This is an empowering YA coming-of-age story about four different close female friends who are each dealing with their own independent life situations while still supporting one another to the best of their abilities. If youve watched The Bold Type a feminist TV series created by this author you know exactly what Im talking about and you will love this to bits.

Ava is digging into her family history. CJ is trying to improve her grades to be accepted to her first choice university. Jordan is

This was an okay book. I hate reviewing okay books because I don't have a lot of feelings about them one way or the other, and often end up doing some skimming, even though they aren't bad. They're just... okay. And a little born.

MOST LIKELY has a great premise. You see a girl, all grown up and successful as a woman, and then the rest of the book is about her senior year of high school and the changes that put her on the inspiring path

Great empowering realistic female friendship book with so many absolutely adorable romances. Loved it.

I do have two major complaints though that are strikingly anti-feminist about this book. Firstly - the cover. Nothing is more anti-feminist than copy-pasting a perfect female face and just changing the skin tones and hairstyles. They all look the same; it's pathetic. And it's wrong! One of the four girls, CJ, is described as having "blonde hair and green eyes." What the heck???

And then

This started off really slow but it ended up being really enjoyable.

**PSA: If you're upset about Elizabeth Warren (like me), this is the book for you!!!**

This book was just so heartfelt, so hopeful, and everything the world needs right now.

Since reading this book, I got to meet/connect with Sarah, and she's become a mentor and I love her so much!

Sarah created the show The Bold Type (which, if you haven't seen, what are you doing? It's AMAZING!), and when I saw the announcement over a year ago that she had a YA novel coming out that follows the future female

SUCH a cute book! It opens up on inauguration day in 2049 as Mr. and Mrs. Diffenderfer take the stage, and the Mrs. is about to take her oath. Before any more is divulged about her, the story rockets back to the fall of 2019 when a group of best friends, Ava, CJ, Jordan, and Martha, along with all the seniors are disappointed to find that their school's yearly tradition has been thwarted. Instead of carving their names into the jungle gym like so many before them, the park is close for ...more

MOST LIKELY is a fantastic YA contemporary about friendship. The book starts with a woman becoming president and reflecting back on her critical friendships before going back into her senior year of high school (in the present). We don't know which one it will be, but Ava, CJ, Jordan, and Martha have been friends since before they started kindergarten, and it's a friendship that will last a lifetime.

Ava was adopted as an infant and is being raised by a single mother, who is also a high powered

This book had me sucked in from the very first page and definitely took me out of the reading slump I was beginning to find myself falling into. The entire mystery surrounding which main character becomes President in 2049 had me on the edge of my seat. The best part? I thought I had it figured out until the last couple chapters when a twist was revealed and I found out that I had been wrong the entire time (which I love because it makes a book unpredictable).

I won an early copy of Most Likely from Novl, so that I could share my review with you!

Ava, CJ, Jordan, and Martha have been best friends since their playground days, but one of them is destined to become the future president of the United States. Though each girl possesses unique strengths, one thing they all share is a deep friendship. When the local authorities announce that they will be tearing down the park where the girls first became friends, they become determined to save the park as

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through a Goodreads giveaway.

This book is about four best friends: Ava, Jordan, CJ, and Martha. All we know from the start is that one of them will eventually become the first female president and will have the last name Diffenderfer, but we don't know which character that will be until the end.

Although it's an extremely minor part of the story - literally just a few pages at the beginning and end of the book - the addition of one of the girls

this was such a fun read, all while having some very important messages!!! i adored all the characters and even though it was a contemporary ya, the mystery aspect had me tearing through the last quarter of the book. most likely touched on a lot of important topics ranging from disability/accessibility to racism and stereotypes to sexual identity to the bullshit that is standardized testing and not once did it come off as

Theres a direct correlation between how late I finish a book and how much I loved it. Its nearly 2 a.m. and the only reason it isnt later is because I sped read for the last fourish hours. This book is so great - its inspiring, its empowering, its a love story of friendships (with some romance too) and its one of those books that reminds you how it felt to be a teenager who just wanted to make a difference. I cant wait to read it again. ...more

Full review to come, but for now: it was a good book, but not great. Certain elements rang false (also side note: did the SATs go back to being out of 1600? because my scores were out of 2400 and it kept confusing me when characters talked about their scores being out of 1600) and I don't think I'll ever reread it, but it was a solid story. The friendship piece was AMAZING. There were way to many PoV shifts for me.

@kidlitexchange #partner Thanks to the #kidlitexchange network and publisher @littlebrownyoungreaders for the review copy of this book - all opinions are my own! Most Likely follows four best friends through their senior year in high school. However, thats not the center of the novel. This is a book solidly about fantastic friendships. ...more

Four friends, all with interesting backstories, making their way through their senior years of high school. There are boys, college applications, schoolwork, parents and expectations to deal with, and the friendship ebbs and flows with all that. Much of this is told in flashback, with the book opening and closing with the swearing in as President one of the friends. Which one and how she ended up with her husband may even surprise readers. In the next book, I wonder if we'll stick with these ...more

MOST LIKELY was an empowering, enjoyable story following four best friends in their senior year of high school. She wanted to do something with her life that would matter. Something bigger and more important than just painting protest signs and recycling her milk carton."

It feels lazy to compare a group of four female friends to SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS, but Sarah Watson's MOST LIKELY is worthy of that comparison. The story begins with the

I loved this book so much. I didnt expect to really even like it because it is so hard for me to find young adult contemporaries that fit with my tastes these days, but this book is all around good, and I cant recommend it enough.

This book is my most anticipated YA contemporary release of the year because I have been super intrigued with the premise since the first time I read about. I havent ever watched Bold Type, but have only heard good things about it and had a feeling that this book would be just as good too.
