My first book by this author but not the first in the RB #2 series.
I do have to say, I felt like I was missing some background. Like I should not have started with this book because on some level we are midstory. That being said I was able to follow along, but I definitely was lacking. Mammoth is on club business, which is an interesting side business actually, and on his way home he reconnects with flight attendant Riva.
Riva has been having strange things happen and she doesn't feel safe in her own home. But when trouble comes knocking she calls the only person she can think of, Mammoth. Riva has a kind heart and just wants to feel safe. Mammoth on the other hand had a huge appetite (of the sexual nature) but finds himself quite taken with this woman who doesn't seem like she belongs in his world.
There was a bit of suspense surrounding the things going on with Riva, there was some blood, MC business, and definite insta-lust. There was a warning, I love warnings, but this didn't hit the dark notes for me. It had that gritty MC feel and there was some heaviness in what had happened to our characters, some things that were not nice and a whole bunch of bad-mouthed bikers. I'm not saying it was sunshine and rainbows or anything, but it wasn't as dark as I thought I would be. It does make me curious to go back to fill in the blanks as well as see how they settle in their new place.

The second book by Elizabeth Knox in the Royal Bastards MC. I liked this one much more than the first one. I don't know for sure but don't think Ms. Knox plans another book in this series because after this book they are leaving the Royal Bastards and going to reopen under the name Nights of Retribution. Hopefully there will be lots more.

When the first book left off Gamble had just found out she was pregnant. In this book she has had the baby and some how she has been shot. There isn't much in this book about that so hopefully will learn more later. This is Riva and Mammoth's book. We met Riva for just a few minutes last book. She was a flight attendant who was pregnant. She was carrying the baby for a friend who was gay and married to a man from Cuba. Hate to put this spoiler but will say she lost the baby. The two men blame her for it. Too bad she didn't know enough about her friends husband because now she is about to be running for her life. Right before running she happens to meet Mammoth again and he happens to be on the phone with her. Things go from bad to worse.......

When her good deed goes wrong she will need some Mammoth protection

It kept my attention and I really liked both Mammoth and Riva. This story showed more about the MC and what being in it meant, the family and friendships and how they are there for each other. This is what Riva ends up needing and Mammoth is the man to provide it for her.

While on a mission for the club auditioning new girls for their adult film industry Mammoth meets Riva again. Riva is a flight attendant and remembers meeting Mammoth before. This time he isnt letting her get away.
A series of unfortunate events has Riva contacting Mammoth for his help. It’s kind of an insta attraction but yet it’s not, I just really enjoyed the story. Enough drama and mystery to balance everything. And Mammoth is just yummy!

Riva and Mammoth met in Bet on Me and this is their story, as well as a bunch of other stories, like Gamble and Hart's continuation.
This is about instalove, hard, fast, and true. Mammoth is immediately attracted to Riva after meeting her previously. And he pursues her with gusto. Their journey starts off dangerously and continues to throw roadblocks in their way right to the end.

I really like Mammoth. He really feels pretty easy going and friendly, but then he isn't all of a sudden, when he needs to. I think he's a pretty good guy, and he's really determined to protect everyone that he can.
I like Riva. I don't think that she's necessarily the strongest character out there, but I don't think that she's weak either. I think she and Mammoth are pretty good for each other.

Mammoth is out on a mission to find new women for the clubs adult business. Riva is a flight attendant that he met some time ago. He ends up getting a call from her after she has trouble come knocking on her door. Will the enemies from the club keep them apart? Can the club and the couple survive the attacks? An interesting read.

Elizabeth Knox is a POWERHOUSE when it comes to writing and I’m always looking forward to what she has in store for us readers next. When she announced she was giving Mammoth a book next I was beyond excited and she definitely didn’t fail me. I absolutely love the twists and turns and a few surprises I definitely wasn’t expecting at all. I can’t wait to see where she takes us next!! 🖤🔥☠️🔥🖤

Finally Mammoth’s book!!!👏👏👏
He is the man who has always been by Gamble’s side, the only woman Prez in the RB.
The book begins by showing the most beastly side of Mammoth, at least sexually speaking.🔥🔥🔥 that man has stamina!!! Later we see his side most vulnerable, sensitive and protective.
They attack Gamble’s daughter, who is Mammoth’s goddaughter, which leads Gamble to make a drastic decision, to leave the RB, and with her all this men follows her in this new adventure. Mammoth meets again with Riva, the stewardess whom he flirted before in a trip that he made with Gamble and Hart. Only this time he decides to ask her for his phone number hoping that she agrees to go out with him, not knowing that in the end he will have to protect her from the Cuban mafia.
His love story with Riva is very fast forward, in a matter of days she becomes his ol’lady. I expected more🔥🔥scenes between them.
I hope this is not the last time I read about this couple.

The previous year, Riva had agreed to help her childhood friend Taylor and his husband Marco by being a surrogate so they could have a baby...but almost to birth, had last sonogram which showed something terribly wrong, no heartbeat...and a stillborn shortly after...the couple was devastated as was she...but strange things going on with water running while at work, pictures moved, loud noises while she was home, so as stewardess she decided to have base moved from Baltimore to Philly. Mammoth(AKA Fredrik Johansson) was a member of Royal Bastards M/C, loyal to their President Gamble, best friend of deceased former President Dog, and a womanizer...he loved the ladies and loved getting a little something/something from the gals who he was auditioning for the M/C porn movie business...was in Puerto Rico on recruiting trip for new talent, was returning to Baltimore when he ran into Riva...he met her before on previous trip when she was 6 months pregnant, but this time got her number so they could catch up...on return to airport, learned that Gamble's daughter Ace was shot, in critical condition at a hospital...so went there...where rest were gathered. Several members were looking into who shot a child, and Gamble decided to take bull by horns, with moving club to Delaware rather than Baltimore after inherits property and trust fund from her grandfather...but there is more to Riva's problem, since Marco's father was head of Cuban Mafia The Marielitos so they blamed her for the stillbirth, with her calling Mammoth when two men were breaking into her apartment after she was packed for her move...he got there, shot them, bringing Riva with him to clubhouse, claiming her as his Ol' Lady...but you will need to read this twisting, turning story to see what happens, as well as to see what favors for aid that Mammoth will need to make to keep Riva safe...I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

First things first, read the author's warning, this isn't a light and fluffy read, there are violent and explicit scenes. There are several things that might set off more sensitive readers, if that isn't your thing this isn't the book for you, you've been warned.
The story starts with the sadness of Riva, who volunteered to be a surrogate for a close friend but lost her baby in the thirty-eighth week. Then we switch to explicit erotic sex as Mammoth is testing out talent for his club's porn business. These two have known each other for over a year but Mammoth is ready to make his move on her when he sees her on his flight home.
Riva has been tormented and harrassed ever since she lost the baby. When she tries to run away from the problems her tormentors decide to kill her and she reaches out to Mammoth for help.
This story moves fast and while this is Mammoth and Riva's story there are several other arcs that left me feeling a bit disconnected. It felt like it was going in multiple directions that didn't feel cohesive. There were heavy hard core porn at the beginning and then almost nothing until toward the end of the book. Gamble's daughter has been shot and the culprit needs to be hunted down but that isn't fleshed out well and doesn't have much to do with our couple. There's also changes in the future for their club. Meanwhile Mammoth and Riva are driving all over four different states and interacting with different clubs for help with the cartel trying to kill her, rather than his own club.
I loved that several of the clubs were led by woman and maybe if I'd read the other books related to this it would have made more sense but as a stand alone it left me feeling like I was missing information that might made everything make more clear.

Who would you turn to for help?
Riva is an air hostess with a loving open heart. She generously agreed to be her friend Tyler's surrogate using her eggs so he and his husband can start a family.
Unfortunately late on in the pregnancy they discover the baby has no heartbeat. Riva is blamed for the loss and left to give birth to the stillborn babe alone.
She is then tormented for over a year. She decides to move and changes to a different flight plan so that she can get some peace and move on with her life. When 2 men are sent to kill her who can she call for help?
Mammoth has been on a job for his MC and meets Riva again on her last flight and asks her out. They swap numbers and then disaster has stricken for the club.
He is shocked when he gets a call from Riva who is in danger and he doesn't hesitate to race to her rescue. Mammoth and his fellow brother find the men about to rape her and immediately to kill.
This is when they discover the men are part of the Cuban Cartel. Why would they want to hurt someone sweet and innocent as Riva?
Mammoth doesn't want anything to happen to her and claims her so that she will be under club protection. Now he has to convince her to rely on him to protect her and try and stop the hit on her.
This definitely seems to be an insta-love story it all happens very quickly. There are lot of twists and turns for them and other characters from what seems to be linked storylines.
I felt that some parts of the linked characters a storylines that I had missed a lot by jumping in here which is disappointing but certainly not so that I couldn't follow the story.
I have decided I want to go back and read the ones I have missed prior to this so that I can see if reading in order will help. Will review that too when I get to read them.

Elizabeth Knox is back with the 2nd installment of the RBMC and I can honestly say I wasn't ready for this ride but I'm glad I took it! This
Mammoth was HOT and he definitely knew what he was doing when it came to pleasing the ladies! I loved his over the top confident, cocky personality and I found myself laughing out loud a few times at the things we would say and do. Riva was the pregnant flight attendant we met in the first book and I was always secretly hoping we would see again. In this story we find out that she lost the baby she was carrying for another couple and they have not been taking it well. Unfortunately for her, one of them is related to a leader of the Cuban cartel and things are about to get worse for her. When two men break into her house the only person she can think to call is Mammoth, who shows up in the nick of time to save the day and make me swoon! The book just takes off from their in a series of twists and turns that left me glued to the edge of my seat and burning through pages to see what happens next. These two together might be one of my favorite MC couples I have read, their chemistry was off the charts and anytime they shared a page it was easy to get lost in them.
Please keep in mind this book is not a standalone, you need to read Bet on Me prior to this story to fully understand what is going on. You also need to read the trigger warnings, this book is dark and twisty at times and it will push some readers out of their comfort zone.

I was really excited to see where Liz was going to take this series, and man am I excited about what she did!!! I LOVED getting to see everyone again, even if our first bits of Gamble and Hart were really sad ones. I was also super excited to see Mammoth be the next book. Poor guy definitely needed a woman!
I love how absolutely filthy and blunt Mammoth was about his man wh*re ways was then BOOM Reva is in the picture! I don't know if we've gotten an insta-love before from Liz but I loved this one! I love how they met by chance again and I really loved the drama that brought them together. We had a lot of nitty grity moments in this book and they were so good!!! These two had some amazing chemistry and I loved it so much! It was like she immediately fit in and was ready to roll.

This is the second book in this series and is really a prequel for this series. This book is also part of the Royal Bastards collection. Mammoth has been there for Gamble since before Dog died. Now time has past and she has moved forward both personally and with the club. They face new threats and they aren’t afraid to go after anyone even children. Mammoth’s focus is split. He is helping his club plus the woman who will be his. A chance second meeting has brought them together again. Only this time Mammoth isn’t going to let the chance slip by him. She needs help and he going to give it to her and more. Will he be able to help both ladies in his life? The answer to helping his lady maybe easier than he knew. But there is still the matter of who is after the club and why. This book was interesting to read. I feel for Gamble so much after all she has been through. Now she must choose what to do. People have found out who the father of her child is and that brings danger of its own. She can give up her presidency all together or she can leave the royal bastards mc and go back to the one her father had. The characters in this chapter are amazing. I love them all. I hope to read more about this chapter in the future. Fantastic job Elizabeth.

Oh my oh my, the brotherhood that make up the RB Baltimore MC have sure been through it. From their Prez Gamble’s personal struggles down to the club's continued issues. In Rely on Me the author has given us a well written storyline that continues to thrive on the strength of the club and its members - that is certainly true for Mammoth.
Mammoth is a womanizer and proud to admit it. He’s a hard man who takes what he wants and damn the consequences. As the clubs enforcer, he is the one everyone counts on and it’s a job he takes very seriously. But when the Prez’s little girl is hit by a bullet he blames himself for not being there to protect her. Even though he was out of town on club business, Mammoth can’t help but blame himself. How will anyone ever be able to rely on him ever again?
When he runs across a woman he met a few months back, who is in desperate need of help, can Mammoth redeem himself and protect her and his club in the process? This is a thrilling action pack book that I highly recommend grabbing up. The author has included a warning so please make sure you read. Authors sometimes write things that may make a reader feel uncomfortable. By including a warning it’s their way of making sure that when you read their book it will be a pleasant experience. And it will leave you wanting more.
Mammoth is a man whose a little rough around the edges. He also doesn’t make any excuses as to the type of man he is. He’s a man who will tell you quite graphically how things are. Riva is making a change in her life. You’ll want to know where that change is going to take her.
There was one scene where the two of them were talking and I wanted to pipe up and say “even I know that!” That just goes to show how the author gets her readers indirectly involved with the story. After that though, the scenes went by so quickly that I wasn’t prepared for the ending. But that’s the thing, it really wasn’t an ending. So hopefully that means I’m going to see them again. Like old friends, you want a chance to catch up.

We're on our second "ride" with the RBMC Baltimore chapter! OMG! Yes, what a ride it's been and it just sets up for more awesome story lines in the future! Hell Yes!! Well, not in the way you might think. Read the book!

However, one thing I have noticed is that some folks go into reading books without HEEDING THE WARNINGS OF THE AUTHOR. It continues to happen, but don't read this book if you're easily triggered. This story is fast paced, moving from one storyline to another. Porn stars, club whores, gratuitous sexual encounters, a murder (but really its the result of saving someone), insta lust.
Mammoth is the Baltimore clubs enforcer. Pretty likeable. Riva is the girl he met on a plane. She calls him for help. He responds. Then there is action, drama, both their families meeting, and a HEA.
(side note: Gamble has had her child. Once again everyone insists the sperm donor was that creep Rancid because he repeatedly raped her. However, she had consensual sex with Dog before he was killed and at the same time was raped by Heavy. Unless both Dog and Heavy were sterile, any of those 3 men could be the bio dad)

The men of her bike clubs may not be upstanding community members, but their hearts are in the right place, and their oaths to the club are solid and true. All members of the club are family, respect has to be earned, and promises are sacred oaths never to be broken. Mammoth was a large man in body and deed. When he promised to protect Riva, he kept his promise, proving to her he was a man of his word. Mammoth knew that Riva was special from their first meeting, and when she asked for his help, he gave everything he had to protect her, including his heart. I found this book a heartwarming story of instant love, honor, and protection. Riva had a painful past that made her cautious of commitment, but Mammoth gave her his heart and protection, never asking for anything in return.

Mammoths on a job down In cuba to I some girls for their new business, but o the flight back he sees a familiar face in the one of the flight attendants Riva. After losing the baby she was carrying for her friend and his partner things had been happening around Rivas home things had been moved and banging at all hours l, the police do nothing and shes had enough and is moving but the night before two men come for her and the only person she can call is Mammoth. After discovering Rivas connection to the Cuban cartel Mammoth knows he must protect her but needs the clubs help, but the club is also going through hell, with their youngest member being targeted and an old secret coming to light that brings hope for the future of the club. Well written, insta romance, with action, hot scenes galore!

I just got done reading Rely On Me and I loved it! So many things going round in my brain as I think how I feel about and what I want to say. First, I think Mammoth and Riva are a wonderful match. Mammoth is dirty manwhore as he called himself and I loved that Riva was able to match him and have him surprised by what Riva had him feeling and I don’t mean only emotions. The scenes with Mammoth is intense and Oh so 🔥🔥💥💥. Elizabeth Knox knocked this one out of the park! Rely On Me is part of the Royal Bastards MC series. So much happened and so many things were revealed but as always there were more questions that came up. Being that Elizabeth referenced people from her other books like Boss from Iron Vex MC and quick one of Lucian from Steele Brothers series. I can’t wait for the next book to see what is going on with everyone. I sincerely recommend this book and know that you will not be disappointed or let down by reading it.

Ms. Knox warns readers at the beginning of the story that this is going to be a rough and brutal reading, and compared to some of her books, this book is just that.
This book talks about and shows just about every trigger imaginable, so if you have a difficult time with triggers, this book is definitely NOT for you, otherwise grab a seat, a carton of tissues, and the book because it will take you at least a night to get through this book with all the water works you will experiencing.
Rely on Me is the second book in Ms. Knox's branch of the Royal Bastards series, following Bet on Me, and in my opinion is ten times better, even though I loved the first one!
I have read almost all of Ms. Knox's books, and I loved each one more as it came out. I can't wait to see what the next part of the Royal Bastards, or her other series, have in store for us!!

Riva was friends with her best friend from childhood(Taylor) and his mate(Marco) and they asked her to be a surrogacy for them things was going good until something gone wrong. Now Riva had problems in her life that she did not know what to do about and where to go so she was going to move. Riva meets Mammoth on the air plane and he ask for her number so she gives it to him. Mammoth is in a MC club he was their enforced. Mammoth told Riva that he would text her later that night but something happens when he get off the plane that he forgets at first but later he does. Riva makes it home to get her packing done and then she makes it to bed until something happens that she needs help with. Now would be the time to get the book. I will be getting more from this author.

I enjoy reading a good MC book and this one doesn’t disappoint. This book is full of action and surprises and is definitely a page turner. I couldn’t put the book down. Mammoth has to fly down to Puerto Rico for club business. On his flight back home he runs into a flight attendant, named Riva, that he remembers meeting about a year ago while travelling with the MC Prez. When the flight lands and Riva gets home someone tries to break into her apartment with her in it . She is so terrified that the only person she can think to call is Mammoth. Can Mammoth get to Riva in time to save her? Will Riva learn what club life and what a MC family is all about? Will Riva learn to trust and rely on Mammoth? These questions will be answered if you read this book.
