book with his brother. I'm glad he gets his story and a HEA. Though it's not an easy road to the end, but it's one that is so worth it. Madeleine breaks your heart with her backstory so I was rooting for her to get a HEA she deserves. Enrique is going to surprise her in a good way. The things that she heard about him are not very flattering and their first meeting didn't make a great first impression. The more she gets ...more
