Fury Unleashed is book one in the brand new series, Forgotten Brotherhood, by N.J. Walters. I have to admit that first, I was drawn to this book by the gorgeous cover. But then, ladies and gentlemen, I read the book. WOW, WOW, WOW!!! This book pretty much rocked my world, and then some. And now that Ive finished it, yes, the cover is perfect for the hero of this story! Now, let me tell you a little bit about it!

I couldn't quite believe I got an ARC for this! My luck with Netgalley is hit and miss even on the same author at times. I shot my shot and boy, was I happy I actually got this one. Even if the cover kept reminding me of Devil Jin in Tekken.(Maybe it's the pose?) I can't help how my mind works, people.

When I know I want/have to review a book, I tend to avoid reading others reviews or visuals as I don't want to be influenced either way. With this one I barely

Forgotten Brotherhood is a new series that is gonna keep my attention. I liked the first instalment in this series. The writing style was engaging, the balance between action, suspense and steam just right, and the characters very interesting and complex.

Morrigan is a demon hunter ,she hunts them down and sends them back to hell. This is her job for 10 years , when she sold her soul to Lucifer in order to save her sister . This woman is the epitome of loyalty, strength and

I'm going to throw this scenario at you and then that's all I'm going to say.

So, you're a blackmailed bounty hunter (blackmailed by Lucifer) and you're told if you assassinate this guy then you're free. A few pages later you just happen to meet this guy (a fallen angel) in a dark alley where he randomly helps you catch the demon you're chasing. Dear goodreads staff: Instead of editing my posts could you please add the link? I'm only posting the link cuz the one at the goodreads page is not working. I'll remove the purchasing link as soon as that's fixed by you or a cool librarian.

I don't know about you but the ebook purchasing buttons in the GR page didn't work for me. It's only 4.99 the maximum I'm willing to pay for

Ok I have to start by mentioning that beautiful cover because obviously it snagged my attention because it's gorgeous ! I've not read a lot by this author so it was quite nice to find this book which is the first in this new series pitting heaven against hell or does it ? You see it begins with fallen Angel Maccus being given a contract from Archangel Gabriel to kill Morrigan but then Morrigan who is a bounty hunter for hell is instructed by Lucifer to kill Maccus ! Confused ? Well you might not ...more

When I stumbled upon this beautiful cover and riveting synopsis about a fallen angel and a demon bounty hunter I knew that I have to read this! This story really captivated me.

I really liked the main characters. They were very likable and surprisingly relatable. I think that there were some missed opportunities with the characters in terms of complexity. They

Guess what? I've found a new author to stalk champion! N.J. Walters... where the heck have you been all of my life? I feel like I've been missing so many opportunities to fall in love with your words and your characters because Maccus and Morrigan were two examples of how incredibly talented you are!

We begin N. J. Walters new Forgotten Brotherhood series with a fallen angel and a demon hunter becoming unlikely allies & lovers. Both tasked with killing the other, things definitely dont go according to plan on either side.

If ease of reading was the only thing I rated this book on it would be a five, but the problem I have is that although Fury Unleashed was no struggle, the promising plot lacked any real depth or development due to the copious amounts of

This is going to be great for those that love the Black Dagger Brotherhood or the Lords of the Underworld series. It follows the same type of format only this time around Lucifer is the big bad.

The writing is great! No problems there are all. There's lots of sex in this book so if you're looking for that, you've found it. Personally, I prefer just a wee bit less sex but it's not a game-changer I just skip the sex scenes after I get bored with them.

The characters are great!!! I loved

Fury Unleashed
is the first book in the Forgotten Brotherhood series and tells the story of Maccus and Morrigan.

What first intrigued me about this book was the cover. The dark wings and the handsome guy I just had to know what this book was about. The story sounded so interesting and it didnt disappoint! I really liked the story and the characters, it was such an original
Maccus Fury is a fallen angel who has become an assassin. When Gabriel shows up wanting to hire him to kill Morrigan Quill he wants to find out why. Morrigan is a bounty hunter who sold herself to the devil, when he shows up wanting her to kill Maccus she is not sure what he has done to tick off the Lucifer. Thinking she will seduce him she does not expect that the attraction is mutual or that Maccus is out to end her as well. Now they are fighting the growing feelings for one another while ...more

Amazing start to a new Walters' series. Heaven/Gabriel is ordering a hit on Morrigan Quill who is a bounty hunter for HELL. Lucifer is ordering her to kill Maccus a Fallen Angel and a Hunter himself. When they meet it is not steel that slashes but their hearts that get the arrow. Lots of in depth building of the main characters and their back stories. Oh yeah lots of action too. Not exactly a cliff hanger but a want from this reader to know what comes next. "A copy of this book was provided by ...more

Maccus is a fallen angel and an assassin. But when an angel comes and tries to hire him to kill a human, he refuses but is still curious why he wants her dead.

Morrigan is one of Hell's bounty hunters. She traded herself for 25 years so that her younger sister could have a safe life. But when Lucifer himself comes to her and gives her a bounty and tells her to kill Maccus, she knows this is no normal demon bounty.

Maccus runs into Morrigan when she's chasing after a demon. The instant attraction

Mr. & Mrs. Smith was such a great movie - I think it wasnt until like the 8th time I watched it I realized the premise was a bit...muddled. Why did each of the Smiths handlers want the other Smith killed?

Same deal here, only Marcus & Morgan (yeah...not the H/h real names, the author calls each some found-in-Kindle-porn-only-to-be-unique names I couldnt deal with when reading) are PNR killers that dont work for the Government but are pitted against one another cause Lucifer &

This is an interesting take on demons and angels mythology. I enjoyed reading it. Maccus is a fallen angel and a trained killer. He has lived on earth for centuries now and there is no being who is more powerful than him. He has no weaknesses and heaven and hell both leave him alone. That is until Morrigan enters the picture. She is a hell's bounty hunter. Her soul belongs to Lucifer. But against all odds, Maccus wants her and also wants to keep her safe. But do they even stand a chance when ...more

This was good, like, really good. I loved the main characters and the story kept me hooked for the entire time.

Maccus is definitely an anti hero and an awesome one at that. He was once an angel until Gabriel, his best friend, betrayed him and cut off his wings. Falling to Hell, Maccus literally carved out a bloody existence until his violence, and fear of his strength, had him kicked out of there as well. Now living on Earth, he sells his services and tries to avoid attracting the attention of

This was a nice detour from my usual genre and a new to me author. I enjoyed the angel/demon component but wished there had been more of everything. Heavily skimmed from 35% to 70% with no loss. Thanks for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Interesting start to a new series. Took me a little bit to get into the world building but after that, it had my attention. I hope to see this couple again as the series continues. Loved the author's twist on Gabriel--different look at him. Lucifer was spot on in my head.

Looking forward to reading more!

Steamy paranormal romance of an unlikely pair that are fighting the age old battle of good verses evil, heaven verses hell.

This was my first time reading a N.J Walters book and I am glad that I did. Although there were some things that fell short for me and some missteps in my opinion, I am excited for the series to continue. This book reminded me a little ( a mean a little) of  Supernatural

Maccus Fury was a warrior in heaven, betrayed by a friend and was cast to hell where he fought so hard to stay alive that even Lucifer was afraid and kicked him out. Over the years, many young upstart angels tried to assassinate him and they all failed. He had very little light left in his ever growing dark existence.

Enter Morrigan, a bounty hunter of demons under contract with Lucifer. She gets orders to kill Maccus, while he is offered a contract to kill Morrigan. They have a

this is the perfect kind of entertainment where you dont have to think and you can just sit back and enjoy the story. this definitely scratched my angel itch.

my only critique would be the uneven character development. morrigans history is explained in detail, but we are given zero facts about maccus. why did he fall? why does gabriel (his former BFF) hate him so much? why did he go to hell for 100 years? and based on the epilogue, the next installment in the series is going to focus on someone

Super sexy fallen angel that doesn't follow any rules and a badass bounty hunter who has contracted her soul to hell to save her baby sister, yes please. Add to that Walters has thrown in a power struggle between Lucifer and the archangel Gabriel, two beings that see others simply as pawns beneath them. Fury Unleashed the first book in N.J. Walters Forgotten Brotherhood is a solid start to a series I'm looking forward to reading more of.

If you love books with fallen angels and assassins, this love story will spice up your TBR!

We first follow the hero who's lost all hope of gaining his torn wings back, that is, until a grain of hope presents itself in the form of his next assignment as an assassin. But surprise, surprise when his target is also looking straight at him.

Then a whirlwind of steam and spark flare up as the assassin and bounty hunter go head to head with a bit more romance than death.

And this chemistry was a lot

This was intense! Maccus is a hot as hell fallen Angel and Morrigan is a bounty hunter from hell. The two together, combustible! This was full of action and adventure. Also some very steamy interludes. I flew three this book and I loved it! Maccus is awesome! This story rocked my world and now I have a new author to love and binge! I have some catching up to do!

1st book of the series. And it is hot and action packed. The twist are like wow. And the characters explosive. It makes you yearn for the other books.

When you live for more than a millennia, would you risk your life just to stop darkness from being unleashed? Or will you let go and destroy, for the one you loved and lost?

She delivers another book that will surely be waited for. Next book please.
