Sometimes being a Good Samaritan can change your life in ways one can never imagine, just ask Octavia Coal. The man she found near death and bleeding on the beach was no man at all, he was an angel and now she is about to begin a journey that will have her rubbing elbows with angels and demons alike and her heart is sure to get involved.

Rebecca Crunden is back with another paranormal fantasy/romance that will have you running the gamut of emotions as the lines between good and evil get a little

A Game of Wings and Marks was SUCH FUN. I couldn’t put it down, I just kept reading and reading until my eyes drooped and my kindle flashed with low battery, and even then it took a lot of effort to put this book down!

The story picks up with our dearest Tamiel waking up injured and alone, only to hear the sounds of something running towards him. Soon, our protagonist O

I really loved this book. I really did. It pulled me in almost immediately, and for a long, while I thought for sure it was a 5-star book. But when I finished it, there were things that just didn't sit well with me a

I ended up reading this book because of the title sounding like A Court of Thorns and Roses and since I love that series, I couldn't ignore this book. But it was nothing like ACOTAR

Octavia's life changes when she sees a man hurt in the mountains when she's out try to clear her head, and decides to help him. He introduces her to his life as an angel, and to demons. I thought he was going to be her love interest. But nope, he wasn't and I was glad. And then her life changes drastically.

Thank you Rebecca for sending me an ARC of this book! Although I was slow in reading it, it was only because I didn’t have much time to read, but once I got into it, this book was very exciting and fast paced. I really enjoyed the fantasy side of it parallel to the real world, but some aspects of it were a little bit confusing.
The fact that they were angels and demons was really cool because I haven’t read any other books with them before, so that was fun.
A really captivating and exciting read

When on a stroll with her dog Cleo, Octavia is startled by a gravely injured man who needs her help. She calls on her trusty brother Caleb and soon they discover that the wounded man is an angel who had his wings removed for the crime of having a forbidden relationship. Octavia makes it her duty to help the tragic couple, feeling a protectiveness over them, but unfortunately no good deed goes unpunished, and she finds herself marked and making deals with demons.

This was such a wonderful read! I loved every part of it honestly, the mythology was such a great background, the major characters were wonderful. Especially Octavia, I loved her humor and her bravery and how she just kept fighting for those she loved. Zev was also a favorite. Even the minor characters just made the story that much better. It was humorous, saddening and suspenseful all that once. I might have started out team Zev/Octavia, but by the time I was done I was all team Raphael/Octavia ...more

Wow simply amazing

What a stellar urban fantasy this was. Wonderful, deep characters, fascinating male protagonists, and even better, a strong no nonsense heroine that is just way too easy root for and love. The romance made me swoon and the pacing and flow for the entire story went well. Loved seeing the story come together well at the end. I would also love to see more of these characters from the author. It was truly an addictive enchanted read!

I should have known I’d finish this book in a hot second. Once again, Rebecca Crunden creates an amazing and fast paced world with this novel. I adored Octavia and her true to self nature that makes her relatable.
Honestly, if you are looking for a quick read and something different this book NEEDS to be on your to read list.

This book is so fast paced and intriguing you'll find it hard to put it down once you've started. Though the pacing seems rushed at points, leaving me feeling like more time could have been spent on each conflict, the story is interesting and captivating. ...more

When Octavia stumbles on the dying angel Tamiel, she has no idea just how quickly her life is about to change. Having fallen in love with a human, Tamiel has become hunted by his kind. Without hesitation, Octavia helps him and in turn, is swept up in the world of angels and demons. She suddenly finds herself bound to both the archangel Raphael and t

I don't know what I would really classify this as, as strange as that might sound. While it is a romance with paranormal or supernatural themes, I'm not completely convinced that it fully fits that genre. In many ways, it has more of a fantasy feel than anything. While there is a love story in here and the heroine gets her man, in many ways, that doesn't feel like the main drive of the story.
I think my reason for saying that, is perhaps that there are two males (one being a demon and the other a

Wow! This book is awesome. Octavia Coal is the straight-talking protagonist in this contemporary romance adventure that rides on a higher plane. First of all - Octavia Coal? What a great name. Octavia works in a bar and has a terrible boyfriend. One day, she finds an injured man on the roadside and asks him if he needs help. Well, it turns out this bloke is a disgraced angel and he introduces Octavia to a world of Angels and demons. I really enjoyed the contemporary setting, Dogma is one of my f ...more

I received this book through Voracious readers only.

I have read books with angels and demons before and went into this story with certain expectations.
I was pleasantly surprised when the story took a different path than I expected. I really liked the take it took on angels and demons and I liked Octavia and the characters that surround her.

This story hits the ground running, pulling you in with the first paragraph and I really wanted to know where it would lead me. I found the story fun and ent

Paranormal Romance isn't a genre I typically pick up, but the author contacted me offering me a free copy in exchange for an honest review and when I read the synopsis I was immediately intrigued.

The protagonist Octavia, who is brave, strong-willed and a character I really enjoyed reading about, finds an injured man in the mountains and decides to help. Little does she know, this act of kindness will introduce her to the world of the Irin (angels) and demons.

I loved the characters in this one.

I received this book free from Voracious Readers Only, in exchange for an honest review.

And honestly, this book was brilliant. From the very first chapter to the very last, it had twists and turns. Octavia Coal, our human protagonist, happens to meet a fallen Angel and her life is never the same again. From dealing with Angel Raphael (she becomes his healer and thus connected to him for life) and The Demon of Games, Zev, Octavia has to figure out who the real demons are and what game is being pl

A thrilling novel filled with angels, demons and complicated relationships.

I loves the idea of this book and it did not fail in delivering a story full of mystical beings and a wonderful story. The ups, the downs and the beautiful ending had me enthralled from the very start. A wonderfully crafted plot from start to finish.

The charters too were incredible, especially given the depth provided to those from religion, and the relationships in this book had me hooked and on the edge of my seat. In

The remarkable thing about this book was the writing. It really helped me get on with the plot and characters.
When I first started reading this book I was astonished how quickly I got into it. It set a solid background for the characters which helped me visualize the plot and setting well! The concept of demons and angels was unique since I haven't read anything on that topic in a fantasy book yet. It was good that the stereotypes were not there and I couldn't predict what was going to happen n

What a story! More demons and angels interacting with humans but in a different way than I had read about before now. Again, these are all handsome dudes and gorgeous woman on the angel side. The one Demon, Zev is handsome and catches Octavia’s eye. Our humans are brother and sister. Octavia is a bartender and her older brother; Caleb is an auto mechanic. Just two very ordinary people scraping by trying to make ends meet. They used to share an apartment, but Caleb now lives with hi

The premises are interesting. The characters relationships could be fun and dynamic. But, and I'm sorry, I'm going to be a tiny bit mean.

But. There-are-no-stakes. The main character is not looking for anything, nor are the others. This leads to a slogging, undriven story and to, inevitably, an uninterested reader (= me).
This main drawback is directly linked to shallow characters : we don't know anything about them, and the tiny bits we know are not reeled in any way in their b

An angels-and-demons story. Octavia’s kindness toward an angel who’s been brutally punished for breaking angel rules puts her in the path of Ziv, the demon king of games (kind of like Jareth from Labyrinth) and Raphael, an angel commander.

Octavia is drawn to both Ziv and Raphael (though for my money Ziv is hands down more appealing) and must work out her feelings. Complicating matters are dire restrictions placed on angel-human relationships. (I’m telling you, these angels are bad news.) Other

I absolutely loved this book!

This is an angels and demons (and humans) story, and that makes for a lot of intriguing characters and relationships. I think the characters and the relationships between them was my favorite thing about this book, but there are definitely other great things about it as well. It's a fast-paced story that never gets boring, there are plenty of twists and turns, and the writing is absolutely wonderful. It only took me a couple of days to finish this book, and that's ma

There should be more like you. Everyone nowadays outdoes themselves to prove their excessive belief in only what their scientists have managed to stumble across. But there is so much more out there.
